RA Souls Grown Deep Like The Rivers: Black Artists from the American South

Raina Lampkins-Fielder Curator of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation talks us through the new exhibition ‘Souls Grown Deep Like The Rivers: Black Artists from the American South’
17th March - 18th June at the Royal Academy Of Arts.
The exhibition will showcase around 64 works by 34 artists from the mid-20th century to the present in various methods including sculptures, paintings, drawings and fascinating quilts.
The works are made from materials such as clay, driftwood, roots, soil, and recycled objects, most of which are being displayed for the first time in Europe.
