Hello Fil! I'm glad you're reacting to Dimash again! It is a special pleasure for me that this recording was made at the Liszt Academy in my country, Budapest. Dimash came to Budapest at the invitation of Placido Domingo (an opera legend, part of the 3 tenors: -Luciano Pavarotti, Hosé Carreras, Plácido Domingo) to be one of the jury members of the finals of the classical music talent competition called Virtuosos (of which Domingo is the main patron). This show (including the footage we just saw) will be broadcast on television in 5 countries on 01.01.19 and now on January 26 (Dimash will continue to perform with the rest of the jury, we don't know exactly what yet, but we are looking forward to it)

Placido Domingo asked him to do this duet after hearing from his grandson how magnificent Dimash was.They both are judges in a tv contest for young musicians called Virtuosos,in Budapest (where I'll be watching him live,at last).Placido is 83 and is a living opera legend and knows where talent is.This meant a lot for Dimash,he was very happy.Now many more people know what we Dears knew long ago...that he is The Voice of this century hands down.Thank you for your heartfelt reaction...I was waiting for it 😃

Фил, реакция супер❤❤❤. Димаш с 5 лет мечтал о встретитьсч с Доминго. Мало времени было на подготовку у Димаша, ведь он не практикует чистую оперу. Так что микст Димаша и опера мэтра прозвучали великолепно. Спел как всегда достойно❤❤❤

Dimash es cantante lirico realizo su carrera en la Universidad de las Artes de Astana por supuesto estudio actuación y después siguió con música contemporánea .Dimash esta en este prestigioso Certamen por que un profesor de la mas alta calidad al igual que fue jurado en China en canto lirico y también tiene el premio a La Mejor Voz Lirica en Rusia. Dimash canta opera al mas alto nivel con los grandes interpretes lo que sucede que si no pasa en occidente muchos creen que no vale.

Так же как и изменение тембра. Димаш это прекрасно понимает и не стремился петь оперу- это был микст. Он же мечтал о дуэте и дуэт состоялся. И всё же это было красиво❤❤❤

The maestro Placido Domingo is one of the most important opera singers af all times. A living legeng. Next to Luciano Pavarotti and José Carreras they were The Three Tenors, and Dimash used to listen to them since he was a little child. So as he said, his dream came true when he did this magnificent duet with Placido Domingo.
And i think that the dream came true also for us, who have the opportunity to appreciate and admire the greatness and mastery of these legends from different generations singing together.

Everytime I watch this, I can’t help thinking how thrilled Dimash must be to have another dream come true. His parents and Grandmother must be bursting with pride. He’s like my Grandson and I’m so proud and happy for him. Watching him since 2017 has been like watching one of my own grandkids accomplish the things they’ve dreamt about since childhood. I love this beautiful young man. He brings smiles to everyday of my life. I’m 78 and blessed to be alive to see this gift from God. Bev

Plácido Domingo is a great tenor of modern opera, one of the greatest singers in opera history. He turned 83 the other day, and how amazing he sounds! Maestro Domingo and Dimash were invited to join the jury of the young talent competition. The jury also included cellist Hauser and other wonderful artists.
Meeting Dimash, the maestro expressed his admiration for the talent of the Kazakh prince, whom he met in absentia through his grandson, a big fan of Dimash. In response, Dimash told the maestro that he first heard the recordings of Placido Domingo in the very initial period of his training in classical singing and this became a powerful incentive in the life and musical growth of the young singer. Hello Fil! I'm glad you're reacting to Dimash again! It is a special pleasure for me that this recording was made at the Liszt Academy in my country, Budapest. Dimash came to Budapest at the invitation of Placido Domingo (an opera legend, part of the 3 tenors: -Luciano Pavarotti, Hosé Carreras, Plácido Domingo) to be one of the jury members of the finals of the classical music talent competition called Virtuosos (of which Domingo is the main patron). This show (including the footage we just saw) will be broadcast on television in 5 countries on 01.01.19 and now on January 26 (Dimash will continue to perform with the rest of the jury, we don't know exactly what yet, but we are looking forward to it)

You're right, looking at different reactors I was surprised that in the USA many of them (who make a living commenting on music) have no idea who Plácido Domingo is, nor do they know how to pronounce his name. Not so in Argentina with its famous Teatro Colón visited by the Great Tenors and other important figures with an audience that loves classical music, the same in Latin America, Europe which was its birthplace, and Asia where it is loved and respected.
