this is true but just like with anything else - from nose jobs to skin bleaching to crash dieting - people SHOULD at least reflect on why they want to change themselves and be honest with themselves about why they're doing it! the denial & blind positivity doesn't help anyone (or help with progress. in the recent past, people, especially queer people &/or women, being honest or not changing their features is something we've all befitted from. that's how standards change. i highly recommend that people get in to queer history to learn more💕)

It's all as simple as IF you've got disposable income, do whatever the heck you want with it. Transparency and all provides for great content as a bonus. Why are we all concerned by other people and their decision to morph their bodies? Even the tiniest of piercing is the start to 'body modification'. We all just need to chill...
One reason why we could be concerned is because he is an influencer literally influencing many VERY insecure people. And if they look like his previous nose then it could mean they hate it now. Its okay tho... I understand that also Stan is someone who has insecurities and feels the pressure of society beauty standards.... I wish everyone would not feel any pressure about their appearance.
@@SoundOfaSoul i agree with you, i think vanity kills us. he looked fine before, his choice though. he wouldnt even think about a nose job if he didnt have the disposable money, hes literally beauty standards

You always let us know if you get any major changes done and always let us know that yoyr decision is just that, tour decision. We are all beautiful but we can't really dictate what others do with their bodies and I love that you hammer that message in. was literally having a whole discussion with myself about a nose job and how it feels like i have no pictures of myself cause i just hate seeing my nose so much and it ruins everything 🙁 so this has been really motivating!! thank you for being so transparent
As someone who regrets their nose job pls pls try to learn how to love yourself first. I know it’s hard especially in our society but it’s always better to love your natural features. Plastic surgery always has a risk and it can lead into a rabbit hole. Just think about it very carefully🙏🏻
@@winx1388 I’m not necessarily botched. The surgeon just didn’t do a good job😔. A very average nose for a lot of money I gave. Even though I don’t look fake or anything to others eyes, I still don’t like what I see in the mirror. I would’ve preferred to not rush into it. If you can live with your natural nose please do. If you will get surgery no matter what anyone says, make sure you do extensive research and make sure the surgeon is a rhinoplasty specialist and go over everything with him (including how you want your nose to look, show him examples). However, I will say again, I really recommend to not get any surgery. Once you do it, you can never go back.
Hello I wanna have plastic surgery too. Can I ask some questions A.) how many times did you have a needle stuck in you B.) was it painful. C.) how was the stents/ stitches removal Thanks.😊
Omg staaannn the final part of the video! I hope everything went well ❤ your body ad your life = your decisions! We love you and thanks for uploading every week even after all you went through!!
Just a little criticism i have that i feel is not talked about enough Firstly, i love your videos, and this is by no means an attack on you getting plastic surgery. Exactly as you said, your body, your choice, i also fully believe in this and doing what's best for you. I feel like taking a plastic surgery sponsorship and making a video about the process a little irresponsible tho. I feel like just saying you're not influencing people to get surgery is a little negligent and tone def. At the end of the day, whether you want to or not, the things you show in a video and promote are going to influence people and just simply saying you don't want it too is very wilfully ignorant towards the influence you posess. And i know you said you reached out first, but that company wouldn't be sponsoring if they didn't want more people to come get plastic surgery, hence why i think its a little hypocritical. Videos of people you admire will inherently have influence on an audience and their decisions and thinking. Maybe someone has also been thinking about getting surgery and sees this video- they may not have enough money and feel unworthy or more insecure, or get surgery at a different place and not have the same luxuries provided by your clinic (because it was a sponsor, or maybe not) or even worst, get botched. As plastic surgery is still a surgery, it has a lot of risks that i felt were not meantioned. There is no warning for possibilities of failure that normal advertising is legally told to have because it makes people consider the cons as well as the positives. I just feel like influencers showing plastic surgery in this way is inherently influential to an audience, especially impressionable ones. I just want to be clear this isn't an issue with the surgery and im glad you are trying to combat unrealistic beauty standards by being upfront, but my issue is simply making a video and taking a sponsorship. If you had gone on your own accord, there was no video, no sponsor, and just said what you did and why i would have zero issue. I'm also a fan of mikan and was disappointed when she did the same thing, claiming this was not influencing people. Sadly, we don't get to pick and choose those things, hence why i think it's important to consider. Anyways, i hope all went well with your recovery, and I'm looking forward to future videos. I don't know if you'll ever see this comment, but i tried ig 🤷♂️
Hi. This is obviously not Stan answering, but I wanted to say my opinion just like u did (no ill intentions btw). To make it short, he’s a youtuber. A big part of his job is taking sponsorships, so that’s just logic imo. And ofc he could influence a certain audience, but it’s not up to him to take responsibility if what he does affects someone. Now if he hadn’t made a clear statement on why he’s doing it, and making it clear that it’s NOT to keep up with a beauty standard, just then, he would have to take responsibility. If we took the time to complain and get upset abt social media figures changing their image for any reason, then we would be a bit miserable worrying abt how they could influence others. Sadly, it’s not up to us, the viewers decide what they’re gonna get influenced by. Stan did his part by giving a responsible speech and his reason for taking this decision. So yeah, hope I made sense (this is not my native language lol)
I remember when you got jaw surgery I was so surprised cause prior to surgery I thought you were so attractive already. Then after you listed why you got jaw surgery I started to understand more about the it benefit your health plus how it was sort of a complex for you. Your new jaw also grew on me after a while and now I think you made a really great decision getting that done. So I’m kinda excited to see how your nose heals in the next year.
I’m sorry Stan, but this was the video that just confirmed my thought that I’m ready to move on, and your content is not aligned with my worldview and ideas anymore. I’ve been following you since a long time ago, probably since when I was just starting my career (and I’ve been graduated for a whole year now 💀), but your latest videos didn’t resonate with me as much as before. As someone who struggles with my own image and selfsteem, your videos used to make me feel better about myself, more confident about my own skin… but lately that is not the case. But everyone is different, and we all can live in our own unique way, and that much I learned it for you ❤️🩹. Thank you for, probably inadvertently, helped me through one of the most challenging moments of my life, and good luck with all of your projects. Tysm, Stan!
@@Poppom99862 It’s not like I’m gonna go get a nose job just because one influencer did it. But the message he gives to the world is changed. When I watched his previous videos, he encouraged his viewers to love themselves, to acknowledge the bad things, and so on. I’m a psych major, I know this things very well, but still, having someone you admire cheering you up and being positive is really helpful. Now with this kind of content, it’s inevitable to start wondering: “maybe my nose is awful after all, he changed his because he didn’t like it. I don’t like mine either, but I can’t afford that surgery. But my nose is awful for sure, I hate this”. I’ve struggled a lot with my own image my whole life, and now I just choose to follow people who inspire me to not hate myself for the way I was born, and rather acknowledge myself, and be kind to my own person.
