I honestly am shocked at the price to press out the guides and press in new ones. I figured that was a heavy labor job that would cost a lot more. I can attest to the things you've said, as I've been one of those who overlooks the guides and my problems were not fixed. I will say one thing though and I cannot stress this enough, Naptown is spot on as to why he tells us and educates us to buy original Audi parts. You WILL end up paying more by being frugal and buying China. The work will have to be done twice, gaskets, o rings, bolts, etc will have to be bought twice, and your downtime will more than double. Take the extra time to save up a little more and buy original. I've done it and it sucks
Hello. Love your videos. I have an 2011 A4 2.0T with bent valves because it went out of time. Is it possible to remove the head without removing the intake first? Was hoping I could pull the head, exhaust manifold and intake all together then remove them on the bench. Thanks for your entertaining and informative videos
Nice video. Just pulled apart my BHZ ebgine today. Pulled the cam craddle off and found the head and camshafts badly scored. Any idea what would cause this? Faulty oil pump?

Where are you located? I got a 2014 Q5 CPM engine with bad bad misfire on 4. While carbon cleaning, I noticed one of the intake valves seeped cleaner down the cylinder. All the others held well. How much to replace the one bad valve?

I don’t believe I actually mentioned that on my channel, I said “plain of earth” one time. I’ve been learning about all the stuff for about 5 years now and Eventually I’ll start another UA-cam channel or some other platform of some kind so I don’t lose everything. I’ve got such thick skin I’m immune to ridicule so that’s not why I don’t talk about that kind of stuff on here, eventually my entire channel could get wiped away like many others have on the first strike for nothing so I can’t afford for that to happen as I have been putting my life’s savings into trying to make the channel profitable so I don’t have to go to work for someone else again. Check you hpfp for wear then make sure your timing belt water pump is done, it’s also a good idea to replace your rear cam adjuster but not as important. I’ll have a few videos on that engine coming up in about a week
Speaking of boost, from your knowledge how much boost does a k03 push on stage 1 or 2? I know it can be different from tuner to tuner but usually what is the safe spot?
i have a k03 on the ea888 1.8t fsi gen 1, with the racechip, my boostguage exceeds 10psi before the diverter valve kicks in , this is supposed to represent stage 1, i had it configured to output more because i have a upgraded intercooler, cold air intake, and a throttle body spacer
@@aminkhan1292 Racechip is worse than a actual remap, an 1.8 tfsi stock is 120hp or 160hp(same engine, marketing strategy) with an actual remap makes 200hp and it should push 1 bar(14.5 psi) at stage 1, my k03 on stage 2 makes 1.2 bar(17.4 psi) until around 4k rpm then less as you go further in the rpm. I was curious what is his answer because i heard people that can make 1.4-1.5 bar with k03 on the 2.0 tfsi but i could not manage to push the turbo on my 1.8tfsi to do that even though my wastegate is ok and i changed the standard dv with an dv+ from gfb. At the moment i make 230hp on a 1.8 tfsi stage 2 with 1.2 bar.
@@noitrex im trying to change my dv but i have a rounded off bolt, im going to cut it out and do the dv+ kit, i got the racechip as i have trade discounts and wanted to manage my hard foot while im on the motorway. the xlr and racechip work well for economy for me. i plan on skipping stage 1 and going straight to stage 2, just waiting on the sports cat
Well, my engine failed on me because of the original oil pump ceaced up, if a freewheel is not the solution, then what is? : S Im not gonna buy a new original one, that cost more then what I paid for the car.
These engines are junk. Had a chunk of my exhaust cam gear break off during driving the other day. Took out the upper chain guide mount as well. Im gonna weld that guide mount back on, replace the valves and find a used exhaust cam. Car is up for sale as soon as it gets running again. Shit cars.

These 2.0TFSI get some serious increase in power from tuning. Would you say that with new chains and pistons it is "safe" or "ok" to tune them?

Wait, so can you buy a OE camtray and fit it on a refurb cyl head? Or can you only use the camtray that came with the car originally.
