- Dubai is full of scammers targeting tourists! Don't believe all the professional beggars you'll meet on the streets there. I bump into one in Bur Dubai and show you his exact script, then explain the difference between professional beggars and corner beggars run by gangs.
Beggars are sent to Dubai en masse just before Ramadam every year to pray on Muslims' goodwill during this time. Col Mohammad Akeel says, “Most of the beggars were visitors. They come down during Ramadan for easy money as they know people here are helpful and sympathetic. We have a team of officers to crack down on beggars at residential areas and near mosques." (Gulf News)
Bur Dubai is by far the worst place to experience scams in Dubai. You'll find beggars, magic potion sellers, counterfeit goods sellers, fake gold scammers, "massage" parlours galore, and more all at Meena Bazaar.
I reported this man to the Dubai Police afterwards. Report beggars by calling Dubai Police on 901 or Al Ameen Service on 800 4888. Report online via www.ecrime.ae or Police Eye in the Dubai Police app.
Only donate to registered charities in Dubai. Charities are regulated in UAE so you can have faith your money is going to good use.

Sad to say part of it is because hes white/Gora and has a decent camera setup Im guessing and looks like an easy target. And they assume he's rich by default because of his skin color/being a foreigner. unfortunately for them he speaks fluent hindi, if he didn't they would eat him alive and dry out his bank accounts, which sadly happens a lot to foreign travellers. I wiouldn't feel comfortable going to india if I didn't speak the language, or atleast had someone I could trust with me who did

I actually called a scammer out. And warned a tourist about it. And 3 or 4 of em surrounded me. I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed 611 and kept it on the ready.
After an entire day of these people bugging me I was tired and wanted to alert a sweet family.
And they said sorry lowered their voices and ran away. I didn't want to cause harm to them. And I told them not to harm others too. They are here to enjoy and spend their hard earned money let that family of 5 be. I hope the family was more cautious from that point on.

As a local, we never face situations like tourists do which is sad tbh.. they seem to be very comfortable with tourists knowing that worst case would be walking away with nothing unlike us they know for a fact we wont let it slide, always report once they leave just to be safe, illegal immigrants don't fear anything

@@malikialgeriankabyleswag4200 like karl said in the vid, the police is doing a very good job about this but also at the same time like he said, they themselves get scammed by agencies in their own countries by fake agencies telling them they will get jobs in dubai but these agencies only take money from them then give them tourist visas that expire really quickly and then theyre stuck to do this until they get caught.. so from one side police takes care of one or two and from the other side these fake agencies bring 10-15 others, the real scammers are these fake agencies in my opinion and their countries are the ones doing a bad job of not doing anything about these agencies tbh.. the uae government cant possibly stop people from coming you know

In Kuwait we have scammers but they get caught by the police quickly. There are many charity organizations in the gulf that anyone who pretends to beg is a scammer 90% of the time

The way that I always shut them down quickly is by telling them that I have some work for them to do if they want the money, like cutting grass or painting the garage. Try it and see how quickly they'll walk away.
I use this too. Ill tell them I can give them a job. They will run. They work harder to not work.

When beggars tell me they need money for food, or gas, or a hotel, whatever. I say, "Oh, OK. Let's go to the grocery/gas station/hotel and I'll pay for it directly, no problem." That's when they start cussing at me, because I've called their bluff 100%. Never fails.

The audacity of these scammers😂😂 My health is bad I'm severely anemic and I still work 50 hours a week. It is so hard for me to fight to have enough energy so I am careful with my money. I will never give my money away no matter the story.
