  • Oleksandr Kryvobok, an associate professor at the Nizhyn Mykola Gogol State University, researches the occupation survival tactics of rural residents of the Ichnia hromada of Chernihiv region. Ichnia, located in the southern part of Chernihiv region, was one of the main logistical routes of the Russian army. Oleksandr’s project is focused on oral testimonies and aims to compare how the residents coped with the occupation and the tragic fire at a military warehouse in 2018, which also affected many hromadas.
In this video, Oleksandr Kryvobok talks about finding personnel for the project, the challenges of field work, and presenting the results of the research.
