  • Brand new product from Sonoff is this Zigbee presence sensor. Instead of the less realiable PIR sensor, it uses a radar presence sensor combined with a light sensor. This provides more accurate presence detection, even if there is very small movement.

    Hi thank for this, I got one (SNZB-06P) as well recently and the range on this one is less that the previous version (SNZB-03)
    This one only starts seeing me around 3 or 4 meters away. Where the other easely spots motion 6 or 7 meters away. The other slight annoyance is that SNZB-06P needs a power source.

    Interesting person sensor. I have built a few radar sensors and the battery life is always an issue. Will be interesting to see the price on this.

    I bought a SNZB-06, that I try to use with a Sonoff ZigBee Bridge. In the application I do not have the option "sensitivity" and the "detection duration". Does anyone have such a problem like me?

    How do these companies expect to be taken seriously with a bodge like the cable coming out of the side? Why not out of the back in to the base so it can be routed in a wall out of sight.

    • @csongorvarga

      It is not ideal, but having a connection on the back would only allow installation in new homes. Lot of people live in rentals where no distructive install is the only way.

    I am the only one having serious issues with sonoff ZigBee sensors ? I have a zigbee hub pro and a few SNZB-03 and SNZB-02,... 6 ZigBee devices in total. If I put new batteries and reconnect everything it works for max a week and after that the sensor disconnect and never connect back on theirs own, only if i delete and repair them. It's not a batterie issue, the sensor still reacts to motion for ex, because the LED inside the sensor is still blinking. The distance cannot be an issue because they are not far from each other + it works just fine for the first few days. I got replacements from Sonoff, I put al the devices in a drawer with the hub, same result, they disconnect after a few days. WHY "???????

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  9 місяців тому +2

      Very strange. Nowadays I either use the iHost or the NS Panel Pro as a zigbee hub and I am not having any issue. Having said that I have a different zigbee network running 24/7, but the NSPanel Pro is on for a few days now with the old and new motion sensors and old and new temp sensors and everything is OK. May the problem is the zigbee hub.

      I have quite a few 03's and no issues (I can't remeber the last time I replaced batteries); however they are connected via the Sonoff 3.0 dongle and ZHA .The Sonoff hub is flashed as router and does its job that way. Likely the issues is with the hub.

      same issues with sonoff wifi devices. I restart every second night my router automatically.

    • @netblue
      @netblue 9 місяців тому

      @IvanAgh it must be your router. I have 4 wi-fi switches and about 8 other sonof devices(smart plugs, switches) integrated in Home Assistant via the local integration (not cloud) and they worked flawlessly for 2 years. I would also ensure you run a dedicated 2.4 GHZ only wifi network for your IoT devices.

      @@netblue I run 2.4 GHz, other are not supported. I run via cloud. Have two separate users, because one cannot be used in case I connect from computer and mobile phone, or home assistant. I have had use them at two locations (with different routers), and the same behaviour. Nevermind I can exist with autorestart of router.
