Thank you for the video. It worked, though when I was checking the Cartridge for leaks without inserting the shaft and gear, the toner powder started to drip off the hole where the shaft and gear are placed. So, I had to insert the shaft/gear and then everything went smoothly. For those who also use starting cartridge and hl-l2395dw. In order to remove the replace toner message, open the Cover (where the cartridge is placed), press X, then wrench/screwdriver, all settings, general setups, scroll down to "replace toner", select "continue" instead of "stop". Hope it helps.

I'd feel better off selling off the empty cartridge and getting a new replacement one that is full. I know that means $$$ but I don't want to risk the refileld cartridge exploding and contaminating my printer.
I think BROTHER hired him to make this video so people don't bother doing this and just go buy the damn toner LOLOL which i will be doing. i dont have an air compressor nor the time to do this. i thought it was gonna be a lot easier. I found new toner for $11 on amazon ill test that out first. It's good for people who have the time to do this or may even enjoy doing diy stuff like this.
You left out a step in the re-asssembly in this video. After the roller is reinserted and BEFORE the c-ring is popped in, there is an important piece that needs to be put in, that the c-ring holds in.
Why are there so few sellers of toner powder to refill these cartridges? Is it the 3rd party market for cartridges are cheap enough not to go through the refill process vs the raw cost of toner?

I'm using this video and your other video, 'colour toner in black laser printer' as a reference for something I want to try. I want to empty a cartridge and fill it with white coloured toner from Aliexpress. However, they don't list my printer/cartridge model as 'compatible'. Do you think If i use a brand new drum+cartridge (clean of black toner) it will still be fine?
Let's say I don't have the starter cartridge anymore, will it work if I don't replace the chip with the chip that comes with the starter cartridge ? Is there another way to make it work ?

@@Nicolasgtix 90 grams of toner. It's useless to put too much toner, you'll have the error message after a numbber of copies, not important how much toner is left into the cartridge
can not use the menu button, can not get past the replaced tone cart message, nothing else is allowed, so how do you get to the ignore cart when menu is not selectable with error message??
Where it says "remember the starter cartridge has no reset gear." can you still use the starter cartridge as seen at 05:04 or do you have to get a replacement for that end of the cartridge that has a reset gear?

One more question please, when air blowing the cartridge to get any remaining old toner off, do you have to blow the air into the fill hole to get any excess toner out of there or will tapping the cartridge into a plastic bag be enough before refilling the fill hole with new toner?
@@simonbpuk2949 It would ne better to blow the cartridge. Tapping the cartridge should work but there is the risk of grey background on the page if too much toner remains into the cartridge

Start cartridge has ho chip. Remove the old chip and reistall it only if you are installing a new cartridge without chip. If not, let the old chip

Sure, a toner vacuum cleaner is perfect. A normal vacuum could not become a problem, often their filters cannot hold the tiny toner particles

If you set the gear in the right position the error message should disappears when you insert the cartridge
The refill cap broke and then got lost inside the unit. After I filled it with toner I had to throw everything out.
Pour the toner in a bottle and remove the cap with pliers. Glue it if necessary

How come you have to replace the chip on the cartridge and with what? Why can't you reset the cartridge with existing chip?
If not present in the new cartridge you have to use the chip of the old cartridge
