The VS Chick
Australia
Приєднався 26 тра 2017
I'm an Aussie chick who rides a 2016 Vulcan S 650. I upload videos about anything motorbike related - motocamping, motorbike modifications, riding comparisons, motorbike discussion topics, motorbike challenges and more. My house mate rides a 2019 Rebel 500 so expect to see a few videos about the Honda too. There aren't too many Australian female motorbike riders who have a channel about road bikes... so if that's you... drop your channel in the comments somewhere! I also have an Instagram account where I post plenty of photos - yes... of the bike. You can find me @the_vs_chick

VS♀️ Replacing Solenoid Relay (Vulcan 650)
Переглядів 8234 місяці тому
I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue with their Vulcan before... but every now and then my bike decided not to start. After a little bit of research, a chat with a few mechanical friends and my trusty mechanic... I discovered the issue was with the solenoid. So! I bought a new one and replaced it myself. Check it out. When installing... make sure you remove the negative on the battery...

Well it's the perfect weather for a Sunday cruise and this week I decided to join the East Coast Female Riders group for a ride. We covered about 400km on some country roads and had lunch at Theebine Hotel. Group rides are good fun! #theebine #sundaycruise #ecfr Don't forget to hit like and subscribe if you want to see more videos like this! Follow me on Instagram @the_vs_chick
VS♀️ Back from the Dead (1974 G4TR100) - Part 7

It's been a looooonnnggg time since this old girl has made an appearance on the channel. Tune in to find out where she has been. You might even hear her roar to life! Hint hint! I decided not to name and shame the mechanic who took his merry time. I tried to remain sincere and friendly for the entire time I was dealing with them... mainly because I actually really just wanted him to finish the ...
VS♀️ Installing a new Battery (Vulcan 650)
Переглядів 1,3 тис.7 місяців тому
I'm not sure this would be considered a 'mod' as such... but it's definitely something I've never done before... so I thought I'd give it a go. Plus... my bike was dead so if I wanted to ride anywhere I probably had to fix it haha! When I was doing my research, the recommended battery was a YTZ10S which is a sealed lead-acid (SLA) absorbed glass mat (AGM) rechargeable battery (apparently). Howe...
VS♀️ Tassie Trip | Part Six (Bega to Hervey Bay)
Переглядів 6917 місяців тому
We finally made it home after 30 days on the road. What an adventure! It was quite a surreal feeling riding back into Hervey Bay. We are still pinching ourselves to make sure it wasn't a dream. It's pretty safe to say, we'll be packing the bikes for another epic adventure in the future. We had an absolute blast! This is honestly one of the coolest things I've been privileged to experience. #roa...

Well the rain was bound to catch up with us at some point! As soon as we hit the main land, the clouds decided to open up. But you know what? It was allll gooood! Our gear got a little wet but the bikes held up well and we managed to dry it all out easily enough. Another massive thank you to Big Bert for showing off his tour guide skills (and for tightening our chains!). Legend! This is honestl...

We cover a fair bit of Tassie in Part 4 of our trip... travelling some awesome inland roads as well as some spectacular roads up the East Coast. We had a few key moments along the way that helped keep life in perspective and remind us to ride safely. We were thrilled to be able to ride with Ian (a Tassie local) and meet his lovely wife in Derby. We loved your groovy post office. Tassie continue...

In Part Two, Rebel and I head across the Bass Strait from Geelong to Devonport. Right from our first day on Tassie, we fell in love with the twisty roads, amazing scenery, friendly locals and yummy food! We hope you enjoy this part of the trip as much as we did. This is honestly one of the coolest things I've been privileged to experience. Stay tuned for part 3 in the coming weeks. #roadtrip #t...

Rebel and I are so excited to share the first part of our trip to Tassie with you! What an adventure it has been so far! In this video we head from Hervey Bay to Geelong, covering approximately 2000kms over 6 days of riding. We travel the inland route passing through Dalby, Moree, Dubbo, Narrandera, and Shepparton before arriving in Geelong. This is honestly one of the coolest things I've been ...
VS♀️ USB Charging Port Install (Rebel 500)
Переглядів 1,3 тис.11 місяців тому
Another "quick" mod for the Rebel before our trip to Tassie. This one has been on the cards for quite some time. We purchased it on Ebay ages ago but couldn't install it as the bolts on the dash were stripped. After we finally got them sorted... we thought it would be an easy mod. BUT! Nothing is every easy when it comes to the Rebel. There are many USB charging ports on Ebay... so if you are l...

Now it's the Rebel's turn for a mod! There is a long list of sissy bars available on Ebay... so if you are looking to install one for yourself, perhaps find one that is closest to your location so postage is quicker and cheaper! Well this is a mod I never thought I'd do... but after spending a week on the road I decided it would be an awesome addition! More space to carry gear and more areas to tie my gear down. In this vid, Rebel and I head off on our longest camping adventure yet! The annual 7 day 2023 Southern Cross Association Poker Run. It was our first ever Poker Run and we were just blown away by how well it was organised, the great atmosphere and the countless people who wanted to stop and chat. It certainly wasn’t without its challenges though… as literally every day something seemed to go wro...

the seat really is the only negative of the bike, its a great ride, the suspension is great and then the seat tries to cut you in two after 45 minutes. such a strange thing for kawasaki to miss.
Hi VS Chic dig your vids they help alot....wondering if the cushion pad off the sissybar if you're not going to use it can I buy it off you ?...cheers Rocky
That booster plug will make your engine smoother by enriching the fuel, but it will reduce horsepower from around 61bhp to around 57/58bhp it will also reduce your mpg. Only saying
My vulcan s 2017 have 10amps fuses. Should i replace them with 30amps?
Those handle bars look so awesome. I always ride alone. I’d love to find a group like that. Great video
Ma’am, I was wondering if you’ve had to change your tires yet? If so were you happy with the stock tires??
Thank you!! The instructions that came with this thing were terrible and you saved the day! My wife is much more eager to hop on the back with this on
looks like nightcraftbobbers are out of business. anyone know where to find some bars?
Wow. Your hair looks great. Love your videos
under the same price of the vulcan better buy hornet 750 . Same fuel consumption .
Thank you for this post. My battery hasn't been staying strong when not rode for a few days, will jump but just want to get a new one to be safe and comfortable. Thank you for sharing and posting.
Hey, can you put a motorcycle jacket inside the panniers? Is it possible?
I am in Queensland, and I am thinking of enrolling in a Pre-learner course. After watching your video, I learned a lot😄. I have a few questions I would like to ask: 1. What are the requirements for enrolling in this Pre-learner course? For example, is there a minimum age requirement? Or do I need to have a car driver’s license first? 2. After successfully obtaining the Pre-learner license, am I allowed to ride on the road by myself? I have searched a lot of information, but the answers are inconsistent, and I couldn’t find a clear answer to my questions. I hope you can help, and I appreciate it very much!😃
Great, you can rest your right hand to the Legs of your backrider chick.😂
Yo tengo una Rebel. Estoy encantado con ella y me la volvería a comprar pero coincido totalmente en los comentarios del vídeo.
A good review. I think I’d like one but as I have a huge van with a cabin in it and two tents, one new, never opened can I really even consider it? Your review made me want one though 😅
It seems they don't have any stock left for this bar and wiring kit and I have no clue if other options out there will be applicable as they never state that it's for a vulcan or not.. can you or anyone shed some insight so I can get the same handlebar setup as the one in this video? Much love from nz
Awesome video ma’am. You’re very interesting to watch.
I'm a new kvs rider and your videos have help me out a lot thank you so much
Love your videos ma’am. I just bought a 2024 Vulcan S last week. Love it so far
I just purchased this bike and the battery was dead and couldn’t jump it I had gotten a new lithium battery about $50 and it weighs only 8 ounces and there’s no liquid dry battery.
I just purchased one of these but the one they sent me did not come with the relay in the package. What year is your motorcycle And where did you get the seat for your bike?
Are these compatible with 2023?
What's the exhaust you put on your vulcan? Doesn't sound like stock.
what are the side cases on the Vulcan by the engine?
This is an awesome demo.. I still wish I could just pay you to do this for me.. 😂😂. I just don’t have the patience. Really want to do this to my bike tho!!
Great setup. Is it rain resistant? How does it stand in windy conditions? Cheers
Quite right, Honda really loused up pretending the Rebel was a cruiser but what genuine cruiser dose not have feet forward! Therefore, my Vulcan turns up Friday, everything crossed! The USA is getting a new Shadow cruiser from Honda which is feet forward, now if that came to the UK....................???
Thank you, will purchase with confidence now :)
I’d love to know how tall you are pls, I’m 163cm and been eyeing off the vulcan for a while, as a first timer, but if it’s going to be too big for me the rebel is my next pick!
Dremelling love it! How did the charging cord go flapping in the breeze? I just put a charging port on my bike 👏👏
Really good vid, we have basically the same restriction laws over here in the UK, This was really useful to find a bike that I could ride on my A2(restricted 35kw).
Your videos are always helpful. Is there anyway that you could tell me which way the two fuel lines on the left side of the tank get connected? I think one is a fuel return and a vent maybe? My tank is marked with a blue dot but neither hose is marked. One of the hoses runs down through the bike and out by the kickstand, should it be connected to the port on the tank with the blue dot or the other port? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was hoping I could see it in some of your other videos but you didn't go that far
What a cool video ! Some of these mods really are freaking awesome. That Hoglight is oh so pretty, and that tail tidy is something I will likely steal from your list !
Thanks so much for watching. There's so much you can do to the Vulcan. I've done more since this vid as well. The light is still going strong
Great that, well done...pronounced Bawlbunda, weird I know haha.
There's too many Os haha
Great Video… Loved riding up Mount Perry & surrounds 👍
Yeah nice lil area hey
You should frame that photo of the bikes in the tunnel! So cool!
Yeah I love it. It's the background on my phone too
I’d say step 1 check q ride qualified status through ur TMR Qld account then you will know if you can book ur QRide top rider whatever as I booked course first but moved interstate 6 months prior and it’s been a headache to confirm it but finally going on the weekend
Glad it worked out for you in the end. Good luck with it
@@TheVSChick thx mate I passed the pre learners yesterday officially on the road 🤙
@Outlaw_Wolfie888 That's frikkin awesome! Well done!!!
Yay!! Always nice to see the gals back in action 😊
Woot woot! Thanks for tuning in 😁
Should have ridden through it 😂
It was so loud riding through it! Shame we didn't see more bats though
First time in a tunnel lol 🏍️💨💨💨

Also this reminds me I need to fix my light!
Yeah! Still don't really know what went wrong with it hey

@TheVSChick fitted a batwing fairing to front of my Vully she looks lot bigger from the front now. Next I'm thinking of adding a leather bagster to her
Nice one!
Do these vibrate? I installed similar ones, and they vibrate pretty bad
I haven't had any issues with vibration at all
sweeet
Slowly getting there hey
@TheVSChick it's not how fast you get there it's that you get there
True true
