Wow, it's crazy what you can get nowadays for such a decent price! I love the fact all these things pretty much came from the HAM radio community developing little bits of the tech here and there over time, collaborating until the tech got to this stage. I don't think SDR like this would've been a thing without countless thousands of radio HAMs around the world developing it all. Great to see where it's all progressed to!
I just bought this radio. I would love to know how you have hooked up. Antenna, tuner, swr, etc. My goal is just QRP at any time and place. I'm set with my 2m/70cm operations for Emcomm. I'd love to start getting what I need while I'm still a tech class ham.
Thanks for helpful video. I suspect that you are not getting any TX power out of the radio when using WSJT-8. I've had the same problem with an X6100. The X6100 works fine with JS8Call and another FT8 program (JTDX I think).
You are correct about insertion loss; every coupler counts. The radio has good ears for it's size. It even has a miniature waterfall. Perhaps just a software issue for digital? Software gives me a headache. I'll leave that to you 😆 ☮ brother.

I guess I cannot post a link. Check out the WPSD Project. Search on wpsd project amateur radio. It was written by amateur radio operators.
I love my G106, it works great for the price. I prefer the audio through the speaker mic best. Thanks for the video.

Now build a 25 watt linear for it! Thanks for the ham stuff!
thats pretty cool seems like it makes doing amateur radio pretty easy
Thank you for sharing with all of us😊👍👍
I like this Radio...I gotta get my license...
Great video!
Does this radio have continuous receive coverage ?
And the tuner is so fast❤
Were all the original serious bugs worked out; ie bad, dirty SSB modulation and CW waveforms?
I don't know. I seriously only bought it for digital, and I can't seem to get it to work. So it's sitting in a box.

Looks good i thought it might have had direct entry on mic bnc not a problem
IS there a better microphone to use with G106. Thanks
I dont know, I ended up returning it.
I recommend you put a fuse in line with that cord just in case something might short out❤
