The 3ds and wii u ports of rodea the sky soldier were not made by prope, but by kadokawa games, their publisher. Prope developed the original wii version, aka the good one You should definitely play it, it’s one of my favorites on the wii

Combat of giants was a series that was custom made to take advantage of little kids. Trailers look awesome, giant monsters fighting, but there is nothing else to the game. It is so boring, every entry. The best thing about that series is the weird secret bosses where you fight buses and phone booths. It’s so painfully simple.
Ngl this would’ve been perfect for my nephew a couple years ago. He was 4, in a dinosaur phase at the time, and unable to play very complex video games, so he would’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. When he asked me for some Dinosaur video games, all I could find were Jurassic World park sims. If only I’d heard of this game earlier!
Rhodea on the Wii is good. It came with the Wii U version which is also bad. So they manged to make the same game three different ways and It came out good only once.
I actually beat Asphalt 3D last year and sort of liked it. Granted, it’s not amazing, but I still had fun. I also have Rodea on the 3DS and will be playing that in the future too 😁
And is funny when you notice that this happened two times. Altought the 3ds Fossil Fighters isnt that bad, is the worst of the franchise, and when you think that this is a Nintendo franchise.
Frozen: Olaf's Quest deserves to be on this list too. Even for a fan of the series like myself, it felt like a letdown as it's barely even engaging; if it weren't for its free-to-play aspects I would've said that the Frozen mobile puzzle games were leagues ahead of the 3DS tie-in.
So as a kid I had asphalt 3D and since it was one of the only games out close to launch I played it a lot. Well idk if it was just my copy or what but I could never save my progress. So I would either have to leave my system on and charging or have to restart progress anytime I wanted to play a different game. Not to mention I didn’t even learn about the ambassador program until just last year. I could have been playing metriod fusion instead of some crappy racing game

Young Justice Legacy. I love the show so much. I was so excited to see a tactical game coming to the 3DS but my lord, there's just nothing redeeming about it at all.
I wanted to get the attack on titan game. But my 3DS wouldn't let me buy it back in the day! When I was finally 18, it was gone forever, and I'm still depressed about it! My parents didnt mind me playing rated M games when I was a teen (I got the evil within and bioshock infinite when I was 14). But Nintendo was like "no you're to young! Go play Mario, kid!"
We’re going to have to agree to disagree on Maddog. It’s short, punchy fun that asks very little of a player. The 3DS version is a great port of the arcade, even bring back scenes that were cut in the PC versions. I think it’s a pretty okay game.
Disagree so dang much about Sonic Boom here.The game has actually been very competently well made and more easier to go through compared to its Wii U counterpart that it's been well worth playing along with its sequel. It does NOT deserve to be on the same list as games like Asphalt 3D! Heck even Langrisser isn't even all that bad in itself either.

Attack on Titan - At first glance, this looked appealing to me, even with the negatives that you list, however the thing that really turns me off the game is the permanent button prompts. Honestly, how are people not insulted by the fact that the designers obviously thought players would be too stupid to know what buttons to press? And honestly, I have to wonder why they choose these styles of games to beat players over the head with control prompts, but yet games with far more complex controls, like 1 on 1 fighting games, don't have any prompts at all. It makes no sense.

I assumed you blindly tapped on the screen and hoped you hit your targets on the top screen, but you could just drag your stylus around the screen as the crosshairs follow it on the top screen as you fired and reloaded using the shoulder buttons. The video quality is also surprisingly good, which isn't saying too much seeing as though it's video of actors from the 90's... Compared to Dragon's Lair on the DSi or any GBA Video. I'd say for the novelty, it's not too bad for 5 bucks. The criticism should be more towards the actual arcade game having various BS deaths with enemies being next to impossible to see in the shadows or being too far away giving you next to no time to react... I suppose also not unlike the legendary Dragon's Lair games being nothing but split-second QTEs, as of course being arcade games, they were made to drain your tokens.

Like I get it, you don't like your progression being gated by collectibles and all... but what do you expect from games that are literally in the genre of collectathon? Yes you should avoid collectathons of you don't like collecting "useless" trinkets, otherwise give them an honest try on the games terms.
