- So I made an "Apocalypse" Difficulty in Minecraft, a custom modded Difficulty where we removed the entire sun from Minecraft... this was insane.

The goal should be to make an artificial Sun… by combining 9 campfires into *heat* , Then combine 9 *heat* , you get the picture. eventually you get *the SUN* and then you look up at the sky and place it down(or I guess up) and then everything returns to normal, the normal Minecraft credits roll… and everything is fine in the end… (The ender dragon died from the sudden cold)

the heat from an oven should slow the freezing, iglos/caves/shelter should also *slow* or temporarily stop it from going down or up. although i can see how that'd be very difficult to code

The furnace heating part is actually fairly simple, and is in Tough As Nails(the go-to temperature mod) with about the same function

If it was extended:
New Strays: Buff, Elemental, Weak, Faster, Slower, TNT Stray
Replacement for Creeper: Glacier Stalker (texture is blue ice) If it attacks you, your temperature bar go to the lowest point
Replacement for Rabbit: Preserved Thing (passive) if you kill it, your health go’s down by 2 hearts (drops raw rabbit) (rare)
Replacement for Enderman: Icyman (texture is blue ice too) basically like Enderman, but it is a frost mob like the stray

Lore for this difficulty: you are a survivor of a team of advanced humans who had shut down the facility and put evry survivor in a cryogenic stasis to regulate their blood temperature to keep them safe from the deadly hot cosmic radiation and waves of hot plasma but except, one of the waves causes your ship to malfunction and all of the other cryogenic tanks fail to work and your tank is ejected and you crashland on the deserted planet you see your dead crewmate on the surface you recognize this mission and set to only one desire: to relocate habitable terms and discover civilization anew.
Pair this with the Spooky difficulty to make a true horror-sci fi gameplay experience!

How did Polar Bears and snow foxes die when they are adapted to these conditions? Also the snow golems and snowmen
@@OneGreenSeaTurtle well snow golems/snowmen dont spawn naturally. you have to make 2 blocks of snow towered, then put a pumpkin.
@@OneGreenSeaTurtle because their food sources are all gone, and therefore, they starve to death. Resorting to cannibalism isn't exactly a fullproof plan, as they will still die out eventually. Evolving to be able to survive off of the snow/dirt/whatever is left and nothing else is not exactly an option, as that takes generations and generations to evolve even a tiny bit. They don't have enough time for that.

World difficulty for me, i always wanted ever present endless tundra biome
Temperature in minecraft outside of biomes doesnt mean anything, unless you need Ice and Snow.
Now we just need to slow the freezing process so Hardcore and 1 life can be a thing

This reminds me a lot of the solar apocalypse mod (abandoned in 1.6.4 to my knowledge) which made the surface begin to burn over the course of a few days.
the first day is normal, and you have to run around and try to get water, mobs, wood, saplings, crops, etc because by the third day anything on the surface burns down, including grass blocks and the oceans evaporating, and all mobs get burnt to a crisp. even dropped items burn up.
(I'm sure the relation is just coincidence because it's a fun idea with a simple premise, but it's fun seeing history repeat itself)

This would be more of "If the earth got kicked out of the Solar System" because if the sun went supernova, the resulting blast wave would completely destroy most (if not all) of the inner solar system.
For reference, a supernova 25 light years away means that we're already in its "Kill Radius" where the planet would be irradiated beyond habitation. The Sun is 8 light MINUTES away from Earth. You figure it out from there.
Firstly powdersnow and secondly leather Armor makes that you freeze slower (it doesnt Matter that you Cant get it) and a warmth bottle which can be fueled Up (get warm) at a fireplace

fundy, to make the game more enjoyable for you, creating it, and for us, playing it, you could've added small little villages or reservation camps, consisting of villagers, little packs of animals, and small farms. it would aswell get tedious to always carry a campfire around so you could make some kind of armour in which makes you warm, for example: Leather armour, say you find a reservation camp with a blacksmith but all the blacksmith has is leather armour, you can wear said armour for a small fraction of the temperature bar, you could aswell craft the leather armour with other armour, such as: iron armour, leather armour plus iron armour equals Insulated Iron Armour, just a fun little side thing to do.

Gotta admit, this would be a fun hardcore world, and a suggestion, if you ever edit it, you should make it so you can stay slightly warming by wearing armor
And by being in shelter
Since strays drop bones, if you manage to kill a couple, you could bonemeal the ground to get more grass for seeds instead of solely relying on the few that spawn naturally
