What an excellent presenter these tutorials have, truly, one of the best I've ever heard. Concise, to the point, yet very easily understandable - a real teacher.
Great tutorials, appreciate the pace and clarity! Got a question regard deselecting: if I already had some edges selected, how do I deselect part of those edges using select shortest path? I'm using RizomUV default shortcuts, it seems the Ctrl + Shift deselect shortcut doesn't work well with the Shift (shortest path preview).
@@RizomUV Humm...I couldn't get it to work, Ctrl + Shift + double LMB click only deselect all of the selected edges, maybe I missed something? I tried with different select mode (edge loop/shortest path) and the result was the same. The scenario is that I have selected some connected edges, but I only want to deselect part of them using the select shortest path feature. However, the Shift shortcut will interfere with deselect shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + LMB click). Ctrl + Shift + LMB drag works, but sometimes deselecting the shortest path is easier and faster than drag deselect.
Is there a way to select an object when after cutting seems, cause I have multiples objects and I can find a way to select them without selecting everything
just started my trial and imported a model to follow along, what I'm noticing is when i try to select an edge its not selecting where my arrow is, or if i drag a rectangle it starts away from my arrow not sure why.
@@RizomUV HI and thanks for the reply. I clicked the transform button on the left under the select tool. it says the shortcut is F5. I see a lot of your stuff, but not the magic wand. Am I still missing anything? Thanks for your support!!
@@Karimozoro I thought you wanted Align Straighten Flip? In any case, you can find the magic wand under the select tool attributes (you need to be in polygon mode too)
Virtual Space = For models that will end up in a "Virtual Space" (think game engines, rendering) Real Space = For UV that will be brought into the real world (laser cutting guides, printing)
I really regret not buying RizomUV sooner. 😭It's awesome and makes UVing so much less tedious. Great job on the tutorials, too!
Awesome to hear!
找了两天,这是我看过最好,最贴心,最详细的教程了。小姐姐的声音好甜呐。
Lady? 😅
WTF,复制粘贴的吧?

That's great to hear! Thank you!
john dickinson... looking to get some topology wisdom from him now!
Clear and concise just what the doctor ordered. Many thanks. Can we have one on auto seams panel?
Nice tutorial, John. Rizom is such a cool piece of software, just renewed for another year today.
Great to hear, thank you!
Wow! this program is awesome!
Great tutorial - thanks mate!
Very nice tutorial, thank you very much!

Ctrl+Shift+ Double left mouse click.
Or drag deselect.

I see, thanks!

We start with stop was good one 😂

In island mode, hover your cursor over the island and double click middle mouse button.

align straighten flip fit
I can't find this stuff. is it not easy to find in the newer version?
Press the transform tool button, they will be displayed on the right.

I don't get that ctrl+shift function for live previewing edges selection. What is the shortcut, please?
EDIT: just figured it out, it's solely shift.
It depends on which control layout you are using, if you look at the bottom right of the UI, it shows a shortcut guide based on your control setup.
@@RizomUV Thank you!
My loop selection always stops at selections no matter what i set. How do I fix that?
On the right side of the UI, under the "Edge Loop" section, uncheck "Stop at Selection"
i got it. I had to uncheck and check it again. Dont know why. Btw is there also a option to gave loop selections not stop at cuts? @@RizomUV
@@LeftCG - No there isn't, because at a cut you are reaching the boundary of an island.
could that be a future feature 👀 @@RizomUV
@@LeftCG Not anytime soon.
What’s the difference between virtual and real space. I use maya
Virtual Space = For models that will end up in a "Virtual Space" (think game engines, rendering)
Real Space = For UV that will be brought into the real world (laser cutting guides, printing)
