I thought that the air force reengined all of their '135's withe the CFM F108-CF-100 engine, until I saw the NC-135W is still powered by the older TF33 engines.
4:29 that bird has seen better days for sure, paint is super chipped. Is that normal? Is the SoCal sun the biggest factor as to why it looks like that?

Yeah, the NC-135 is the last TF33 powered -135 airframe in the USAF. Chile has a few KC-135Es still in service though.

I’m not too sure because several of March’s C-17s look like that. Maybe a bad patch of paint at PDM?
