Enjoying the process and to create with no expectations were my big takeaways from this. Very helpful video :)
Kesh other youtubers don't comment in others videos but I saw your comments in many videos😍😍
Yes Same here
Sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
Wow! I never thought of it like that before: only by doing will I be motivated- not a poster, not some "ritual" of things to get started, and not even having a ton of resources ("Art of..." books, etc.). Feel very silly now, but also encouraged!
Thank you so much Jake! I really needed this today 🙏😭 also I really liked that most of the common message that the creators shared was “Enjoy the progress, and take your time.” That’s something I’m working towards to do, because I still doubt myself, so thank you so much for this video and the messages Jake!
Thank you for making this :) It is nice to also get advice from different creative people feeling pumped up and ready for more work in my creative journey :) Have a wonderful day !!!!!
Thank you for the great video Jake. Hope it will help young creators.
Thanks for going out of your way to get some advice from some awesome people, and further, for sharing it with us! Such valuable insight, and my favorite takeaway is to really focus on loving the PROCESS. Great video
"Show up everyday and put in the work."
Jake, thank you for the compilation :)
Good to have you back, Jake! Lots of really great advice in here.
This is so amazing and helpful Jake. And to all artists out there! thank you so so much.
Fantastic art pep talk, thank you for this video! I have a bunch of inspiring people to check out now 😊 Thank you for all you do for the community Jake!
One of the best advice and videos filled with insights from you and others creators. Just found this in 2020 as I too decided to take that multidimensional perspective on what one can do in life. So far, so good. I am enjoying the process and having people appreciate what I have to offer is the biggest reward. We all have something to create and share. We just have to be in that mind set and have support from others like you who have reached that level of creativity. Thank you. I will take this advice, show up every day (post every week to inspire others) for two years and publish three books. Hard to do, but I am ready for the challenge.
Thanks for uploading this video. I needed to hear this today
Thank you everyone for taking the time out of your busy schedule and speaking to us and inspire us. Thank you again very much. :)
Awesome video! Thanks Jake, and all your guests!
Thank you so much for making this video and for getting these people to give us advice. I feel Sean's advice resonated the most with me. " Motivation comes from doing. " This video is really inspiring. Thank you again so much for sharing!
Thank you! Your videos are super high quality and worthwhile! Always look forward to them!
Thank you for posting this video Jake. It was much needed and very useful.
Thanks for putting this together Jake! It was so helpful and really enlightening. I recently graduated from college and have been looking for jobs in my field, but in the back of my mind, i know i just want to create. Seeing successful artists like yourself and the ones in this video give me hope. So thanks again

Perhaps my favorite video from you yet, Jake. I am a writer, but the advice definitely carries over. Some excellent reminders when I feel like I am not seeing the results that I want.

Great advice for us one-person businesspeople/artists!!
Thank you for this! What Bob said made my day - I'm worried I will always struggle because I don't do just one thing well. I feel better hearing someone say do different stuff, don't just do one thing! Aww, THANK YOU! 😃
Wow, thanks for the video! Everyone always tells me to focus on one thing its encouraging to hear the opposite! That I can enjoy the journey and try new things!😊
Great video Jake, thanks!
Nice to know that I share the same mentalities as all these guys!

Holy heck, tell me you didn't shoot that opening time lapse B-roll... and with a smooth camera pan! Did you have rolling dolly with you?
Thanks for this video, SPOILER: specially the summary
at the end, GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this was great advice.
Very cool! Sound advice given from these creators. I am an older artist and am wondering if anyone at this conference was over age 40 LOL. Any tips for old artists like me that don't exactly have time on their side?
Hi Diane, Check out the podcast episode we did called "Am I Too Old To Get Started." We've got a bunch of advice for 40+ year old people who feel like it's too late to have a career. www.svslearn.com/3pointperspectiveblog/2018/4/11/episode-2-am-i-too-old-to-get-started
how you ink the skyheart on the paper and color it digital with out ink it again in digital and be the ink layer on the top of layers ?
I hope you understand me I don't know how to say it
Thank you all!
An interesting video. But, what constitutes a "successful" creative? Is it measured in career status or title? Is it measured in sales or how much money one makes? Is it about getting published? Or, perhaps, is it gauged in the joy one experiences throughout life? There are many great points in the video, but depending on how one measures "success," in any field - especially the creative field - the first step to success is the word "yes," and just getting started, just like Sean mentioned. Well done, Jake, and a great discussion - thank you! :)
M.D. Campbell I just love what you have to say. To piggy back off of what you said I feel like it’s up to each person to decide what constitutes their own success and I think that’s determined based on creating goals. What I consider success for myself was getting rid of my boring day job and getting to work in the creative field. But to each their own :).
I saw a Gundam at back on the bookshelf. Do you have other gunpla #gundam plastic model kit
That's my first and only one. I want to do more!
What program do you yous to fotosoph
I have a question about your T-shirts. Is there any kid sizes?
Is it ok if I post my artwork too late for a daily rules for inktober? "Ex.I made my Day 1 in Oct 4"
Wow
Where is the list of inktoper for 2018 ☺
Hi Charli! :)
You should get other art you tubers and make a superhero comic
Yeah I still haven't found my style. I guess I will just continue to do fan art..
What is ur bgm
Not sure where to ask for this... but I would like Jake to put drawings book 2 back in stock. Thumbs up if you agree!
Help me get him to see this 🙂
I would love to see an animator create an insane asylum being turned inside out to where the world becomes crazy and only the crazy people (then inside) are sane. Seems to fit our day and age.
Resume: show up everyday for 2 years.
*E V E R Y D A Y*
I thought you and Bob probably already knew each other.
Nope, but we found out we have a friend in common.
Teenagers
The skills are available online.
This is the time to get good at what you like doing. (If you don't know, then that's a problem!)
Ripped Off!
Artists work is the most ripped off occupation EVER! (books, music, TV, Movies, artwork etc.)
Expanding Industry
New ways of making money using the internet. (How? I don't know. But to live as an artist in the future that will be the way.)
You Tube, Celebrity, Social stuff... (Think Kardashians...)

I just made my first art Instagram account this week. This was great to watch, very good advice. I’m trying to post something once a day. Thanks Jake!
Art insta is georgetheantelopesteele 😁 got only 1 follower so far but I’m greatful
George Hurley like the wrestler? I tried to follow you but couldn't find an actual profile.
this was so discouraging they're all designers, where the fuck are the artists? i understand that design is business but how to deal with art as a business? hell, thats why im thinking serious to become a graphic designer instead of illustrator and artist, pls halp, because the more business person you are, more shitty and boring is your artist person, since graphic design is always interesting in both ways
