I still don’t understand why he calls us consumers..?
He's just a vehicle for Pax at this point. They don't have their own PR so they rely on him and their "Friends & Family" testers to do that work for them.
Given the information we have, that is a very reasonable guess for the EA date. Me and my friends had a TON of fun in the latest Alpha, but I just hope they have made some pretty serious improvements to some things before releasing it into the wild. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I do look forward to getting into the game again!
If you look at the "changes" between the first test and the second, I wouldn't get your hopes up.
If they push this out in the next month or so I wouldn't expect any meaningful improvements. I hope I'm wrong but I haven't been impressed with their updates thus far.

Unfortunately I think I will be closer to the end of June, on 25/05 the devs said in relation to EA "We don’t want to promise anything too far in advance, just in case something happens in the meantime." so I think it's unlikely to be early June given that's only a few days away.
I know it will be early access, but I think they are going to release definitely before June 20, because Shadow of the Erd Tree is going to drop on June 21 and I am sure that they are going to want to get as big a player base as they can and not have to compete with that! Thats just my guess! ✌

I enjoyed the alpha and can not wait. I loved the atmosphere. But in my opinion the game still needs a lot of work and I think the current state of actual game systems is pretty underwhelming. They spend a lot of time in graphical fidelity with UE5 (which is partially really impressive even for UE5) while it even the most basic stuff is still pretty bare bone.
Still I would love to see an early access release soon (not sure if steam is a good idea here with the current state) and pay to support the devs for this "Valheim MMO". But I think they really should consider a "Star Citizen" approach and sell it that way. Like having regular resets for major updates (e.g. all 1-3 months). People are expecting so much from EA today that it could really hurt the developement.
Hey Eltari, since you played the alpha, can you please confirm that player collision is in the game when both players have a drawn weapon outside the pvp areas?

Can't come soon enough!!! Been waiting every single day since the first Pax Dei announcement. I know there's a lot of potential for improvement, especially for combat, but let us settle into the world, build our dream house and live our virtual dream lives while we wait for updates.

No idea on cost but there should be no sub during EA only after release!

The Pagan festival of Midsommer is in June. I still predict it will coincide with the significant holiday
With the current combat (Alpha 2) the Early Access won't hold anyone's interest for more than 2-4 weeks imo. Even if you're just into building stuff.
Then you have no idea how long people stay into “just building stuff”. Its years. Maybe even decades.

I played Alpha 2 for 100 hours. The first thing I did was join the guild next door. I didn't have the issues so many solos complained about, and loved every minute of it.
Imo Pax Dei combat is most similar to Mortal Online 2, a full-time full-loot low-phantasy guild-oriented PvP and crafting MMO whose combat is still awkward. Pax Dei combat is even worse than MO2's was when it went into Early Access two and a half years ago.
I'm eagerly awaiting Pax Dei EA and will play it a lot, probably long-term. But I'd prefer them to just give everyone a nerf foam bat for a year while they completely rewrite PvP combat, and then let us give feedback while they rewrite it again.
But if the combat gonnna be the same its not gonna be good
Then wait for the full game to release :) In the mean time, let others play it and test it (some players might not even play the game for the combat, myself included). Those who want to play the game in it's current state can also continue giving feedback to the developers
@@jrgenpetterson1562 so you not gonna go and do PVP or Kill NPCs ?. But how long its gonna take them to fix this :).. thats like something i am afraid.
@@fatjay9402 Nope! :p Of course I hope they'll work out the combat system, but I'm more invested in the building system. Not to mention experimentations with a good outfit system, which Pax Dei seem to provide. I suspect it's gonna take a while to fix the combat, I mean they cannot even compete with Valheim in that department, so yeah, might as well release early access now before other upcoming games catches up

Meteorological Spring ends May 31st but Astrological Spring ends June 21st.

June 18th is the safe bet but if they were aiming for that I feel like they would announce the date? They seem very sure they will make the June 20th deadline.
I'm wondering if perhaps they are aiming for June 11th (or maybe even earlier) but are holding off on announcing the date till they know they can deliver, and June 18th is the backup date.
Pax Dei sucked tbh.
So, just pure speculation and no real expectation. This doesn't surprise me, and shouldn't surprise anyone. Don't look at the calendar. Better off with a dart board in the dark. Enjoy your holiday and forget this crystal ball stuff just to make a pointless video.
