A minor detail in the trailer: in the Fallout universe, the nuclear war happened just before Halloween. I checked: the date the Great War happened was: October 23, 2077. Halloween is on October 31. At about 2:28 of the trailer, the ghoul is sitting in an old store, AND you can see the store still has Jack-o'-lantern pumpkins on a store shelf to the left. So the store was selling Halloween merchandises when the nuclear hit.
@@that_guy_from_the_internetThe world in the Fallout universe diverged from ours. For example: transistors were barely invented and never widely adopted in the world of Fallout, miniaturization has never become popular before the Great War happened, which is why most everything used big conductors and tubes.
I’m not even mad, I just want you to play it right after watching this! Fallout 3 & New Vegas are the GOATS. Fallout4 has its problems but overall still a very good game, the one I actually played the most after mods fixed a lot of problems and expanded on the settlement aspect of the game
They are hoping for people like you, it won't do enough numbers with just people like me who have played almost 8000 hours of Fallou4 or the other games.
It looks really great. I got really hyped when I realized Lucy is played by Jinx's VA from Arcane heh. My first thought after the trailer was hoping we were going to see an arc as she grew into a badass and that last scene here looks like that's the direction they're going. Hope so anyway. Cheers!
Yesss! Ella Purnell is so good! I liked her a lot in Yellowjackets, too. I reckon she’s totally going to become a badass. Once it has all set in that the outside isn’t as easy as they all imagined it would be. Very hyped for this one!
life long fan, bought fallout1 in 97 at a a young age was hooked ever since at 35 i can say this, The games stray atmosphere of weird is here, the teaser gave a worry THIS, is pure fallout with a feeling of stakes, factions maybe partners to a means or friendship that could form and weirdness that only existed in fallout before. and with a hidden enemy out there and the NCR flag in the background. This sets up a very VERY big battle for New California from 3 factions including a prewar action start turn ghoul who even made Ads for Vault tech but never got into one. there's allot of story here and I feel that's what fallout had lacked in 4 and a possibility of anything, could happen? Well that is finally a breath of fresh air in a fallout universe setting.
Todd Howard said he wanted to avoid dramatizing any of the games, so, this is the same universe, but, an all new story & characters. So, it's most likely not Dogmeat.
Wouldn't be possible to be Dogmeat, that was set in Boston, this series seems to be set in L.A from what they showed. As @niklasekelof7319 said, it's most likely the typical 'Lone Wanderer' style, but I am sure it was inspired by FO4, as they used the same breed.
@@jessiegreen619 I think Fallout 4 was 10 years after Fallout 3 and 6 years after New Vegas. Fallout 3: 2277 FNV: 2281 Fallout 4: 2287 So, it will supposedly set in 2296?
I think the guy who did the advertisement for Vault-Tec at the start of the trailer is also the ghoul. Which means he could not afford a spot in a vault or did not get to one when the nukes hit.
I was thinking something similar. Because during some of the later scenes you can see him running, carrying what I assume is his child. My theory is his plot is gonna be kind of similar to the Vault-Tec guy who speaks with you at the start of Fallout 4, in that he was maybe promised a place in the Vault, and he couldn't get himself and his family there in time and he was the only survivor, so now he is vengeful against Vault-Tec.
He's in scenes kissing a black woman and carrying a mixed girl as the mushroom cloud goes up, so he was outside with his family during the attack. When he's in the Super-duper mart watching himself on TV he's wearing cowboy gear, firing a shotgun but he still has his human face so its pre-blast. I'd say he's an actor with experience in westerns who was hired as a spokesman for vault-tec
I think he has a spot in the vault and the woman and the girl are his wife & daughter. He is very clearly an actor they paid to sell vaults since you can see him watching some of his old work before the bombs as a ghoul, not an actual Vault-Tec rep like the one in Falliut 4. Since he is seen kissing the woman inside a vault from the looks of it, I’m going to guess they got there early to ensure their spot and find out their daughter went back home for something she forgot. You see him running and holding her while in a vault suit with the mushroom cloud in the background. I think he fails to get back to the vault in time, his daughter dies in the literal fallout from the blast and he is immediately transformed into his ghoul form.
I have only played Fallout 4 (admittedly not even progressed as far as I would like on the main quest), but this show looks like they nailed it. And it looks like they're steering clear of previous games in a new area, which is great!
This show is so Fallout accurate, it couldn't be any better for fans. Sometimes we just accept cinematic adjustments of game adaptations, but this show goes all in on the feel of the games. The newer gen of them anyway. 3, New Vegas, 4 & 76.
I really hope this is good, this is the kinda aesthetic I’m really into like apocalyptic but still fun, and if this show doesn’t succeed sadly fallout will be over since 76 didn’t launch well
I can’t wait too watch it 😄,I was late too playing Fallout I heard of them but never played them til Fallout 4 came out and i spent hundreds of hours playing it lol I just hope they don’t rush anything eg introducing characters, creatures, factions and weapons I want this too be a multi season show 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.I really want too see the super mutants,Deathclaws
I’m super excited for it, but of course you have that one crowd that is so obsessed with people pushing the wok agenda they become the agenda themselves 😂
I don't get why people keep thinking this is THE dogmeat.... Like.... no. Completely different parts of the country, different times. It's just a dog. Cause people loved Dogmeat in FO4 so they put a dog in this.
I think your viewers would benefit more if you spent 2+ more minutes sharing your afterthoughts. That way, we can gauge more of what you really think. Yes, you've shared your initial thoughts throughout, but there is something more when you give your afterthoughts at the end. It does extend the video, and for reactions like this, it isn't so bad if you did. It was still a good reaction.
It might be because you're not well-known yet. That's why I haven't subscribed. It's not hate or an attack, just a reality, I guess? But we both know UA-cam will serve your content to me again in the future. And I'll watch it. I still stick with what I said because I really do enjoy the post-talks the most. I wholeheartedly wish you the best. @@GalaxyAUS

@@ktchong5800 It's what's called retro-futurism. Fallout is essentially the future as they imagined it in the 40s and 50s
