Quinta gets props for saying to Jennifer, “We don’t have to go there if you don’t want to.” I get why the producers were trying to create that buzzworthy moment, but I also appreciate Quinta’s willingness to derail it for Jennifer’s sake. It’s nice to see people take care of each other like that. This was a charming pairing.

An angry parent, yes! I can totally see her being the “my child wouldn’t possibly do that” or “my child deserves this special treatment” sort of parent! Or even a faculty member at Addington Elementary alongside Melissa’s sister. Or even being a substitute teacher at Abbott. But Keenan Keegan-Michael Key is perfect as the superintendent already; the way he essentially says “if it’s not free, the district isn’t interested” is, unfortunately, soooo accurate!

I'm the actor who plays the Coney Island character in The Morning Show that Quinta talks about at 3:30. I was floored that she mentioned the scene, and that Variety also included footage of me. It was such a joy to shoot... Jennifer and Jon could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. The whole crew made me feel right at home and it was a fantastic experience!

This is one if not the best Actors On Actors conversation I’ve seen. They both looked genuinely interested in each other’s work, it was clear that they took their time to inform themselves and watch each other’s show and that helped the conversation flow smoothly. AND most importantly, neither of them was self-centered, they both took the time to listen to what the other was saying.
Exactly my thoughts! The conversation were smooth, both Jen and Quinta were able to express their minds without sounding forced or bored. I mean, go watch Kim K and THE Chloe Sevigny's episode, it's just so cringey.
It's so amazing seeing a young actress, producer and writer like Quinta get to talk in depth about the job she gets to do succesfully now, with a predecessor that instilled all of that in her.

They shouldn’t have pushed Quinta to ask Jen about Friends, they knew what they were doing, it was insensitive, she was so empathetic and respectful, but she clearly felt bad when Jen started crying. It obviously wasn’t a good moment for them.
Jen would have known those questions were coming. They don't go into these blind. Quinta met Brad at an awards event. Off-limits
@@carolandrews9406 Still. It was an insensitive question and both of them were upset about it. They were having such a nice conversation and then the producers decided to do that knowing that it was a sensitive topic for Jen and it probably would make her emotional/uncomfortable, even Quinta looked uncomfortable that they put her in that position and didn't want to ask her that, but she handled it well because she's empathetic and unlike the producers she wasn't looking for that reaction to get clicks.
It would have been bizarre if she hadn’t asked.

It’s telling of Quinta’s empathy that she knew not to ask that question before she was prodded to. You can tell she has such an emotional intelligence.
To see Jennifer start crying just the mention of friends made me cry. Love her so much!

The woman off camera @ 31:46 who urged Quinta to ask Jen about Friends now should take a good, long look at herself in the mirror and ask herself why she thought that question was necessary. She knew exactly what kind of reaction that would elicit and Quinta deserves all the praise for how she handled that.
But also, it is the 30th year anniversary of the show's premiere. It would've been weird for her not to ask.

i so wish that they didn't ask jennifer that question, but media will be media. i loved the way that quinta held space for her and the light jokes they made for each other after that. i didn't know that they had such a wonderful relationship and i'm glad we got almost 40 minutes of it here.
What I most enjoy about this one is: both are generous as people and eager to compliment and listen to the other. Also, they are talking about the business and the craft.
I LOVE Quinta sitting in her power and using it in that moment to PROTECT her “elder” and a person who broke ground for her in the industry. You see how she accomplished so much so quickly. She knows the production of this interview needs her and Jen more than the other way around, and they can do the interview on their terms at all times, and she uses that to create space for someone to be a human with a body existing and feeling. Love it. ❤

Quinta was so amazing for looking out for Jen when asked about Matthew… grief is no joke. It boils over so fast, I know just what went through Jen’s body when asked that, it’s literally a physical reaction. It really hits you like a tidal wave.. she handled that so well, I wanted to give her a hug 🥺♥️
It’s just a little over 6 months ago too so it’s fresh still. I can even start crying about it watching interviews like this and I didn’t know him personally, so very understandable. Glad she handled the tears respectfully and didn’t push

The level of engagement, respect and understanding they shared and bounced off one another is so beautiful. You can tell how much they admire one another and respect the differences/ similarities, in their craft throughout their respective generations, yet still come back to the same way of seeing things. Great edifying back and forth.

I didn’t know Quinta before, so I watched this Interview just bc of Jennifer Aniston (cause I’m a huge fan) but I have to tell I just love them together, they definitely have a connection. And Quinta is so kind especially when they wanted her to ask Jen about friends and she started to cry, Quinta took such good care of her. Two very kind, sweet and nice actresses I gotta say

jen and quinta are a fabulous match, i LOVED that you can tell both of them has real love for comedy and deep curiosity and appreciation for each others' work. both being inspired by older sitcoms, being able to appreciate the work made by crew whose work often goes unseen by us regular folk, recognizing the importance of tone, heart, from the overarching themes to even the most minute details. tbh jen is not the most eloquent speaker on interviews but this pairing really brought a lot of insight out of her, it's really great to see. and obviously quinta is just major, she has done the work! lovely interview and a must watch for real comedy heads
Jennifer is my favorite actress. The Good Girl, Derailed, Just Go with It, RockStar, Marley & Me, We’re the Millers, Bruce Almighty, Cake, The Break Up and of course FRIENDS are her greatest projects. I need this woman to win an Oscar one day!

Listening to how Quinta grew up with all things comedy says a lot about how she was destined to do Abbott. She was able to pull off all the tactics/techniques from the comedies of the past, but the rapid-fire punchlines are what keeps me coming back for more of Abbott. Plus it's a mockumentary format is what makes it more immersive and amplifies the hilarity of the dialogues. What stood out for me in this chat is how Quinta adores Jen so much to the point that she can recite Jen's entire acting catalog for days. Such a sweetie. And damn - Jen on Abbott? Bring it.

I love Jennifer Aniston so much! Not only is she beautiful, but she's so warm and engaging. She always seems genuinely interested in other humans during this and all her interviews. Like she seems like she could be your best friend, even though she's way out of anyone's league! She has such a big heart, and I love that she cries so easily (even though obviously I don't want her to cry.) She wears her amazing heart on her sleeve. She's absolutely BEAUTIFUL inside and out!

I’m so glad to see Quinta where she’s at. I’ve been following her since she first started making videos with Buzzfeed & I often times only watched their videos for HER. She is such an awesome, powerful, beautiful, & compassionate soul & she deserves ALL the best things. She’s one of the very few celebrities I feel *genuinely* deserve where they’re at.
Jen is great too & I’ve loved watching her grow in her career & in herself. She’s a beautiful woman & while she can be a bit out of touch sometimes, she’s remained relatively grounded considering how long she’s been in the industry & everything she’s been through.

When I first started watching Friends, ‘Rachel’ was my least favorite character. The more I watched, she became absolutely hilarious! I LOVED watching her and ‘Chandler’ in scenes together. Especially that cheesecake episode! Lol.. Quinta’s so sweet and genuine. This was a great conversation.
