No worries at all. Welcome to the Vulcan family!! It's a great bike! Check out the playlist "Modifications- Vulcan 650" (if you haven't already). Heaps more mods videos that you might enjoy. 😉 Ride safe!!!
I just purchased one of these but the one they sent me did not come with the relay in the package. What year is your motorcycle And where did you get the seat for your bike?
Thanks for watching 😊 It's been a while since I've purchased these parts so hopefully the links are still valid... but I got them from ebay. Do you know if I can install a quad lock hard wired wireless charger into the wires behind the tacometer? That way I can skip the dc outlet all together?
Currently putting the same add on to my Cafe and this helped me make sure I wasn't fucking anything up royally. I did test the supply out on an air pump and it blew the 5A fuse for some reason, so TBD on whether I got a faulty part, or I tried to draw too much power for the unit to handle.
I have installed usb charger and one more cigarette lighter charger with out relay. Now if i am installing relay do i need to rewirre it with relay kit
JOB WELL DONE ( LIKE ) HOWEVER IT WOULD BE NICE F YOU PUT LINKS FOR THE POWER OUTLET AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU USED, JUST AN IDEA ... BUT GREAT JOB YOUNG LADY
Thanks Albert! I might go back an add the links into the video description to make them easy to find! Arghh... I'm not entirely sure which button you're talking about 😬 The button on the left hand side above the lights is a passing signal. Basically just chucks the high beams on. The buttons on the dash go through the functions... set the clock etc. Hopefully that helped?? 🤷♀️ Hehe
When I was a kid doing my apprenticeship the old guys (same age as me now...lol) had a saying... righty tighty, lefty loosy. Turn to the right to tighten, left to loosen. Hope this helps
I always HATED that phrase because I could never figure out the reference point! If you’re turning the top to the right, then the bottom’s going to the left. Point of reference is the top!
@@izzojoseph2 Lol... how many spanners do you have with the socket/hole in the middle? Put them at the back of your toolbox and just use those with a socket/hole at the end :)
I live in sunny Queensland on the Fraser Coast. I think it had about 14000 kms on it when I bought it. Picked it up for $7500. It's actually a 2016 though. In my early videos I'm convinced it's a 2017 🤷♀️ Haha
I'm a new kvs rider and your videos have help me out a lot thank you so much
I think this will be part of my first mod when I collect my vulcan next Saturday. I'm like a kid at Christmas counting down lol
Next Saturday!!! Woot woot!!! 🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳
@@TheVSChick yea I can't wait . 😀😁
Great work. I recall doing mine was a pain in the butt. But great when you see that little light come on :) Well done
Sounds like I got off easy then. Lol. It was seriously so satisfying when that light came on!
actually something soothing listening to the native birds, not just maggpies
I just bought a Vulcan S last Saturday. I am about to do the same modification. Thank you for taking the time to make the video.

You're saving my butt with all these videos!
Haha glad to hear you're finding them helpful! 😊😊
love the maggpie sound. when i hear them it is soothing
Perhaps I need to learn to appreciate nature more? 😬😬😬
Pretty clever. Just looks like it has been there forever. Nice mod 😊
Looking forward to making use of it too!
Top job. And no injuries this time!
Haha thanks. It's always a good thing when I finish a mod with all my fingers still attached 😅
Thank you again for another great video.
No worries!

Are those Magpie's cawking in the background? OMG, too funny.
Anndddd slightly annoying haha
What’s up with the rain proofing? Does the cover, cover the rain or can this get broken in rain?
So far its been fine. I've ridden it in the rain and it has held up great. I do have a windscreen though so that adds to the protection.
Great tutorial, where did you get the parts from? Struggling to find any on
line, they all say they don’t sell online. Hoping you can help 😊

I honestly don't know sorry. It's not something I've looked into.
Currently putting the same add on to my Cafe and this helped me make sure I wasn't fucking anything up royally. I did test the supply out on an air pump and it blew the 5A fuse for some reason, so TBD on whether I got a faulty part, or I tried to draw too much power for the unit to handle.
Arghh!! That's a massive pain then!! Yeah maybe faulty? I haven't had any issues with mine yet... touch wood!
why do we relay kit? if it part of saftey why does it wont comes directly with factory side
Yeah not sure hey 🤷♀️
I have installed usb charger and one more cigarette lighter charger with out relay. Now if i am installing relay do i need to rewirre it with relay kit
What would you use the plugs under the seat for? just curious
To be honest... I don't actually know! I'm thinking after market USB chargers... but could be wrong.
Well done! The next upgrade would have to be the DRZ mod hey!?! haha
I'm feeling as though there'd be a fair bit involved in that haha
Did you have to order the extra parts or did it all come in the same package
(The relays or whatever they were?)
They came together... but they are often sold separately so just triple check to make sure everything is included.

Was the bird laughing in the background?😂
I’ve done an installation recently but thanks for the video 👍
Haha most likely laughing at me pretend to know what I'm talking about haha
Does it discharge when bike is off?

@@TheVSChick thanks for that could you please tell me where abouts you get the wire from to plug into is it behind the dash ?
Yeah it's already there ready to plug into. They usually tuck it in with the rest the wires behind the dash 🙂
Can you please tell me what the button above the DIP light indicator on the dash of Vulcan S does?

@@TheVSChick yeah… it’s just nice to sit on a motorcycle after nearly 17yrs…. I am doing my learners course on the 6th and 7th of August…
@@TheVSChick I found what that button does, it just initiates the time change on the dash.
Not long to wait now. Time will fly and you'll be cruisin the streets before you know it!

'Lefty loosy, righty tighty'.... got it!! Maybe? We'll see if I remember that the next time I do a mod. Shouldn't be too long! Thanks for the tip. 😊

Done this mod myself. Simple but that bloody bracket screw is a pain in the arse if you have big fingers 😡
