Can the same procedure be done on a BMW F20?

QQ on an F33: I've done a complete install from ID4 to ID6 and wanted to know if your BimmerTech kit doesn't come with a magnetic GPS antenna (I received the wire coming from the blue port on the HU) but have no idea where the other end attaches. I'm assuming the car's stock antenna? Thanks a mil
Thanks a lot :) This depends on the car’s configuration. If your kit came with an extension for the GPS you will most probably have to connect it to a **cable** that used to connect into the Telecommunication modules in the back of the car - in your case most probably the TCB.
Does it need to connect to WiFi or does it have that?
Can you please do a video of how to fit the android 8.8 screen from scratch including trim removal in the 2014/5 BMW 2 series Active tourer.

Hi, this is OEM kit. It doesn't include Android Auto.
Does the NBT EVO come with an ATM module or is that not needed?
Also, what is the extra quad lock cable for? I’ve been doing research and no one else uses an extra quad lock cable. I have 2016 F30 with NBT entrynav.
When it comes to the ATM module this depends on the head unit. Some of the retrofits come with the ATM module as a part of the kit, while the other ones will come without it. Both of the kits will work the same, there is no difference on the user’s side. As for the quadlock connector, this purely depends on the car’s factory configuration and the kit you order.
How difficult is the coding of the NBT? I currently have the navigation stock idrive unit installed? is it simply a plug and play? thanks
Anytime coding is required with any of our retrofits a remote coding session is included in the price so you don't have to worry about it.
Couldn't you theoretically use the car's GPS and Bluetooth antenna? Or do you have to attach these two extra antennas in any case? And what about existing reversing cameras?
Whether you have to add an antenna or not depends on your vehicle specs. When you enter your VIN on the product page you'll see if it's necessary for your vehicle.

does it change the chime to the newer chime that comes with the iDrive 6 system? the newer chime comes in like 2017/2018 BMWs, the older chime sounds a bit ugly
The chimes goes through head unit, so yes, it changed with ID6 system :)
Do I need to have my aux plugged in for this to hear sound? Or does this retrofit automatically come with Bluetooth which you can hear sound
NBT EVO retrofits come with WiFi and BlueTooth antennas as well as CarPlay activated so you can use it to listen to music wirelessly through Spotify or any other music app that works with CarPlay.
The CIC CAN bus signal is CAN1 and the NBT CAN bus signal is CAN2, right? Is it not necessary to convert to 4SK/8SK CAN2 compatible ZGW?
No CAN1 or CAN2 are not specifically for CIC or NBT head units. I would like to do this, I have the normal nbt would like to upgrade, my question is will my service history on Idrive be deleted? Is it possible to put it back?
If you’d like to have the service history copied onto the NBT EVO Head Unit we can do it for you during a remote session with our technician.

I only want to be able to screen mirror my phone for the back screens of my 2015 F86 X6M, is this just a coding retrofit?
Mirroring to back screens is not possible with NBT Evo. In fact we don't have this kind of service at all.

Hi - i have an 03/2015 F31. Is the gps antenna necessary for cars already installed with sat nav S606/S658/S698. Also why is BMW assist no longer available after the install? If I want to retain BMW assist am I better off with the MMI Prime?
Hey there! When retrofitting to the NBT EVO ID5/6 the GPS antenna is always necessary, from the beginning of 2021 BMW stopped supporting the BMW assist for 2016 and newer vehicles, so yeah if you would like to keep that service in your car but still get CarPlay and Android Auto then the MMI would be a great addition to it.

is there a need to have a connection going from the harness to the USB port underneath the armrest to get audio with this unit? i have seen this is the case with some other MMI boxes on the market. I have a 2018 F30 NBT EVO
On some cars it's needed, on others not. We'd have to know your VIN to tell for sure. Please send us its last 7 digits and we'll check.
At 10:58 What does the small 20 pin connector do ??
That is the OABR connector (OPEN Alliance BroadR-Reach) and it is used for data transmission via ethernet.
why do u use a gps isn't it in the car standard (are you stil able to use the bow connected app or the my bmw?)
This is an NBT Evo ID5/6 navigation retrofit. That's why we use gps. It's not a standard.

My F30 comes with ID5 without Bluetooth, does doing this give me Bluetooth functionality?
You probably have the Entry Nav system. With NBT you'll have BT connectivity :)

Hi, HUD PDC and surround view will continue to work. If you have anything like remote services or BMW Assist- you will lose them unfortunately.

BMW connected services are controlled only by BMW, if you don't have them, you should reach out to your dealer.
