I have been "la la la lala" for decades in my head and out loud around the house. I'd do it in what I would now know is my best Animal voice and never knew where I heard it!! My husband and my kids all just attributed it to my craziness but, I knew I had heard it somewhere and could never put it together! I was up late tonight and found out that Google has an earwig song search!! I reluctantly "la la la lala" in the phone, as I picture someone on the other side laughing at my craziness, low and behold this video came up!!! Definitely a trip down memory stairs back to my childhood!! "See hubby!! I wasn't crazy and it did exist!!" Thanks for posting this!!
No, it was from a live concert that Julie put together with loads of entertainers for a benefit for Operation California, now Operation USA. It is a relief organization. She had just returned from a trip with them to Cambodia. The horrors she saw there convinced her to begin to donate and arrange things like this for Cambodian relief. It is detailed in her autobiography "HomeWork".
@@dontip222 "Sing" is a 1971 song written by Joe Raposo for the children's television show Sesame Street as its signature song. In 1973, it gained popularity when performed by the Carpenters, who made it a #3 hit on the Billboard Hot 100
@@s.anthonyulibarri2488 Of course the song was written for Sesame Street. But I was talking about where this was recorded. Julie's specail was where she sang this particular song. Our son was Sesame Street aged then, and he made sure we knew the song, too! The Carpenters did a great job on it, as did Neil Diamond.
