I always found this funny. I knew this girl for two years, meeting her in 2016. It was around Matthew hit and she was around whenever we were going through it. Her and I started dating February 2017. Lasted until September when Irma hit. She was an unfaithful one, putting me through too much to even bare. We don't speak anymore and I find it funny how the year we don't speak, no hurricane hits me. I'm in Florida, and Michael went right on our side so we weren't affected at all. It was like some sort of sign. Completely irrelevant but I felt like sharing.
I live in Panama city, and when Florence happend I was worried because I had relatives living in North Carolina. Little did I know I would have to worry about something else in a couple months
Wow, it’s such interesting to see the dynamics of our atmosphere during hurricane season. Actually one can see one or two storms of the eastern pacific. Would be great you could make a video similar to this of that region.
mallarina This is IR satellite and some edits to make it look smoother If you look at the USA, you can see it get brighter during the day and dimmer during the night.
For thr third concecutive year, the "M"named storm was the strongest, Matthew (2016), Maria (2017), and Michael (2018), Michael will also be the third straight "M" name to be retired
Long jhon Silver Yes, Wikipedia mentioned Maria as the stronest storm, but I found out Irma's wind speed. was slightly stronger than Maria Irma peak 180 Maria peak 176
My biggest takeaway was the never ending chilly upper level-lows and troughs over the East Coast, especially the Northeast right into August. Normally the "spring" weather pattern of cut-off lows and troughs breaks up by early July at the latest.
The western extent of the Bermuda High was almost non-existent the whole summer. Looks like the Azores-Bermuda High was located more towards the Azores.
4:49 Hurricane Florence forms. 5:27 Hurricane Florence hits Carolina. 5:43 Hurricane Florence dies. Actually Carolina are 2 states North Carolina and South Carolina.
South of about 30 degrees latitude, winds generally blow east to west. North of that, winds blow from west to east. The direction of the wind explains much of our weather. For example, California has such a stable, moderate climate because the wind is always blowing in from over the ocean, whereas the east coast gets the hot and cold air from the continent.
I though here in New Jersey we were going to get hit, we did not, YAY 6TH YEAR IN A ROW WITH OUT A BAD HURRICANE! Let’s hope 2019 is good because the Jersey shore is still marked up by Sandy 6 years ago, and that was bad! But Florence and Micheal Where really bad and will be retired!
8:17 if you look in the pacific that hurricane looked like it got its soul stripped away but it’s spirit remained

4:49 Florence, the 2nd notable storm
6:50 Michael, the most notable storm of the 2018 season.
It depends on where you live. I live in North Carolina, so Florence is more notable than Michael to me.
I live in Panama city, and when Florence happend I was worried because I had relatives living in North Carolina. Little did I know I would have to worry about something else in a couple months
Leslie lasted for a while lmao.
She was just checkin the other hurricanes :D
That pulsing clouds everyday on the left of the screen. Wow.

For Florence
1.Freda
2.Francesca
3.Feliz
4.Fillimoria
5.Ferdanilia

The replacement names for Florence and Michael were Francine and Milton, respectively.
If Milton hits Milton, that's gonna be a coincidence

I want to see West Pacific. It's a non stop typhoon machine. This year was especially crazy. Not just the amount but the tracks
6:42 Leslie stop doing that ur not hurricane sandy
Kingboss7629 YT it was like hurricane sandy except it wasn’t impacting the east coast
Did anybody notice that in 2008 there were 4 storms active at the same time. 10 Years later, and in 2018 there were 4 storms active at the same time!!
This might be a dumb question, but how is the whole season in daylight? Is it just the IR satellite images made to appear like the visible satellite?

Fascinating, captain. (read that in Spock's voice)
You only showed Atlantic hurricanes when the Pacific was the most active this year
If you look closely at Mexico you will sometimes see a hurricane

The Great Lakes and East Coast had one cut-off low after another.
check out all that moisture on the east coast this year!
