that's probably not entirely accidental. Miss Langtrey is based off the "Gibson Girl" character, which was a common look for young women around late Victorian to Edwardian times - the same time that the Mrs drawing presumably takes place.
Fun episode. I also really like the funny fade-in/outs the editor made, like the mayo and the "Hi Nathan" sign in the beginning, "You have worried the Mrs!". Big fan of silent editor jokes.
From what I know from being a history nerd and a film sister, the film arriving at station reacted but like little jumps or shooked at first, like how people playing in vr will jump even though they know everything is fake. Definitely not running out of the theatre
I've heard that, too. It makes sense, especially when you consider that real life did, in fact, have color back then. Bit of a giveaway. If you want to make 1890s moviegoers shit their pants, you gotta time-travel back with some quality, full-color, high-def train footage. Commit to the bit.
What confuses me is that in the film, the train isn't even coming towards the camera; the camera is safely on the platform. Assuming these people were familiar with trains, a train pulling into a station isn't even a startling image. So why would they be startled by a film of it?
Hey Drawfee folks I just wanna take a minute to express my gratitude. I've been going through a tough time lately and Drawfee episodes and streams have really really been helping me. I've been having a heightened bout of trauma-related anxiety the last few months, and also missed some doses of testosterone (lots of reasons, I'm back on a steady dose now) so the hormone fluxuations have been really adding to it. I also have non-24 sleep disorder so half the time I'm on nocturnal hours and it can be really isolating and lonely. Basically Drawfee has been helping me get my mind off things, help ground me, and (yes, parasocial relationships etc etc) helping me feel less alone during the times I'm basically by myself for a week because I'm on opposite sleep schedules to most everybody else. The platform and space you guys have cultivated around it has been such a source of escape and a good option to lean on when I'm feeling out of sorts (don't worry, I'm in therapy, I don't put all my eggs in one basket--to me media like this isn't a solution, I use it more as a tool among many to help respond to distress.) I've been a Drawfee fan since like 2016 and a patreon member for a few years now. Recently it's been exactly what I needed to have a place I can come to feel welcomed, that's trans-affirming (I can't quantify how helpful that's been recently,) and where people are going to be lovingly silly and I can laugh and feel kinda normal and safe and grounded for a while. (**edited for typos)
I've been in the hospital for a couple of days with no idea how much longer I'll be staying and let me tell you: this is such a welcome break from all the stress! Thank you! ❤
When I saw "Do not challenge works" i imagined someone ordered a burger 🍔 with "THE WORKS" and gets upset to find the works includes pineapple but doesn't include onions, so he wants to complain but can't because of the sign.
Lag b’Omer just ended and Shavuos is coming up, so you know that that means! Nathan should describe Jewish holidays vaguely to the rest of the Drawfee gang! I want to see Jacob’s take on Sukkot, aka Shake A Lemon At God Week! Karina’s take on Purim, aka Drunken Crossdressing and Murder Celebration Day, would also be amazing
Yom Kippur, the day of fasting and smelling stinky. But honestly, just describing one holiday by it's food traditions alone would be interesting. Like apples dipped in honey and throwing pieces of bread into a river.
The first sign I know from experience to be necessary. In a part of my misspent youth there were an absolutely catastrophic series of misadventures during a Parisian holiday with friends, leading through several police stations, medical facilities, and an unusual number of railway fires. Near the end of this sequence of events it was apparently my turn in the ambulance, and because apparently our mutual parents had just started to hear about what was happening. I decided to do the right thing and send an extremely efficient update on the situation and suggestions for next steps to my mother, in the form of a text message reading "In Hospital. Don't worry." But did she Don't Worry? No. No, she did not in fact Don't Worry. Clearly, a sign like this would have been essential in her household.
Please give the super Crown (Peachette / Bowsette) to video game characters of your choice. We all need to see which Silent Hill character Julia gives it to. Four years, and still asking!
SAME… I need to know and simply cannot be bothered to do it myself. Checked the QR code that flashed and it was a merch store plug but that’s the extent of my effort here lol.
I've been messing with the audio extract to try to isolate it, but I can't get a version without some pieces of Nathan's voice which makes hearing the stops very difficult. If anyone knows the trick on how to totally isolate a specific frequency from a sound file, the beep is around 530hz. I'd appreciate advice!
Nathan bailed and simultaneously completed the Dispatch reference in an impressive way. Nathan is such an ideal comedian in that he almost never prioritizes people hearing or understanding his bits.
It's funny how you mentioned the TV show ghosts, because i just saw a video about that a few hours ago. Also props to david to actually put the Morse Code in (i haven't translates it but i assume it's correct).
drawing suggestion: make up new experiments from lilo and stitch! most of them have names but not descriptions so it'd be up to you to decide what experiments such as snarfhonk, b.v. beaverton, and noidster would look like.
Nathan's video bit is the new "Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, you’ll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- you’ll do, you could- you, you want, you want him to do you so much you could do anything?"
Suggestion: you should try drawing Discworld characters based on their names or descriptions! There are so many incredible characters, like Nobby Nobbs, Moist von Lipwig, and the Hogfather! These are my favourite books, and I think they could always use more love 🥰 GNU Terry Pratchett
Do a Drawfee beach episode! The best kind of filler show with you favorite characters doing summer themed things, making sand castles, chilling under umbrellas, burying someone in sand. Maybe a large scene or connected story.
I thought Mrs was scrambling to open a door (to escape?) while trying to maintain her composure/keeping an eye on the threat, the way it ended up caught me completely off guard it was wonderful 😌
It's amazing how much of the show has little to nothing to do with drawing anything. The drawings are usually dependant upon the improv rather than the other way around. It's transcend from commentary to stream of consciousness. It's the freeform creativity where it's just a bunch of people trying stuff and building off each other to incredible effect.

that's probably not entirely accidental. Miss Langtrey is based off the "Gibson Girl" character, which was a common look for young women around late Victorian to Edwardian times - the same time that the Mrs drawing presumably takes place.
When you won at Discus against the statue, the Old Greeks believed you would go to a special type of Heaven they called "Discus Elysium"
I've had The General stuck in my head for the last week, and I appreciate what you were doing, Nathan.
I wondered whether I was the only one who got that reference 😅
And I have discovered that this bit is not worth fighting.
i love The Mrs. so much, she portrays a level of stress that i feel most every day due to the unfortunate fact that i do live in a society 💔
I didn't expect Mr and Mrs to be my new favorite drawfee ocs but they are I need more lore on them pls
6:39 a horror game where you're stressed because you dont want to make someone else stressed
that's called living with social anxiety babyyyy
I love Jacob's muppety characters today!
Hey Drawfee folks
I just wanna take a minute to express my gratitude.
The platform and space you guys have cultivated around it has been such a source of escape and a good option to lean on when I'm feeling out of sorts (don't worry, I'm in therapy, I don't put all my eggs in one basket--to me media like this isn't a solution, I use it more as a tool among many to help respond to distress.)
I've been a Drawfee fan since like 2016 and a patreon member for a few years now.
Thank you! ❤
I hope this episode did not worry Mx.! Hope your hospital visit goes as well as possible.
A horror game about making someone else uncomfortable feels like a personal attack lol
When I saw "Do not challenge works" i imagined someone ordered a burger 🍔 with "THE WORKS" and gets upset to find the works includes pineapple but doesn't include onions, so he wants to complain but can't because of the sign.
Nathan's ARG video bit made me laugh out loud for the first time since forever, thank you very much!
31:30
Lag b’Omer just ended and Shavuos is coming up, so you know that that means! Nathan should describe Jewish holidays vaguely to the rest of the Drawfee gang! I want to see Jacob’s take on Sukkot, aka Shake A Lemon At God Week! Karina’s take on Purim, aka Drunken Crossdressing and Murder Celebration Day, would also be amazing
Amazing spectacular perfect. I need this
I would pay money for this. I mean, I don't have money, but I do like seeing my culture represented
PLEASE, I NEED THIS
Yom Kippur, the day of fasting and smelling stinky.
But honestly, just describing one holiday by it's food traditions alone would be interesting. Like apples dipped in honey and throwing pieces of bread into a river.
I strongly support this. If there was a way to double-thumbs up I would.
Don't worry."
But did she Don't Worry? No. No, she did not in fact Don't Worry.
Clearly, a sign like this would have been essential in her household.
I tried passing the discus, but this dingus was too worried about his bingus
I know everyone's probably focused on the ARG, but I'm just ecstatic that Julia watches my favorite TV show
sameeee!
Please give the super Crown (Peachette / Bowsette) to video game characters of your choice. We all need to see which Silent Hill character Julia gives it to. Four years, and still asking!
Normal Things
four years is a full US presidential term! soon you'll have to run again if you want to keep asking
Pyramid Head one time 🤞🏻
Give up?
It was so much fun watching U TURN these signs into cool drawings. Thats certainly ONE WAY to spend an afternoon.
I wish it would never STOP!
Jacob makes such nice shapely characters!
Can’t wait for someone to be very kind and translate that morse code at about 30:30
SAME… I need to know and simply cannot be bothered to do it myself.
@@caseykoonsIt's just a link to their merch store like the QR code, as others have noted.
Nothing better than the improv of Drawfee. I have never been more imersed.
I think it’s adorable that when Nathan does the intro he takes out the “your” in “your dumb ideas”
Id like to challenge the works because that man's discus form is horrendous and also defying gravity
Bingus out ultimate frisbee sounds like the most ancient greek thing ive ever heard.
Whenever Julia says she has to get something in before chat/the comments say it, you can be sure it's not something that the comments would've said.
hey that link Jacob said randomly at 30:50 actually works! That's awesome. Love these guys.
David putting that code flash thing in during the arg bit actually made my body react like I was jumpscared.
12:57 I actually had my jaw clenched while drawing along, thank you.
drawing suggestion: make up new experiments from lilo and stitch! most of them have names but not descriptions so it'd be up to you to decide what experiments such as snarfhonk, b.v. beaverton, and noidster would look like.
+
Nathan's video bit is the new "Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, you’ll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- you’ll do, you could- you, you want, you want him to do you so much you could do anything?"
Suggestion: you should try drawing Discworld characters based on their names or descriptions! There are so many incredible characters, like Nobby Nobbs, Moist von Lipwig, and the Hogfather!
These are my favourite books, and I think they could always use more love 🥰
GNU Terry Pratchett
GNU Terry Pratchett
We'd need to see Julia's take on the Things from the Dungeon Dimensions. 😁
Ooh. Soon. I would like to watch this one sooooooonnnn.
GNU Terry Pratchett
45:50 - The end card makes it look like Mrs. is lusting after the discus statue 😂
The intos never stop getting better
Big Bart looks like he's eating the medium's speech bubble; what a legend.
nathan i'm a huge dispatch fan and i greatly appreciate that bit
You know when you're enjoying your meal concept and someone ruins your beverage experience?
