Chief Scientist Presents: Sexual needs of long-term psychiatric patients and the staff receptivity

In the framework of the Chief Scientist Presents webinar series, Dr. Tal Peleg- Sagy, a clinical psychologist and licensed sex therapist, and Adi Zehavi present their research on the mapping of the sexual needs and necessities of long-term psychiatric patients and the staff's positions towards these needs and the tools or support they require to cope with this.
Sexuality is one of the basic human rights. When talking about psychiatric patients, there is a need to carefully balance between their rights to healthy sexuality and the right to be protected and secure - for them and their surroundings.
