The irony of people who complain about military expenditure are the exact same people that want the US increase its welfare state expenditure which is currently at about $2.5 trillion per year.
Younger viewers might not remember, this actually happened in the Iraq war during the "road of death" incident - but on a much, much larger scale. Thousands of civilian and military vehicles wiped out along miles of road, leaving a twisted, smoking trail of twisted metal and bodies along 50km of desert freeway.
it was/is the highway of death, not road ^^ It was a 3 mile long part of a highway which got bombed two days straight and not just by AC-130s. It was after a hit (rocket or something) in a camp killed 60 us soldiers. They were pissed and they wanted to stop them from retrieting. :D
That was Operation Desert Storm. And the convoy was Saddam's troops fleeing Kuwait City to the North, trying to get back to Iraq. They were in stolen vehicles, APC's, Tanks, trucks, etc.

On real ACs computers calculate the lead needed for a hit. They make short work of this situation. They would also take out any anti-aircraft weapons/radars before cleaning up the trucks.

Hit at the centre you disperse the ambushed convoy. It is not wise. Hit it from the front towards the end.. One vehicle after another, you will not scatter the trapped convoy because all vehicles are facing the front.
Correct. Kill the head of the snake....then the tail. Then mop up the body like lighting a fuse. The convoy is landlocked due to immobilized vehicles blocking escape.

This was pretty badass, fellas. And though I'm sure AC-130s can do it however they want, we always trained to hit the lead and the trail vic then unload into the chewy center. But hey, tomato/tomahto.
Look at the guy on the left side of the screen, in the beginning. Some guy comes running up to him in his vehicle, and then he’s trying to get the hell out of there, and runs right into a tree, square on center. And, hits it twice. WOW…
It's Arma 3, the only way a player gets good at something is exposure to the role and training. just giving them aptitude tests for a role doesn't do shit but bar them from having fun.
