boy jim halsey was ahead of his time with this rc10. all the chassis cutting and other mods to jay's buggy was mind blowing back in the day. i wonder what happened to him? i wonder if he has a hand in jay's company?
A kit less electronics with bronze bushings was $188. This is equal to $529 in 2024 dollars. The full kit with motor, MSC, bearings was $269 or approximately $825 in 2024 dollars. Only a small few could afford these.
no there not stronger or faster, just more efficient. the old rc10 is just as strong or stronger as the new ones. i had one in the 80s , i wished i had it back.
At one time, it seemed like all the best cars were ugly. The classic RC10, the classic Ultima, and the Schumacher Cat XL - were all ugly, in my opinion. The Tamiya cars were always the best-looking. (Unfortunately, they were also mediocre competitors)
Gives you a great appreciation for what went into that car. I will keep my original until death.
This series of videos is awesome !! Makes me miss my Grasshopper !!
I'm a Losi guy, but at the end of the day I love and appreciate ALL hobby grade RC cars!!!!
They changed the game. Love all my Associated cars
I Love RC10, for life!!

Had the gold tube RC10 years ago. Should have held on to that one. Great buggy.
Holy shit I could have sworn I saw Americans actually manufacturing something in our own country
It is rare but SpaceX and Elon musk Tesla does it every day in America
Yes it was great but no more.china makes them now which is sad!
RIP Mike Reedy
this is a nicer buggy than todays rc10
