Love your reactions. I was blessed to be around for Tori’s emergence & have seen every tour. She has saved me so many times with lyric, music, performance. Glad you found her too!!!
Once again, feeling the Tori. Good on you! I often wonder what this strange thing is, i.e. someone reacting to a song and we basically reacting to them. But in cases like yours I am grateful to see, as opposed to the current world we live in, someone who is not just "mass consuming" music like a Swiftie, but is still able to feel his way through such a tremendously compact and unique musical composition. We celebrate many artists from different´musical directions, but when it comes to musicality, emotionality, storytelling, pure genius and immense talent people like Tori Amos are few and far between. But now you should reward yourself with a no less special but lighter tune like "Hey, Jupiter" (ua-cam.com/video/LW0PtZkIaP4/v-deo.html) or "China" (ua-cam.com/video/pVRJgoUsej0/v-deo.html). All the best.
Thanks so much for watching and the kind words! Appreciate that. Tori Amos is truly a special artist and human being. Very complex and multilayered lyrics and compositions. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks for the recommendations!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS VERSION!!! She was in a different mind set. Something was going thru her mind...she sang how she was feeling! She's an artist. FANTASTIC! Her voice is Incredible. Roller coaster of emotions! Great reaction!
This song (not this particular version) is the song that hooked me on Tori back in 1996. Just Tori at the piano playing this song is magic. This is one of those songs that got reworked quite a bit over the years, and the "I've crawled my way back" portion of this version is... heartbreaking and empowering at the same time. You can just feel how much pain and fight it took for her to get where she is.. going from lying on the floor crawling through broken glass and then getting up and never looking back. As someone who has personally suffered quite a a bit of trauma, it's inspiring to hear and watch the fight in her face and voice as the message of "never again, no more, I am not broken, I am not your victim anymore, and I never will be again" It's such an important messages, and we should all hear it.
This entire concert is full of my favorite live performances of her songs. UA-cam has the uncensored version which is amazing. Professional Widow, Hey, Jupiter, and so many more.
I was at that show, it was amazing! She sang tombigbee twice since they wanted a better recording, Ive seen her so many times I cant count, definitely more than 30, but that was one of my favorite shows of all.
Sugar Live is another song that was performed drastically differently with the band, to spectacular effect. Matt Chamberlain really shines, as does Jon Evans. Tori only works with the best.
You should check out the original music video for this, this live performance is so different from the original. It's still amazing but I prefer the original. Tori is always super creative and it doesn't surprise me she's mixed stuff up so much.
Classic Tori! Yay! As others have mentioned, the studio version of this song is much different, and I think you’d like the production. This version is so great but it kind of drags on for me lol
This is a great version, but very different from the album version. I would LOVE to see you react to the original and then the live version of Bells for Her from this concert. Thank you for all of the Tori content!!!
This song means so much to me, when it first came out it hit me hard, I was raised with a parent who was very self decpricating, nothing was good enough, in their eyes, it took me a lot of work not to fall into that cycle, this song was the perfect boost when I needed it. didn't mean to go on so long, my personal journey, Thank-you for letting me share with you. Take care, best to you and your family.
That was really interesting! In a good way!!! But bizarre. This is the track that opens her debut album "Little Earthquakes". It was our introduction to Tori Amos. And it has virtually zero resemblance to this version. I strongly urge you to listen to that album, for your own enjoyment. After watching dozens of your videos, we have remarkably similar tastes in music. And that's why I think you'll fall in love with "Little Earthquakes". That album marks an important time for me personally, and because it was so all-consuming in the moment, I think everyone must know it. And then I think, O.M.G.! That was over 30 years ago.
Now i definitely want to hear the studio version. Thanks for watching and taking the time to write this comment. Will check out this album. Have a great day!
You should really check out the show she did live in Montreux in 1992, it's iconic. it's almost an hour so I understand if you can't react to the whole thing, but at the very least you should react to the last 2 songs, 'Me and a Gun' and 'Winter'. One of the most amazing performances you will ever see. It was among some of her first shows after her first album came out. It'll blow your mind.

Incredible artist! Thanks so much for watching.
This whole concert is incredible. I was there ❤
Wow! Thats awesome!
Little Earthquake was the album of my students years and I still love it.
Definitely want to check out more songs on this album
I so prefer this live version than the recorded version, this is just on such another level her vocal is just so incredible 😎👌
I find this version far superior to the studio cut.

The way she performs is so captivating. Incredible.
Tori is a unique voice in every way.

Great song! Definitely will check out the original too.
I feel ya! I relate to that part as well.
The I've crawled my way back part is just devastating. Singing it is really cathartic. Sad but still empowering. ❤

And yet another classic!
So good!
Please check out the live version of Winter by Tori. So fire!
That was actually my first reaction to Tori about a month ago.
More Tori, love it! Love this song but as others said very different from studio version which is equally as awesome. ❤
Definitely need to hear the studio version as well. Great song.
Tori Amos is fire!!!❤ this version of this song is so fire! She does no wrong
Incredible performance! Thanks for watching.

I like her when she’s been on Jools Holland. Those live performances are amazing if you want to take a look.
Will add them to my list. Hope to check out many more. Thanks for watching.

I agree…. The recorded version from Little Earthquakes is one of her best!
Will add it to my list. Thanks. Looking forward to hear the difference.
I agree. Please do the video for the studio version!

Have a great day!
The addition of the "I have crawled my way back" section is worth the drastic change from the original composition. It brings a tear every time.
Definitely need to hear the original too. This was amazing

Also the 1996 Lifetime RAINN fundraiser concert. It shows her evolution and her greater artistic freedom compared with the 92 Montreux performance.
"Me and a Gun" is brutal but so good. Her live performance from that concert is amazing, for sure!
He has already reacted to Winter from Montreux
