From Everlypedia: Even If I Hold It In My Hand (composed by Don Everly) Recorded January 6th 1967 but remained in the vaults, likely due to its dark and suicidal lyric, until the release of Take 2 in 1994's Heartaches and Harmonies. This version is Take 10 from Chained To A Memory (2006).

This is a big surprise to me again !
Lyrics are sort of dark, but tune itself is very stylish n pop. Don’s songwriting talent is worth praising.
I also like Take 2.

I really like both this and the boppier Take 2. I love listening to the different takes and versions of their songs as they experimented with their sound. 'Nancy's Minuet' is a good example of this. It provides a great insight into their vocal talents and the sensational session players they were always blessed to have on hand - especially in Nashville.
