Women are so much more beautiful when they're not covered head to toe and tattoos
Yes,and they are much better than today, with better bone structure and more femininity.
Agreed. Like, totally agree, dude. 😄👍
Don't forget the green and blue hair and nose rings that we see today. Ugh!
Absolutely true. What the heck has happened to the women?. Fat, tattooed, blue-haired angry frumps.

I absolutely believe that the key to world peace is more roller disco.
more roller disco less democracy...renovate all these old useless senate chambers into roller disco rinks.
I know I probably stand alone on this, but I believe the world lost a little of its soul when they canceled C.H.I.P.S.

Oh, to live in Venice Beach in the late 70’s and early 80’s.........couldn’t be any better.
It’s crazy to think these young people are grandparents on the verge of great grand parenthood!
Virtually everyone on skates and in the crowd is aged 20-30, Eric Estrada and the brunette he's chatting up (Kathrine Baumann) are both 75 this year... Plenty of Great Grandparents already, some on the verge of Great Great Grandparents at this point.
If they have any grandchildren those are at most in their 20s and probably delaying having kids or have no plans to have any kids. Kids are too expensive these days.

This was back when California was a place you’d wanna live. Not anymore.
I'm confused. The women don't have any tattoos or dumb piercings and they seem like they are happy and having fun. Where is this magical place?
It's in the TV.

Damn right
OK incel
@@aiai-j7i Help me understand this logic of yours. So by a guy finding natural looking women very attractive that makes him a incel? So what is your ideal standard by which men should view women? Should they not desire a wife, should they not find them visually attractive? What is this manly man definition of yours? I just don't get this push to tell me to ignore women. Is it the red pilled mgtow sorta movement telling guys to stay away from women? Where should they go then? Other men? no thanks. Weird to have guys trashing other guys for liking women, that is the most bizarre social media behavior and there are many bad ones out there.
Not a single tattoo in sight! 🤪
Yes, In the 70s there weren't that many people with personality disorders!^^

The dude in the jorts and tube socks is priceless
no phones, no helmets, no botox. simpler times indeed
No homeless people on the beach, no excrement or used needles! No one is fat either. Those were the days!
No smelly women with tattoo arm sleeves, nose piercings, and purple hair, who can't put together an original thought. Dancing wasn't twerking and we could tell jokes and not offend anyone.
You mean the actors they hired are all good looking and the set was cleaned up to look good on camera? Shocker. Almost like it was staged to look like that.
@@Nozoki true, but still, you couldn't make this scene now in Venice Beach. Now, there are homeless camps and drugged people roaming about, and a greater sense of crime, mayhem, and degeneracy than healthy, wholesome, and family friendly.
@janicep1508 You absolutely could still make this scene. They hire people to clean up the area they are filming in. They hire set designers. They hire security guards to keep people off set.
@@Nozoki California allows homeless camps. You can't just go in and remove people.
To think of all the bushes
Yum 🤤
The bushy palm trees you could say.
That's how I remember it! Without all of the homeless camps, passed out drug addicts and poop piles. The Venice/Playa Del Rey area used to be a beautiful place back before the 90's.
A few takeaways. This was a time when our streets were clean and safe; people were polite and the police were respected; women were classy and beautiful, and didn't have tattoos or hog rings in their noses; and California was a desirable place to live and raise a family. All is gone now.
Now, everybody is fat and they vote for Trump.
You’re joking right?
It was probably the end of the time you described. The glory days of living in California in my opinion would be the mid thirties to the mid sixties. After that, slow decline.
Well, of course the key difference was that tax rates for the top 1% were like 70%, not 15% like they are today. As a result, a middle class job was for life and could support a family. You'd be covered in tattoos and piercings too if you felt life would probably end at 50, you had no job security, and you felt you'd never be able to afford a middle class life.
None of that is true. If entertainment is any guide, try Taxi Driver, The French Connection, Baretta, or The Prince of the City. Police were being called "pigs" in the 60's and 70's.
Notice how everyone was in shape... what the hell happened?
Fat and lazy, depressed. I think I am the only slim one in my family of the adults.

Ah yes, I was probably 15-16 years old when this CHiPs show was released. Looking back, kids like me did not realize how good we had it. Of course there were problems with things like inflation, high interest rates, gas prices, etc. A big difference between then and now is back then people tended to have a more relaxed, almost carefree attitude. This is reflected in many TV shows of that era. Today, while many things have improved, people typically are much more serious. There are too few smiling faces.

Scary to say...I lived this in LA at the time. My friend's father owned a restaurant right there on the Boardwalk and we lived only a few miles down the way into Mar Vista. There was a place on the Boardwalk called "United Skates of America" and that's where we rented our skates. You'd go down to Muscle Beach, skate the strand, and watch these huge gatherings of people.
