Can confirm. I already knew how to play the game but a friend let me play against his Dark Magician deck with the Phantom Knights deck from the box.
Never played PN before, but they were easy to understand and the deck could actually play.
I beat my friend with it.

Well, even though I had a secret rare Loki, I think Phantom Knights are my favorite.
I liked Nordics for the same exact reason as Paul lol.

I was hoping to get Elemental Heroes in this thing but I'll pick this up since it looks neat and I'm bored.
I might pick this up just for the Nordic cards. cuz as a Synchro and a 5d's fanboy I love them Nordic Cards
I've been considering getting back into the game, and these decks have so many staples it looks like a good choice to start with before buying singles even.
Big fan of these releases. I don't play YGO much nowadays and this lets me play with a friend or two right out of the box.

The Hero monsters are the best and coolest monsters in yugioh in my opinion. So cool. I only play heroes since years. 💪🏼

Wow, some of the stuff in here is insane. If you bought 3 of these you'd have the deck core for a Dark Warrior link spam deck.

They give you Armageddon knight which basically does the same thing in the deck they gave you minus the free polymerization.
@David yeah but Vyon is searchable by E-call, Armageddon knight is only really technically searchable by rota…...I mean...….Honestly vyon would've made this product worth buying for me.
@@ENDIEKID Vyon isn't searchable by E-Call, E-Call only searches E-heroes. It is worse than Armageddon Knight but its because you can't use Vision Hero Increase's effect on Knight, only Vyon

I still can't believe they didn't reprint Vyon and Stratos here. I'm not paying $60 for a playset of Vyon, and Blazeman is not nearly as good in Fusion!D-HEROs... I guess I'll have to suck it up and build a subpar version of my favorite deck.
They had so pretty good cards in the box. I've always been a hero player so I have my playset but being available for other players would be nice. I'm thinking it and stratos will be gold series cards.
Armageddon does the same thing vyon does tho
It really doesn't. Vyon not only dumps any HERO to the GY, but it also can banish a HERO to search Poly. Vyon opens up SO many combos for D-HEROs that Armadeddon Knight can't do quite as well.
It is probably the best replacement though, and it's what I'm going to have to substitute Vyon with.

Nordic can be crazy. If you use Gullveigs effect properly you can literally win on your third turn if you get dark hole in your starting had. All you have to do is use gullveig eff to drop odin on the field use odin eff then dark hole
I like the deck, but Gullveig is the only thing that makes the deck good
@@toddsheil2883 fr. Especially in link format. Ig technically you could use grisnir to SS 2 lvl 3 tokens then tune them with vanadis to drop Odin but IDK how reliable that would be compared to using gullveig

Iv ALWAYS wanted a Nordic deck so I'll be at the very least picking up the singles when it releases. Not gonna lie, I ran around two days ago looking for the set when I thought it was out due to all the unboxing videos I saw in my suggestions lol. Also I need to buy a playset of all those Ultras as I need them

The Ultras in this set are weird. Why is Dark Hole an Ultra in the Nordic deck? I guess with Twin Twisters as an Ultra in the Phantom Knight deck we now have it in all rarities except Ultimate Rare, but I don't see why it needed to be an Ultra in this set specifically.
Also, no Vyon reprint = fail.
thefateshavewarned Exactly! It’s like they couldn’t think of anything else to print in the ultra slot. Dark hole is an already super cheap card (crappy too, if ppl don’t run raigeki, why would they run Dark Hole?!?!?) makes no sense in ultra and is wasted space. Stratos and Vision Hero Vyon should’ve also been here. Disc commander in ultra also feels bad. That should’ve been a common. An ultra Stratos and Shadow Mist would’ve looked great imo and no one would’ve complained since everyone would run them. But logic fails Konami every time.
Hopefully they reprint them in ultra in next year’s all-holo 100 card set releasing in March. But my hopes aren’t high.

Yeah.
Darth Dragonborn Until you realize most of those cards are literally dirt cheap and 1-of's, if not side-decked. They don't really make it feel complete. Phantom Knights don't even use, or can't use some of those cards.

Hey APS I just got back into physical YGO and was wondering what’s some boosters/series is worth the dollar .( I haven’t played since middle days in physical)
Buying singles is the most efficient way if you are looking for a competetive deck.
Just buy singles
I think it’s also worth mentioning that I’m more of a collector/casual player that like to play multiple decks I don’t have specific cards in mind
@@HydroXYZ1 well im still suggesting to buy singles. Look up a deck you like and buy the core you need. If u play casually youll get your decks for around 20-50 each, depending on the deck. With time youll get a collection going.
Buying packs and hoping to build a collection takes more money and time. You can invest in some sets with good reprints though, as these tend to be good for trading
