OMG 3ds library is really good than both psp and android. I shocked when i see ironfall invasion and Mario maker game in same console but i sad 🥺 because this console is still not available in my country.
great list that no one quite literally doesn’t talk about. easily one of the most unique lists you’re going to find on youtube that isn’t obviously generic and copies 90% of other lists. will definitely give some of these games a try on my modded 3ds
Gosh, yes - Fantasy Life! I put dozens of hours into this thing, cooking every recipe I could get my hands on! Great little gem that I wish would get a Switch sequel!
Or at least that it got a proper sequel system, like an HD3DS. I would've loved to have 3D gameplay in a higher resolution. Heck, even just 480p would've been a massive upgrade that would've made games look really clean on screens of similar size. And with the 3D, that would've been awesome, especially if games could get 60fps more consistently with it on. Link Between Worlds looks super crisp with the 3D on
@@jcc4543 Switch is one of Nintendo's worst consoles. Don't get me wrong, the library is insanely good, but the features of the console itself are all half baked. They're just presented really well and that top tier marketing made it a success. Let's be real: No browser function still in 2024, their eShop is literally just a straight reverse chronological list with no real sorting options without doing a specific search and sales (and who knows how that is sorted), they don't have any in-build social media that even the New 3DS got with Miiverse (short lived as it was), the gimmick is something that in Nintendo's best estimates is used maybe 20% of the time and most people either leave it docked or undocked 100% of the time, there is no way for players to adjust the strength of the rumble that was a major feature at launch and has since been nerfed on a system level because of some early complaints that the rumble was too strong making it far less noticeable and still no user control, the joy cons have drift, the d-pads on the pro controllers notoriously read incorrect inputs when moving from side to side unlike basically any other Nintendo console, the early systems had a ventilation/heating issue that caused the grills to crack for many players, not to mention they used nonstandard powering rates that caused many third party docks to brick the console cause of their weird choice, and for 4 years, the console got less first party exclusive games than the Wii U in the same equivalent years (made up for somewhat with Wii U ports, but that also does nothing for the most loyal fans who didn't even get a way to upgrade at a discount). Really, even from a games perspective the Switch didn't hit its stride until 2021 or so. The pricing has been the most egregious Nintendo's ever done (except for Metroid Prime Remaster which was a very unusually good deal by any standards), the Switch pro controller is lost the insane battery life advantage the Wii U pro controller had while costing $20 more, they started charging for online and barely improved it, even removing voice chat from the console, which even the Wii had. No folder system for the longest time and now they did some alternative that is basically a collection of wish lists that reference the games but they aren't accessible from the home menu, you need to go to the full app menu first, which is really weird for a console designed around being snappy. No price drops, no Nintendo selects or equivalents, no themes and barely anything that could be considered a customization option outside of profile icons, and no system level music in any of the system apps or homepage. It can't even. On a more personal note, I hate that they switched to offset thumb sticks. I loved the parallel sticks on the Wii U, felt like it gave the console a bit more character and made d-pad controlled games feel a bit more natural as a benefit. A unique niche that they fully abandoned for the Xbox standard, and this just makes it even harder to go between other consoles and the Switch because the button layout is the same for both and that triggers muscle memory when I switch between Xbox/PC and Switch that the alternate layout actually helped mitigate for me. I'll admit that's mostly personal preference and a multi-platforn gamer issue than console itself issue, so that's why it's in its own section here. Also the handheld mode is just plain the least comfortable a Nintendo handheld has ever been with that flat back and the weight of it. Sure, third party options help, but that's more of a point against the system for me Personally, what I can say is that the Switch got me playing other consoles and non-Nintendo games than any of their prior consoles, and I lived through the Wii U years and stopped buying the 2D platformers by the time DK:TF came out, so I did not have much to play back then. I was not that way with the Switch and yet it still got me away from Nintendo games more than that. When I realized that, I realized the Switch is just not a console I enjoy much despite my time on it and vast library for it.
Code name steam is pretty underrated. It had a great art style. Gameplay was pretty decent too. I hope Nintendo doesn’t let this one behind in the future
If only the fast forward feature worked on the original 3DS and was out at launch before it got so many negative impressions and reviews. Seriously underrated gem of a game. Plus, the Fire Emblem amiibo functionality adds in some really cool risk vs reward gameplay options, since they're kinda like an optional permadeath mode
@@Chronoflation The fast forward feature was implemented on the Old 3DS, but it was only 2x while the New 3DS was up to 3x. I played on the old 3DS with the update and it was good, but I can see how slow the game felt at launch without that option.
@@cesartribst Oh, it did get 2x on the original? I knew there was some difference. I must've misremembered. I need to go back and replay the game, I really enjoyed the time I put into it back in the day
I love these 'Forgotten games' videos, I've been watching a lot of them lately. There are a lot of game critics out there, both professional and just regular gamers, so eager to declare something is garbage because it has a single flaw, or call a game dead because it's player base dropped from 1 million players down to "only" 100,000, etc. And the game industry itself is so obsessed with "newer and better" that anything more than 5 years old is treated like it doesn't exist any more.... It's nice to just hear a more positive take instead, to hear about some of the games we've missed due to the overwhelming noise of the industry, some older games that are still fun to play, even if they're not perfect, they're still fantastic games that some game artists put a lot of work into.
That’s why I still enjoy Ds games. Most of them at their core a just pure fun. Critically these games would be considered trash (good example battlefront Ds) but are so enjoyable
Finally someone mentioned Ironfall Invasion! I thought that game was actually really fun, but you’re the first person I’ve come across who actually discussed it. Strong recommendation from me 😁
I convinced my friends to pick up Fantasy Life with me, and we put a crazy amount of time into the game. I was a paladin, tailor, miner, and also was our cook. My friends focused fishing, wood cutting, black smithing, alchemist, and carpentry. I believe one was a magician, and the other a hunter. It was a lot of fun and we had an apartment together at the time so it was the perfect pickup and play type rpg.
My older siblings used to tell me that fantasy life was faaar too violent for a little soul such as myself and so never let me play it. Once they had basically abandoned the 3ds we used, I picked it up and found out that, no the game want too violent, it just only had 3 save slots and they didn’t want to have to share them. Aaand now that 3ds is broken so I can’t play it anymore at all
I agree, especially with Fantasy Life. I want a definitive edition that includes the $9.99 dlc as well as the so-called missing LIFES that weren’t included in the final build. I also add Stella Glow as that was an amazing strategy game that should also see a remake and/or a sequel.
@@NYCJoeBlack holy I've never met someone who likes Fantasy Life and Stella Glow like i do. I adore Stella Glow, i just love how each of the Characters has unique Combat. And Fantasy Life is just everything for me
When Oasis came out all I can think was switch please let it come to the switch. Then last year I finally caved and said okay It's not coming and I'm not seeing it around anymore I'm going to grab it. Not sure what the cost is for that game right now but I imagine it'll skyrocket and I don't care that It goes up in price. I only care that it goes up in price when I can't play it. Which is where the problem comes in. I didn't want to have to fork over that kind of money to buy the game but at the same time I certainly didn't want to fork over $600 later on. Which is just ridiculous that we have to put up with that nonsense but it is what it is. Yeah because I really wanted it on the switch unfortunately it never came. I'm not saying it won't come but as of right now we're pretty far into the switch's life and not a peep
If the Dillon's Rolling Western concept looks interesting to you, I recommend starting with the second game (The Last Ranger) or the third game (Deadheat Breakers), as the performance/framerate on the first game suffers even on the New 3DS. Plus The Last Ranger is basically just an enhanced version of the first, and Deadheat Breakers adds a lot of new systems onto the original concept. Great mix of stylus-controlled combat and tower defense.
One of my favorite games on the 3ds was the denpa men series. It was such a cute yet intense game that is very much inspired by dragon quest and other old school jrpg's of the like
Noitu Love: Devolution is definitely worth a mention, a 2d retro action game that makes wonderful work of the touch screen, it's very intuitive and fun (and it was made by a single guy too) very cool and short enough for doing multiple playthroughs with various characters
I think the 3DS is the most underrated video game console of the 2010's. There's such a mixture of reactions to it to this day, the most positive being for the XL versions which are easier to handle overall and make the 3D much easier to view and enjoy with less strain on the eyes.
I recently picked up a new 2DS XL and I've been enjoying it a lot tbh. The amount of games that are able to run it is immense and there are so many gems in there
I never used one back in the day, but in more recent years bought a used 'New' 3DS XL to mod and install a Commodore 64 emulator on (great device for that), and started discovering the excellent games library available for it. Built up a good collection of physical games (3DS and DS), although resorted to less legitimate means to get other games thanks to the ever-rising prices for physical versions, and some just being rare or never available in cartridge form. I still look to add to the collection when I come across a decently-priced game I don't have and looks interesting. I have since added a Galaxy style New 3DS XL as I like the look of that. Rare to see in the UK as it wasn't officially released here. Brilliant little console. I wish there was a more modern equivalent with the dual-screen clamshell setup. I have Codename Steam and Fantasy Life in cartridge format, plus a non-legit copy of Ace Combat (the later + version tends to be tricky to find and expensive if you do).
The New 3DS non-XL may be less comfy to hold than the XL version, but the extra pixel density can really make some games a lot more crisp to play and the 3D effect looks a lot better on it, in my opinion. I always felt like the XL scaled up the X and Y axis, but they didn't scale up the 3D Z axis with it, so the 3D always felt muted on the XLs to me. Decent, but not quite as good as they could be
@@Chronoflation that's a really interesting perspective. I've heard various reactions to 3D on 3DS consoles given everyone has different eyesight and noticed some people prefer the older versions versus the camera eye tracking 3D versions. To each their own, but interesting nonetheless.
I bought Codename STEAM brand new for 5 bucks a few years ago. I heard bad things about it but I was pleasantly surprised how much I really liked it. Sad it got such a bad reception.
I saw Fossil Fighter Frontier in the intro and I had to rush over here cuz I actually thought you put on the list there's a good reason why not a lot of the fandom talks about that game it's probably the thing that brought down the series. But we are still hopeful that we may get a remake of some sorts since the original Fossil Fighters are such a great game
I remember playing Ironfall back when I was really, REALLY into Gears of War and saw the game online. Only way to get my hide n shoot fix on the go hahah. Looking back at the footage it's crazy how similar they are, almost like a low-poly reskin! The devs did a great job on it.
The game looks really impressive, and I applaud the programmers. Unfortunately, the story is boring, the gameplay is just mindless shooting with generic enemies, and the voice acting is bad.
Great list as always, really need to get around to playing Fantasy Life. Love Stardew valley, life sim games and Level 5 is one of my favorite developers...don't know how I missed that one. Shame they dont seems to want to make a sequel and also that they closed their NA localization team.
Honestly, go play Fantasy Life. Maybe even purchase the DLC while you can. It's my favorite 3DS Game. I love the kinda stupid story and thr cute graphics. But it's also just Comfy:The Game for me
It really is. I've spend over 500 hours on a single Character alone. This game is just so cute. I remember getting the DLC and having to grind levels to start it
Would love to see the 3DS game Heroes of Ruin be featured in one of these videos. That was the first game on the 3DS that I've heard of having an online demo and a chatroom. The demo was really fun. I was too young to afford the full game though
@@Dzzy123 Most likely long dead. It's one of those games that I wish I could have gotten into. It was a game of its day. If there was another like it, I would give it a chance. My best bet is probably an MMO or something.
It's fully playable and really fun in single player, I recommend trying it. There's aren't many action RPGs on the system that are of a similarly high quality.
10:08 Return to Popolocrois was the one I'm waiting because I saw it on your thumbnail 😆 it's like I wanna try it next time because I can see Rockman x Pokémon lol
Back then the only reason to own Ironfall Invasion was for an exploit that helped homebrew 3DSs. It was also the same reason why folks would purchase Cubic Ninja, an exploit was found using the QR code scanning feature which would cause a buffer overflow to happen allowing folks to run custom hardware on their 3DSs. Both Cubic Ninja and Ironfall Invasion were pulled from the 3DS eShop briefly to prevent others from downloading the games just to run an exploit. Ironfall Invasion was eventually put back up and was given a patch that automatically comes with recent downloads which makes the exploit for the game unusable even if an older version of the game is available, unfortunately Cubic Ninja is still unavailable digitally although its listing is still on the 3DS eShop it says "Available at your local retailer". That said, the exploit for Cubic Ninja still works but requires multiple QR codes to be scanned due to the web services for Cubic Ninja being revoked once system update 11.0 came out which also patched tons of homebrew exploits including Cubic Ninja's exploit, hence why the web services for Cubic Ninja got revoked. But enough about why Ironfall Invasion had a brief period of popularity, I have a few recommendations of my own for games that rarely get mentioned. First, Senran Kagura Burst and Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson. Both games are pretty much digital only these days with Senran Kagura Burst being *only* digital (at least in the US) and the sequel having both physical and digital releases worldwide but good luck finding a physical copy for cheap online. Both games are 2.5D side-scrolling, beat-em-ups starting anime girls with big booba. Senran Kagura Burst and its sequel may have different ratings, but both are for mature audiences and not for children and also the kind of games you'd need headphones to play in public. Second, the Denpa Men series. All three games have the main feature of traveling through locations in the real world to collect creatures called "Denpa Men", kinda like Pokémon GO but before the game existed. Catching Denpa Men is also difficult to how Pokémon handles it. Instead of using balls, you use nets. You can only catch so many Denpa Men at once before you need to accept or release the Denpa Men you've captured and depending on how long you linger in a city you can get rare Denpa Men that have special antennas. Usually something like boosting item drop rates or how much gold you'll get. Also for some reason they use text-to-speech software for the main character but everyone else talks ala Mario & Luigi style. Third, Kirby's Deluxe spinoffs. After the success of Kirby Triple Deluxe and seeing how much folks enjoyed the side games included in Kirby 3D and in 2014 HAL Labs made Kirby Fighters Deluxe and Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe, both are reasonably cheep yet both have hours of content and going for platinum medals/trophies is a really tough challenge many can enjoy. In 2017, following the success of Kirby Planet Robobot, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Kirby Blowout Blast were released. The latter released in July while the former was released in April. Unlike the other three games, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe was the first time Kirby was made into a free-to-pay game. Unlike its spiritual sequel, Super Kirby Clash, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe has a limit of 3,000 Gem Apples that can be purchased with real money, after those 3,000 are purchased no more can be bought and the Gem Apple Tree will be at max level giving 450 Gem Apple every 12 hours. It's recommended to buy all 3,000 Gem Apples or else it'll take roughly three years to beat the game due to the Gem Apples required to unlock later quests.
Awesome vid man, I tune in every week, always a game I've never heard of on here. But a quick one, do you have a lost of all the songs you use on your vids? The two if love to know are the intro song and the second song, I recognise them but don't know where from 😂
Yeah, the story was great! But also the connections in gameplay. I remember starting as a Tailor and having this galaxy brain moment of noticing that every job is connected
An actually really good underrated 3DS games video with games that some people might actually not know about or know about negatively despite them actually being pretty good, like Code Name STEAM
I’ve played a few of these myself and have to agree that there are some pretty great titles here. Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball is a really different game. Though the baseball minigames are each and their own fun to complete, the huge sticking point that makes the game stand out all takes place in Rusty’s shop. Rusty manages to tell a good story, and it’s a treat that will be a home run with fans who are familiar with old school Nintendo, before they even made video games. The game is also packed with little details that go a long way. It’s an experience that I don’t think will be the same without the haggling down prices with real money combined with in-game coupons, (which should approximately total out to $16 dollars factoring the best haggle deals) so it’s a bummer to see its spirit die with the Eshop. Now Codename S.T.E.A.M. may even be my favorite title on the entire Nintendo 3DS - post alien speed patch of course. The standard 3DS has a toggle for x2 speed, while the New 3DS gets x3 speed amongst other additional QoL enhancements, but playing on either system is ultimately good either way. Codename S.T.E.A.M. didn’t feel like a title that Nintendo wanted to shove in everyone’s face to reach an expected sales quota for that year. Instead, the game felt like it was a developer's passion project that managed to get the greenlight to actually be made into a reality. Codename S.T.E.A.M. is to tactics games, what Classic Paper Mario is to traditional RPGs. Considering how many developers worked on both games, I think that was exactly the goal. Both games simplify the mechanics of the core gameplay loop, starting you out with the limited, basic methods of combat, and eventually expand the range of playstyles to an near infinite degree with new characters, perks, and attacks that you are in charge of experimenting with. Not to mention, the luck factor notorious in both genres takes a far back seat in both games, making the player's skill of executing the attacks take the spotlight. It’s funny how both games take what effectively is their genre that they redefine, and evolve them into what are basically action based puzzle games with visual aesthetics based on cartoon books. Like Paper Mario did to me and RPG’s, Codename S.T.E.A.M. was the game that finally got me to start trying other tactics games to see how it held up in comparison to them, and I eventually got into Advance Wars, Xcom, and I did try out the GBA Fire Emblem titles because of it. After playing a lot of different strategy games, I came back to Codename S.T.E.A.M. to see if it held up, and again, just like Paper Mario had done with RPGs, I personally think Codename S.T.E.A.M. stands out of the bunch for how it takes its own strides to make itself feel smarter and less luck dependent, more structurally unique, and just full of character all around. Codename S.T.E.A.M. can go under $5 loose at local game stores, and if you see it, it’s such an easy snag for what you can get out of it. If you go in without any expectations given it’s a new IP from Intelligent Systems and are up for solving a tough yet fair challenge, Codename S.T.E.A.M. and all its glorious one liners are probably going to stick with you for a while. - Noah
I’m surprised more people didn’t pick up Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. considering it was developed by Intelligent Systems. It’s also still cheap as heck even now.
One of my hidden gems is Heroes of Ruin it's a great 3ds game that had it all: 3D, wifi and online 4 player dungeon crawling, voice communication through your mic, online leaderboards etc etc. Only downside was that it burned trough you 3ds battery like a mouse trough cheese. But I enjoyed playing trough the game with a frien online and offline. It's like diablo only on a 3ds. Also the lore was super cheesy. And it got repetitive after a point.
0:04 - C'mon, Fossil Fighters Frontier was right there and you didn't end up talking about it! Spectacular video here giving so many 3DS games their much needed attention. I was particularly pleased to see Dillon's Rolling Western get promoted; it is an awesome series that I wish more people could experience (the 3rd game in the series is easily amongst my favourite 3DS games). Fantasy Life is also a great game that more folks should experience. I was also surprised to see games featured here that I had never even heard of myself. I tend to be somewhat familiar with obscure games, at least outside of the PC scene, but the likes of Rage of the Gladiator, Return to Popolocrois and Moon Chronicles were unknown entities to me. Cool to learn of them.
You should have mentioned that Codename STEAM had a party that was comprised of classic American fictional characters like Tom Sawyer and Dorothy from Oz. I thought that was kind of cool. I'd like to see the series get a revisit.
Dang, you literally listed a bunch of games I never heard of. Not to brag but that's a great feat, thank you for expanding our catalog of games to check out.
My older brother got me fantasy life for my 14th birthday and i always had a blast playing it until i got stuck and kinda just lost interest. I totally forgot it existed until i saw this video, makes me wanna dig out my old 3ds and cartridge from storage
Protect Me Knight/Gotta Protectors is slept on so hard by so many people. I loved playing the game back on the Xbox 360 and couldn’t wait for the 3DS sequel to come out. Unfortunately the series isn’t as much as a hit as I see it as though :/ Thanks for putting one of my favorites in here. It means a lot.
I love Ace Combat. The weird thing is that rather than releasing an update, Nintendo launched the plus version on a second (physical) game, with amiibo support, so is much better to get that late version.
Aww, no love for the Etrian Odyssey games? It's an Atlus-developed first-person dungeon crawler series that I've fallen in love with. No one seems to have ever heard of it though...
@@ChibiKami They did keep the skits in but unfortunately no Japanese dub nor did they voice the skits. I think the 3DS version is better than the PS2 version since they put a little more context from the Japanese version.

Code name Steam definitely deserved more love from Nintendo fans , very fun strategy game and an original IP. Iron Fall also deserved more support , very good Gameplay and graphics (one of the Best on the 3DS) , many people criticized that it was a Gear of war rip off , but the thing is it was actually a good third person shooter, the only one on the 3DS with this style of Gameplay.
Fairune (series) - it is Hylide but with modern gaming sensibilities to make it a shot and tight polished gaming experience. You explore and grind a bit to continued if needed. Not only does it tell what you what to grind, that is often a clue of where to go next. Dark Legend of the Witch (series) - this a shooty arcade platformer similar to the ones on the PC-Engine e.g. "Dragon Egg!", "Chiki Chiki Boys". But you have Megaman Bosses with weapon acquisition and Gradius upgrades (speed, missile, double/laser, options.)
i bought a brand new copy of fire emblem warriors right before having surgery and when i put in the cartridge is was just Code Name Steam. Needless to say I was happy.
Absolutely LOVE this channel, but HATE that I have to spend money buying these games I didn’t know about ☹️ How was you able to capture 3DS footage, it looks amazing!
Just wondering, is there a reason why you don’t have the title of the game pasted in the corner during the whole clip like you did in other vids? I used to really like it, it helped me remember titles to check out and was easier to screenshot for later. But I understand if there’s an added benefit to not having them.
If you like RPG’s Dragon Quest 8 Journey Of The Cursed King is close to a masterpiece on the 3DS. Unfortunately it’s a rare and expensive game but 100% worth it’s price.
I love your videos bro. I have a list of games I want to play on different consoles and since watching your videos that list has tripled. Like 👍 for all your videos. Fantasy live one of my favorite 3ds games.
Fans of Fantasy Life should check out Kitaria Fables for modern platforms - while not identical it does share enough in common that those who loved Level 5's classic would love this as well.
Re: Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy, its actually a remake of 2 on the PS1, but AHL specifically is a prequel to the events of 7 (as AHL expands on concepts not explained in 2), which itself leads to 3 (in spoilerly ways for both AHL and 7). Also, surprised the whole issue with IronFall being used for a homebrew exploit wasn't mentioned, which was probably its literal only claim to fame, and why it was delisted from the eShop for a time. More trivia, for Codename STEAM: You can use Fire Emblem amiibos to get them as playable characters. Pretty interesting idea for a X-Com clone IMO. And you probably only know about Rusty's Real Deal Baseball because of Nick Robinson.
Any suggestions? Im looking for RPG game that you can customise your character. With armors, swords and many more. Variety of classes and not a turn base game. (Android, 3ds, Ps2)
Great video, I even discovered some games I didn't knew myself, you should talk about 7th Dragon on the next part, that's a title I've literally never heard anyone talking about.
7th Dragon almost warrants a history video on its own thanks to its complex market identity. It's not as bad as, say, Megami Tensei, but still the first game on DS is the brainchild of Rieko Kodama (Phantasy Star) 7th Dragon 2020 on PSP is less a sequel and more a reimagining, itself getting a sequel in 7th Dragon 2020-II 7th Dragon III Code VFD on 3DS is actually a sequel to 2020-II luckily every game in the series has been translated to English in one form or another

Sure, third party options help, but that's more of a point against the system for me
Personally, what I can say is that the Switch got me playing other consoles and non-Nintendo games than any of their prior consoles, and I lived through the Wii U years and stopped buying the 2D platformers by the time DK:TF came out, so I did not have much to play back then. I was not that way with the Switch and yet it still got me away from Nintendo games more than that. When I realized that, I realized the Switch is just not a console I enjoy much despite my time on it and vast library for it.
Great video can’t wait for part 2 as I’ve been looking for 3DS recommendations but most lists out there are 80% Pokémon and Zelda
I couldn't have said it better myself.
That’s why I still enjoy Ds games. Most of them at their core a just pure fun. Critically these games would be considered trash (good example battlefront Ds) but are so enjoyable
Man what a way to put it, yes
Finally someone mentioned Ironfall Invasion! I thought that game was actually really fun, but you’re the first person I’ve come across who actually discussed it. Strong recommendation from me 😁
I’ll second that! Had a great time with it 🙂
Iron Fall A technical achievement
I just played it and it's really fun! and a good shooter for the system 👍
Gotta love how it became the entrypoint for many a 3DS Hackers, too! XD
@@elsas9904 It still baffles me that they never decided to release it physically. Considering some of the games that did get a physical release…
Aaand now that 3ds is broken so I can’t play it anymore at all
Emulation... Citra work wonders 😏
Fantasy life and ever oasis . Best 2 games on the 3ds and both are so underrated and not talked about enough. Both should also have switch ports.
The Bean Toe squad will never be forgotten!! T_T
Most of you probably know the by now but Fantasy Life is getting a switch remake and will launch I believe sometime this year 🙃
Me trying to figure out where the game in the thumbnail is
I've been waiting for this!
Hope you enjoy it!
@@thatvideogamesshow Bring on Part 2!!!!
In the works 🙂
Imagine. Invent a non 3D glasses 3D interface and people sleep on the possibilities.
For a while my favorite 3DS game was Steel Diver: Sub Wars. The online was fun, customization was cool and I was actually good at it online.
I consider myself pretty versed in 3DS games, yet I found one here I wasn't aware of. Ty, just bought a copy online lol
Glad you found something new!
Was the game Return to Popolocrois? I didn't realise they had a sequel to the PSP game (because they didn't release it in Australia).
@@AwesomeYears it was! LOL
I guess that "Ever Oasis" will be in part 2. 😉
They have a sequel….of sorts….as a mobile game.
Honestly, go play Fantasy Life. Maybe even purchase the DLC while you can.
It's my favorite 3DS Game. I love the kinda stupid story and thr cute graphics. But it's also just Comfy:The Game for me
Superb list amigo, thanks! 🙏 So good I will have to watch more of your videos now 😀
Wow Fantasy life!
I have two of them it's a great game with hours of fun!😃
It really is. I've spend over 500 hours on a single Character alone. This game is just so cute. I remember getting the DLC and having to grind levels to start it
Would love to see the 3DS game Heroes of Ruin be featured in one of these videos. That was the first game on the 3DS that I've heard of having an online demo and a chatroom. The demo was really fun. I was too young to afford the full game though
I still have Heroes of Ruin. It was a solid game that got updates when it was first released, I think. I'd assume the online community is dead by now.
This channel is my go to for searching obscure and yet superb games. I recommend this to other ppl I know.
Awesome vid man, I tune in every week, always a game I've never heard of on here.
But a quick one, do you have a lost of all the songs you use on your vids? The two if love to know are the intro song and the second song, I recognise them but don't know where from 😂
greetings and best wishes from Brasil, keeping doing that amazing work
Fantasy Life was so great. So many things to do ans an incredible story.
Yeah, the story was great! But also the connections in gameplay. I remember starting as a Tailor and having this galaxy brain moment of noticing that every job is connected
Yeah it's true that it makes sense. Congrats on the designers for coming up with how these side quests work.
The art style and lack of advertisement did that.
I just bought it from my family dollar it was 1 dollar lol
How the Dillon series didn't make it to the switch surprises me
One of my hidden gems is Heroes of Ruin it's a great 3ds game that had it all: 3D, wifi and online 4 player dungeon crawling, voice communication through your mic, online leaderboards etc etc. Only downside was that it burned trough you 3ds battery like a mouse trough cheese. But I enjoyed playing trough the game with a frien online and offline. It's like diablo only on a 3ds. Also the lore was super cheesy. And it got repetitive after a point.
Fantasy life is def one of my fav game on the 3ds.
I’ll second that!
I see the right side banner has indeed been lost. Sad to see it go.

Protect Me Knight/Gotta Protectors is slept on so hard by so many people. I loved playing the game back on the Xbox 360 and couldn’t wait for the 3DS sequel to come out. Unfortunately the series isn’t as much as a hit as I see it as though :/
Thanks for putting one of my favorites in here. It means a lot.
Fantasy Life just got a sequel announced
Thank you for the games recommendations, most of them are not in my radar since i just recently got my 3DS
Why am I watching this? I don't even have a DS. Maybe I just love the narrators voice and the nice background music.

I haven't seen it on any lists, but Tales of the Abyss is one of the best real-time JRPGs on 3DS.

@@ChibiKami They did keep the skits in but unfortunately no Japanese dub nor did they voice the skits. I think the 3DS version is better than the PS2 version since they put a little more context from the Japanese version.

Iron Fall also deserved more support , very good Gameplay and graphics (one of the Best on the 3DS) , many people criticized that it was a Gear of war rip off , but the thing is it was actually a good third person shooter, the only one on the 3DS with this style of Gameplay.

this is indeed a list of 3ds games nobody talks about
Fairune (series) - it is Hylide but with modern gaming sensibilities to make it a shot and tight polished gaming experience.
Aww I thought I’d see Ketzal’s Corridors in this collection ;w;
Still a really good video either way, was excited to see Codename S.T.E.A.M. ^^

Absolutely LOVE this channel, but HATE that I have to spend money buying these games I didn’t know about ☹️ How was you able to capture 3DS footage, it looks amazing!
Haha thanks Nate! Sorry about the wallet though 😅
It's not capture, it's emulation.
From the skybox in the Dillon section, it looks like it was emulated. It’s really hard to capture good quality 3DS footage through any other method.
So many awesome games for the 3ds great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just wondering, is there a reason why you don’t have the title of the game pasted in the corner during the whole clip like you did in other vids? I used to really like it, it helped me remember titles to check out and was easier to screenshot for later. But I understand if there’s an added benefit to not having them.
Great list btw, love all your vids, and you have amazing taste! I trust your recommendations whole heartedly!
To this day I'm looking for a game like a fantasy life to fill the void that the game left me once I finish it 😭

Fans of Fantasy Life should check out Kitaria Fables for modern platforms - while not identical it does share enough in common that those who loved Level 5's classic would love this as well.
16:32 part 2 coming out soon. Two years later...
I need to get rage of the gladiator
Code Name Steam is easily one of the most underrated Nintendo game ever made.
Ironfall invasion not talked about? When its one of the games used to access homebrew and modding on the 3ds?
Any suggestions? Im looking for RPG game that you can customise your character. With armors, swords and many more. Variety of classes and not a turn base game. (Android, 3ds, Ps2)
Great video, I even discovered some games I didn't knew myself, you should talk about 7th Dragon on the next part, that's a title I've literally never heard anyone talking about.
Glad you found something new!
7th Dragon almost warrants a history video on its own thanks to its complex market identity. It's not as bad as, say, Megami Tensei, but still
the first game on DS is the brainchild of Rieko Kodama (Phantasy Star)
7th Dragon 2020 on PSP is less a sequel and more a reimagining, itself getting a sequel in 7th Dragon 2020-II
7th Dragon III Code VFD on 3DS is actually a sequel to 2020-II
luckily every game in the series has been translated to English in one form or another
I enjoyed all these games i even bought some of them a couple of times for example the first game in the video I bought it for my Wii and 3ds and my phone
Ironfall Invasion looks cool!
I wish I had every different platform adventure action fantasy genre games in the 3ds franchise for my collection I still have 55 games as for now in my collection I still need more
What I got from this is rage if the gladiators. Didn't know there was a port. Thanks. 😊
loved Fantasy Life. it was so fun with friends
Such a solid RPG!
