You definitely should do a reaction/review for every episode. It's just got better and better both in terms of writing and creative choices.
Would love to see you go into the whole series, as compelling as the dialogue is, and the cinematography visually stunning. They continue to play with the two together, and how they interact. What you see and what you hear/read in the dialogue is often opposed or at odds, and is a core theme throughout.
Would love if you made a full review once you finish the series and give insights into what your favourite cinematography moments were and their correlation to hitting important story beats.
You should do some more of these! I would love to see your analysis of some later episodes
To be honest, I was only planning on covering the pilot episode as it's the biggest draw. The rest, I want to experience for myself plus, editing these is either ridiculous hard or expensive to get over the copyright gods. This was about 6 -8 uploads later until it went green.

My mom used to love the original Shogun tv show from the 80's with Richard Chamberlain playing Blackthorne, and she taught me to love it as well, wich is why i am a bit reluctant to watch this remake, since it might not live up to the one i love, one thing i really loved about the original, aside from the actors, was the music, 1980's Shogun had an amazing theme song and wonderful japanese traditional music mixed with modern western sounds.
That being said, i just finished the new Fallout season 1 on Prime, and omg you should really put that on your list, because you would have a field day watching and analyzing that :D

It's based on a book from 1975 by a British writer. I read it last year and it's amazing. The book is also 90% based on real Japanese history with changed names. Show is great

thought I was the only one that preferred subtitles, voice is an important aspect of a performance and the original actor's voice tends to synergise better with the whole production imo
The original meaning of "shogun" was "Commander in Chief of the Northeast Tribal Punitive Army".
The Shogun was the supreme commander of the military (Samurai) to whom the Emperor had delegated full authority, and once military action began he wielded absolute authority. The Shogun was a special official position that allowed the Emperor to exercise his power on the battlefield, and was entrusted with the privileges of conscription, collection of military supplies, and the right to award rewards.
Samurai were not military. Samurai is a gentry class. The men of those class are samurai and the women are also samurai. Just we in the West hear Samurai and think of the men of those class as fighters. Much like the knights of the West in Medievil times

As the shogunate, which served the emperor through military force, came to be called buke (military aristocracy, samurai aristocracy), in contrast, the court aristocracy in general, who served the emperor through ceremonies and civil rule, came to be called kuge (court aristocracy).
@@arahard25017 Yes, but those gentry class did not die. The majority of the Japanese parliament to this day are from the Samurai class of familes. Am I right or wrong?The Samurai didn't go away, they just became the rulers of Japan in the government and in the courts

Damn it Kai, every video..."If I was the director I'd have frothed in my pants". For a man who's all about the visuals, you come up with some...uh, clear imagery yourself. I remember the inspiring, terrifying warcry of the ODST soldier..."Have that on yer head you ****!". Like Leonidas himself 😂.
Definitely need to see you react to some more out there or even anime stuff, the Honkai Star Rail trailers, especially the more recent ones have been nuts, like Sparkle or Acherons trailers 👀

I don't know if you already watched the Daredevil show, but I would really love to see an analysis, even if it's only for the first episode, because I love to see when you give very good insides about all the camera work, cinematography, lightining, etc... but ngl i love it when you "react" to a scene/dialogue or something that cracks you up xD

@@kaizammit the Ingame Cinematics got some wariations to them Depending on what Armor the player has on them at the time they are player have on at the time.
its not to hard to find a '' Full Cinematic Movie '' of Nioh 1 and 2 but there will probably have some Different armor cause of the nature of wanting to get better Armor and stuffs ^^'

The fact that I remember the story of the book to an extent after reading it something like 15 years ago and having read a couple hundred books after that should say a lot.
But its been to long for me to really compare them without reading the boók again.
