PSR rules incentivise selling home grown talent only if a club has spent money poorly. Arsenal have lived beyond thier means for years, and we've signed players up to unsellable contracts. We've had to sell Smith Rowe because he's homegrown and, unlike Nketiah and Nelson, on a reasonable contract. I know it’s all about the EPL but Arteta needs to actually focus on winning a trophy…any trophy. Be it the FA or Carling cup or UCL. He needs to instill that trophy mentality into this group so they can have the exp of actually winning. Klopp is a great manager - better than Arteta even - but he only won the EPL ONCE with Pep around. Apart from the EPL, he won other stuff like the Carling or UCL. That’s why Liverpool have had that dog mentality for the past decade. Arsenal need that to one up Pep because until he leaves City, the EPL is a definite shoe-in for him.

The short answer is no
anyone else then?
Arsenal are missing that maverick player that can change the balance of a game - someone like Sanchez. Either someone like that or a target man striker would complete this team
No. Not until they buy a 20 goal a season forward.
If Havertz takes all the penalties he gets 20 goals in a season
winger can do 16g, 10A; havertz as a CF performed so well i think near 1g/a per game when he's in CF; oodegard + rice both can get you 8-10; i think we have attacking options but god i hope we can have more trust in our LW bc trossard won't have such an explosive start off the bench like he did last season
@@nathan-in9qf I don't think Arsenal can expect to be so tight defensively again so they need a top striker.
@@TheAce1137 He won't get 20 league goals. He's not that player.
@@dontbewoke Brother he got 13 without taking penalties and playing half the season in the midfield, open your eyes and leave the agenda behind
I think it will depend on whether Arsenal will buy a killer CF before the end of transfer window, I don't think Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus can get them over the line.
*RE EDIT
I think it will depend on whether Arteta will finally buy a killer CF before the end of transfer window to replace his 2 disaster signings Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus who he wasted 110m on but can't get them over the line.
You're welcome xx
115 hurdles to negotiate .
115 new excuses to think up for 5 trophy less seasons on the bounce after spending over 750m too
Good luck

NO. Arteta said two years ago "we need more firepower" and have since signed a load of defenders.
defense win championships
Arteta also said 4 years ago he's "winning the CL in 2023"
How did that go for him?
Topple who? ASSNA!
No
Nah
I keep hearing about Saka needing rest but never Odegaard, Saliba Gabriel, or Rice. People need to stop viewing him as a baby and look at him at the same level as the likes of Mbappe, Rodri, Vinicius Jr, Salah and Haaland. The best players in the world play every game. Unless you view Saka as a rotational piece and not a Ballon d'Or candidate. Then the hype needs to go down too.
Without a new striker we are going no where
says who?
😂 i do agree..wer still ahort of some areas..a stricker..typical lethal 9..wibger and a midfilder n let nketiah nelsons kiwor n partey out ..n wer wld be gd to go..or else we will struggle
Alvarez is ‘lethal’? Lmao
Its not optics point of view. Football is for winning and they haven't done so yet
There's always controversy. The title is rigged. Look at the last four games for Arsenal and City last season. Yet those games were determining the championship. So you expect Spurs to beat City for Arsenal to become champions? Everton n Forest were docked points for the same crime as City, but were are still here waiting City's outcome.
City's case is completely different to Everton and Forest. Please educate yourself.
@@Rainer-8 The substance isn't about the similarity between City's charges and Everton and Forest, it's the speed at which others have been charged versus City's.
@@NayengaNelson Well that's because Everton and Forest ADMITTED to a small number of breaches and City DENIED the massive amount of breaches.
People like you make me laugh, the investigation took like 4 years but yet you want a decision in a weekend 😂 Just admit you don't understand the situation and you hate City.
@@Rainer-8 I don't hate City but I hate cheating. If City's a cheat then you should also hate them if you're a soccer fan other than just a fanatic city supporter.
Cheating kills competition and the game as a whole. Justice delayed is justice denied.
@@NayengaNelson So the Premier League can spend 4 years building their case but we're not allowed time to build our defence? Be honest you don't want justice you just want City out of the way?
If you care about cheating so much I hope you'll be outraged to find out that Man United were given substantially more money for their COVID allowance than any other club AND they would have failed PSR without that allowance. Very suspicious!
they have spent a large chunk more than city in the last 5 years, to say they are doing so with less budget is nonsense, and a partisanal opinion.
The host is a self confessed Arsenal fan
Ignoring the fact that Arsenal were barely a top four team 5 years ago. City were a financially doped powerhouse 5 years ago.
@@B1G_Dave Ignoring the fact Arsenal were a top 4 and title challenging team for a decade+ 20-30 years ago and City were mid-table at best, even getting relegated. The 'Bank of England' club should be the last to throw the term financially doped around.
@@Panjax Exactly, City have been financially doped.
So City didn’t pay for KDB,Bernardo,Ederson and others? City’s bench alone is worth £300m
Without a Striker , winger and 2 midfielders...NO.
Osimhen, Sane and Merino and its a 10/10 window
Arsenal maybe needs to win 33 games 3draws 2lose kind of season to win man city ....
Easy answer not a chance in hell
Arteta needs to look at a back 3
There's more chance of Eddie Nketiah winning the Ballon Dor than there is of Arteta winning a major trophy
Arteta has spent so much money yet yields no success. The media landscape however describie him like a messiah. Bizzare really.
Arsenal will never win the league again 😂
Same as your future promotions at work 😅😂😂
Well, you can dismiss it as much as you want.
Once we sign a striker, to end Manchester City's dominance once and for all.
The premier league is officially a farmers league
Arsenal wont make top 4 this year
Bad eggs 🥚 u will surely going to shame.
No. Thanks. Bye...
City challenge themselves, this fruad bottle fc club without a ucl and Pl for 25 years 😂
Nope!
"less financial strength"
Misinformation. Arsenal have spent a hell of alot more than City in the last 5,6,7,8 years
Comparison buying a machine to servicing a machine.
Arsenal will finish second with 114 points, while city wins again with 115.🫣
Arsenal can do it and we can do it.
