Thank you very much. I had refilled toner catridge in dcp l2531dw (TN-2465) still the machine displayed toner low message. After resetting gear as you demonstrated in the video, the machine no longer displayed toner low message. I have spent about 2 hrs searching for how-to info on web and your video was the only one which resolved toner low issue. Thanks a lot. :)

Keep in mind there is a difference in positioning on an OEM original cartridge and on a compatible (non OEM cartridge) !. Flag gear on side plate is the same, but there is a difference in the opposite gear situated on the hopper. There are cartridges with the opposite positioning of the gear that stands next to hopper cap. will it work for TN 2465????? I Have refilled my cartridge.............. but still it is showing empty

does it matter what the toner powder is?
Sure. I should use only a toner powder for refilling suitable for this model. Or use some universal Brother toner powder, in which compatibility list TN2421/ TN2411 is listed.

@@suneelupadhyay7375 We are using a dedicated toner for this model Brohter TN2421. It is different toner than any other brother toners. Check some local supplier at your country.

No es necesario cambiar el chip. Solo deja el viejo chip. No cuenta copias, solo sirve para identificar el cartucho. Perdón por la traducción, mi español no es muy bien...

Install toner in printer and check status
Try again. This is the correct procedure. Try installing the toner cartridge in a powered off printer. Install. Then power on.
