So so sorry to hear about applejack. Made me cry. At one time someone love that pony. Too be left to his own defenses and auction is terrible.
It sure was, I can't imagine leaving a small, blind creature at any auction...AppleJack was tired, safe and loved and let go to go the the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge.....RIP
She.
I so sad 😞 about Apple Jackson. At least her life ended with a comfortable stall and people who loved her not a truck headed to slaughter. Funny but sweet Doc, you are so good at what you do. Lol 😆 to you all in your humanitarian efforts.
APPLEJACK! 😭😭😭 Will never be forgotten and forever loved❤ What a show and best team ever! Thank you Horse Plus!👍
You are right AppleJack! will never be forgotten.
Keith, you are a tough guy but I know you heartbroken when you found Applejack ... All you guys did all you could to save her, Thank you,
Sure have missed Doc and his amazing sense of humour during stressful and sad times for these poor animals. Thank you Doc!!!
Hello 👋 dear how are you doing?
The winner is the Belgium that got tge Spa treatment! Cliping off that ugly hair, getting a good soap up and rinse! That had to feel so good! He looked 100% better!
Agreed..👍👍👍👍👍🥳
Belgian looking good..
Thx guys!! 🐎😎💞
I always love seeing Doc when he comes out to Horse Plus! He is a great vet and a wonderful and goofy personality! So sorry to hear about Apple Jack! She was a cute pony. Oak is so huge! I can't believe he's so big! Love draft horses and Horse Plus!
I have a friend who's horse needed eye removal surgery due to cancer. He's been doing great for years.
RIP Applejack.
oh man. I watch these episodes, and I cry. I am just so saddened by the general lack of care in the equine world...But then they get to Horse Plus, and they get what they need. Trying to look at the bright side here! Thank you, Horse Plus staff! You all are doing the best job that you can, and the horses you save are thriving under your care. 💖
What a wonderful asset Jenna is to Horse Plus!
I think of this all the time. Every time another bunch come in. At one point that animal was loved and cared for. It was a foal with his mom. Now they are being thrown away for a few dollars. Disgusting human beings. At least they have Horse Plus to make their leaving a proper farewell. They were loved once again.
People are horrible. How can anyone neglect an animal this way? They are pure discust!! Payback is a bitch
I just love Jena and her husband! They are both so comical. I don't know who's the funniest of the two! I think they have the kind of relationship that will make them easy to work together and with others. Congrats!
Okay I love doc kori Kieth you guys are awesome... and work well together...
Hugs to y’all to loose a horse during the night is sad. applejack is running free and you gave Applejack peace and love.
Hi 👋 how are you doing?
There's never any shame in admitting you can't handle things financially and surrendering your animals to a good shelter. Surrendering an animal shows that you loved them and care about what happens to them. It's those who take their animals to kill auctions that should be ashamed. Selling them at auction shows the animal only meant as much as its monetary value to you.
Words cannot describe how infuriated I am to see these beautiful animals suffer so needlessly. Since I was a child, I have loved and wanted to be around horses. Unfortunately, I have never been in a financial position (or a good location) to own one. To see so many who suffer at the hands of negligent owners just brings me to tears. They have no idea how lucky they are or how many others long to be in a position to have the resources to afford such animals. It's all I've ever wanted and something I will never have. I hate the cruelty of it. I hate the irony that horses are tossed like trash when someone like me would do anything to have and love one. Maybe in another life, I will afford to live with these wonderful creatures and give at least one the most wonderful of lives. It's just not fair when I have so much love and respect to give.
@@forgottenquill7063 That's my situation exactly. Ever since I first rode a horse at 5, having one of my own has been a dream of mine, and that dream hasn't left me in the nearly 30 years since that day. I have never had the money nor land to keep one. And it tears at my heart to see these beautiful souls being shipped off to be slaughtered. These are living, feeling creatures that have known love from humans. How can their owners treat them like trash?
@@DragonFae16Hi there. Guess what, it can be done, I hope your'e a place to do it. Been around the beasties since 6 and before I went to college I had 4 two of my own and two that i took care of and rode for their owners. While in College I gave my two to very responsible owners who I knew very well and the horsies were visited and ridden wheneverr I was in state. While In Michigan, I transfere
@@DragonFae16 Hi! Look for stables in your area, look at 4-H clubs. Volunteer, read books about horses and their care. My first lecture to a pony club was about parasites! People with horses, many times will trade taking care of their horse and shoveling stalls. Being around a barn and beasties is a wonderful feeling. Look for those opportunities and Voluenteer to help, just to be around the animals! Good Luck. I got my last horse at 45, after not having one since 1976, after voluteering, and working at stables.Have fun!
So glad DeLente is doing well.Has anyone spoken to the Gorilla Tape company to see if they would sponsor the horse?
Good idea!!
super idea!
A sponsorship would be worth the phone call!!
What an education to watch Doc's assessments and treatments. You guys are fabulous! Thanks for all you do!
So Sorry to hear about Applejack…..😢😢 I guess the little guy had more issues you couldn’t see. Such a precious little guy!! But he’s at the Rainbow Bridge running and eating lots of grass in a beautiful place. We will see him again someday…..😢😢❤️❤️🌹🌹
All so beautiful
That eye was getting worse, swelling a bit more each video. I'm glad Doc could get it out, and I hope the horse is well soon!
I love watching Doc. He’s just a really good guy.
Keith has help 👏👏👏
Keith, I'm sad with you over the loss of Applejack. You being able to show your sorrow about her loss is amazing and heart-rendering. Thank you all of Horse Plus for trying to save her. She was a sweetheart. I am glad she isn't hurting anymore, but it's a sad loss nonetheless.
Super job everyone!!!
RIP Applejack 🦄🐎💖
Aaaawww rip applejack. At least he is out of pain bless him
Sorry she
If you’re looking for creative input, as most people who watch your channel do so because they love horses, you could spend some time filming the rescue horses while they go about their lives in the pasture, and do a voice over telling us their stories ( how they’re progressing, what issues they seem to have, how they’re being managed)
I totally agree!
Yes! That would be awesome I'd love to see some progress maybe make another channel for info on the progression of each horse.
more vids for the updates - love the work you do
Yes ...terrific idea!!
Kathy ABSOULTLEY that would be great👍🐴🐎🥰fr.Australia
Thanks so much for helping all the animals and for making this video.
Fantastic as usual ,you could tell the dog realized he's safe I'm not a dog person but I thought he was lovely .hope the bloke who came for interview got the job.
I had forgotten that back east 85 degrees feels like 120 with the humidity. I live in the desert now and you forget about that. 85 here feels much cooler because it’s so dry. I feel for everyone at Horse Plus truly. You need more fans guys!! Or maybe a portable swamp cooler. ❤️❤️❤️
Swamp cooler’s don’t work in humidity. I’m from Tennessee but lived in Colorado over 40 years. Swamp cooler all I’ve ever needed here. I hate air conditioning
Wooop hoooo docs back properly. He was so missed

How lucky you are to have Kory, he is so knowledgeable, kind and an asset to Horse Plus, in all aspects of your work.
Evening y'all. 💘 🐎 🐂 🐖 🐑 🐐 🐕 🐱 🇺🇸
I am such a fan of Kory, he is a saint and so sweet. Is he up for adoption?
Lol.
He seems like such a good and knowledgeable guy !
Lmao
I had a 15 year old Grey Arab that had a tumor much larger than that one that the vet said she wanted to either euthanize the horse or remove the eye. The horse had limited vision in her other eye from an injury before I got her. I stalled and said I wanted to do some research first. Read where horse grains are actually causing problems in horses so I pulled her off of all grains and strictly hay and pasture diet. Within six months that tumor completely shrank away. She remained tumor free until she had a stroke 5 years ago and had to go on a processed feed mush due to not being able to chew, they slowly started coming back, but she didn't need to be put down until this summer at the age of 37, and that was mostly because of muscle atrophy due to the stroke that was causing leg issues.
Another action packed episode x 883 horses saved how wonderful! I think you need to hurry up and get the Vet hospital finished and put a day bed in there for doc you are working him way too hard :D. you guys rock!
Hi again
Another super good vid everyone! Happy to see Doc again doing his very important work on the horses in need.
Disgusted and sad as always for the ones neglected and or abused by cruel heartless humans. Thankfully they've ended up with you all for another chance in life. You always try and make the best decisions for each of them even if it's the last act of kindness. The number for nationwide help already is incredible and early in this year.
Heartfelt thanks to you all for caring helping and loving all the special creatures...
RIP Apple jack. What a fantastic video. Enjoyed this video so much. You all are so amazing! God bless ❤.
Probably normal herd behavior. He’s stunning.
They never assessed whether or not he was proud cut. Is that something that can be fixed?
Hey from the U.K. 🙂
Applesauce relaxed enough to pass away... You did the right thing. The kinder thing! THANK YOU
Horses and other equines can adapt very well to being blind. Horse plus even has a lady who regularly adopts blind horses etc
Most horses and ponies get used to being blind. I remember reading a story where a blind broodmare was at a racing stable. She had a tarmac around the fences and trough’s.
She literally tore up the ground galloping around and never hit anything with the tarmac warning her. And when someone caught her she would rest her head on the groom’s shoulder so she could tell from the way he moved his arm what was going on.
They even had a bell around the foals neck so she could tell where it was. Amazing and true story.
Check out Endo, the blind horse. He has an amazing life.
Just like a blind human, they are smart and if they are worked with they depend on their rider to be their eyes, when in a pasture another animal like another horse or whatever works best for the horse will be the eyed, its no different than a human using a seeing eye dog to get arounf
@@tammywooley2635 THANK YOU!! GOT IT!
I just love you all and what you do. So many blessings.
Beautiful vlog well done guys
Thank you all for taking such good care of these sweet animals🥺😔
Let's get Doc a little stool or something!
I’m catching up with all these old videos as I’m new to your organisation- it’s very interesting. Waving from England.
so many beautiful horses! but of course, all horses are beautiful. as much as I love seeing the horses and donkeys, I cant help but feel excited seeing other animals too. im so glad that dog was able to get that chain taken off. that would have been such a horrible situation if it lasted any longer. thank you for saving all critters big and small, regardless of fur, feathers or scales.
That draft reminds me of Eeyore.
Bless all of your time with all the animals
I saw a procedure on television where they put chemo pellets into the tumor on the eye and the chemo pellets killed the tumor but the horse was able to keep its eye!
You do brilliant work, thank you so much
Applejack, the poor little thing, but at least he went in peace surrounded but love and other horses 🐎 🦄
Had a dog pop an eye 25yrs ago. Covered my eyes until I knew the coast was clear. My dog was fine, handled it like a champ and had no issues adjusting to life with one eye. It got popped by some mean boys who were walking home from school and lived in my neighborhood. I couldn't chase them down because my 1st priority was my dog. They never passed my house again. I sat outside every morning and afternoon watching for them.
Thank you for all you do to save these poor neglected animals. You guys are Angels 👼❤️
I lived on Leonard Brumley’s farm in Hohenwald for a summer in 1973. It was one of my fondest memories. Everyone treated me so well. At that time there was what we called a “hippy farm” next door. We went fishing and hunting on a river that ran through the woods there. Quite an experience. Now I live in the high desert of Arizona where horses are plentiful and I have been in love with them all my life. Thanks for what ya’ll do for these magnificent creatures.

me: just going with the flow and not watching a video at all.
LOL you guys save lives!!! horse plus forever!!!
at 12.50 heartbreaking and tears for this sweet horse 🙏🙏🙏💙💕💜
Just ordered y’all a bunch of Gorilla Tape for the Drafts and all. Love from KY
The eye thing..first time..it gets better. Im going from janitor at resthome to resident aide to cna.. i could clean poo off a toilet etc.. ( mix with baking soda it turns like clumping kitty litter. Peppermint in my mask..but diapers.. omg awful but the more i was " exposed" the more i could " deal" with it. One scrape on thin skin..tons of blood..( ugh i cant do it..now since ive been around it more.. im getting better with it. Hope that makes sense? The more you are exposed the better you " deal" with it.
Prayers for Applejack🐎🙏
Can I just say how much I LOVE Jenna? Had I become a vet tech, I would have wanted to be just like her.
Aw thank you for your sweet words. I am very blessed to have an amazing job with great people ❤
Poor Applejack! Rest easy baby!

You got Stocks! Such a useful tool!

It is so amazing what all you have done for all these animals! The vet barn looks like it's coming along nice! Can't wait to see a tour when it's finished!
I like the way you save the horse Nannette
at 8.20 gourgous horse prayers this horse will b OK AND RECOVERS🙏🙏
It's a sad thing to adopted horse failure but the knowledge there is always a home to return to ĺove and care in abundance blessings to you all xxx
For proud flesh here in Italy ive learned from my vet to use a powder that comes fr om the willow tree its called acido salicilico im sure doc will know it it works like magic!
From the willow tree? That would be salicylic acid...the main ingredient of aspirin. I would bet Doc is familiar with it.
For me, I can see injuries no matter how bad they are but as soon as someone starts poking around it's over for me xD
poor apple jack TwT she was so cute, but at least she got to spend her last moments in a good place, you guys did all that you could do. TwT
😮start telling what happens to the saved one’s.😊
They get adopted. You see them in the adoption videos
I am grief-stricken about Apple Jacks' passing. We love De Lente and donated to his fundraising for medical procedures and after care. THANK YOU HORSE PLUS HUMANE SOCIETY TEAM OF ANGELS.💖💖💖
WE ARE TRYING TO GUESS WHO IS THE MYSTERY LADY WHO CAPTURE KORY'S HEART. IS KELSEY THE SPECIAL LADY???
I want to thank Horse Plus because you have given me a solution that I should have thought of, but did not. I am a novice Miniature horse rescuer to two minis. They are pretty green and though I have been combing them; that winter hair just will not release. Stupid or ignorant me did not even think about using my Scottie's hair trimmers to aid me in removing the unsightly and hot winter mats. Thank you so very much. Horse owner since 1976 and currently with 3 horses, 2 minis, 2 donkeys, 2 IW's, 1 Great Dane, a beautiful Heinz 57 and the BOSS of all of us is our Scottie (rat, snake and skunk killer extraordinaire), Duncan MacGregor the Black. I check y'all's UA-cam channel daily; heartened by the love and dedication you extend to our animal companions who have fallen on difficult times. Bless you all.
Good luck with rescuing those minis. Hope they turn out to be awesome friends for you
Check they don't have Cushings if their winter coat won't come away.
Howdy!
Betcha " pokie n Jack might pull a cart as a team.
Rita Duncan these guys are great!
With the blind pony try putting a cup of apple cider vinegar into her water. It helps with electrolytes as well as giving her a scent to follow.
Another great episode! Thank you and goodnight!!
That’s why castrations are usually done in winter.
Love Doc💝
I have to look up so many horse terms: “Proud cut,” “Proud flesh”. Is Jukebox going to get treatment to correct his situation so he can be adopted out again? We have a make Siamese cat with similar problems to Jukebox. Vet called it being a “Super Tom” which means that despite being properly neutered, he still has significant amounts of testosterone in his system. As he’s gotten older he’s settled down. Still wants to fight an intact male cat who hangs around, but he doesn’t bother his sister like he used to.
I had a rescue cat like the white horse. Severe frostbite. Emotional issues, very severe
best ever Gorilla tape where is the Gorilla???- that shows how power full these are and the
smaller horse is one HP love the show it is really coming together - what would be more powerful the horse are the gorilla
Question : “ what is that “
Doc : Superglue
Question: what is that for
Doc : to hold things together
Hahahahaaahaaahaaa😂😂😄hahaha
my prayers are with the horses and donkeys and cats and dogs
I pray also for the people who devote their time to rescuing and caring for these beautiful animals. That they keep fighting for every animal, that they have the emotional, mental and physical strength to do whatever is best for each animal.
When do the owners that don't do the right thing get to pay for their negligence and uncaring towards horses?? When do they pay???
They should be hung
27:26 if you’re going to wear a helmet, make sure it’s properly tightened. The way it’s on can do way more harm than good if you hit your head.
What did Sara say about Jukebox? I couldn't catch what she said you all think his issue may be. As a newish horse rider, I totally watch this for the education about everything that can go wrong with a horse!
He’s a proud cut, meaning when he was gelded he had enough of his testical left that it left him with stallion like behavior. Or a non gelded horse.
Not a huge issue usually, but he’s very aggressive towards mares from what it sounds like. Stallions can get very protective about mares, even around geldings and will be aggressive because of them perceiving that they’re protecting their herd from gelding’s when really there’s no issues.
@@SaraNightfire1 ahh. Got it! Thanks.
I would really love to see the name of people who are talking on the screen. I mean it would really help to get to know people that work there and just be more engaged.
I wish we could see the eye surgery an the other surgeries
Evening yall
Yeah! Thursday night!
Love Kory!
Oh that dog is a cutie!
Sad about applejack had hopes for her rip
shame on the little lady at least she was there - looked after and loved - and her own stall
De Lente, more tape is heading your way, bud! Hang in there! 😍😘
EUTHANISE that is what it is called. Don't sugar coat it, call it by its correct name. There is no shame in that.
