Kate, as a sound engineer, I have to say your panning of your added music on Cousin Crows was really on point. Making its source directional made it far more realistic. Add a bit of large hall reverb for the icing on the cake. Nicely done!
Oh yes! That music you added to Crowes is great! Also I have been killed by elevators too many times. That practice of moving items to local before getting on an elevator is a habit haha. I am not used to rolling with a group so never thought how wandering around in my boxers could be an issue haha.
haha it's no issue dont worry it's just always kinda funny to see someone without clothes in this game :D I know exactly what you mean about the elevator dangers! they can be lethal especially in a crowd :D
You should keep items if you die while in a landing area or station, so there's no need to fear the elevators for that reason any more. The items will be placed in the local inventory of the hospital you spawn at.
This entire group you've built up is honestly quite amazing, they all seem so nice especially on the discord. Amazing content too, looking forward to seeing more
Really good job with adding the music in Cousin Crows. You're right, it really does suit the place and I was really impressed with your positional/directional implementation where the music would shift which speaker you would hear it coming from depending on which direction you were looking. Like someone working under their car in the garage with a stereo blaring on the cart or on their workbench. Like so many garages and workshops I've worked in. Really set the mood and I absolutely loved it. It just feels perfect. I really hope CIG sees this and adds that to Cousin Crows.
Star Citizen might be the only game where you can be entertained by the suspense of the situation while waiting for others to come rescue you or pick you up!
Awesome content! I wish I was able to play with friends in as big of a group as yours. This game really shows its potential when you're playing with other people
I love these Life aboard series. Id love to have enough people to do stuff like this some day. When distribution centers come out I hope you are able to do something with those like a Hull C or caterpillar Life aboard series. Thank you for these videos!
You know... When you make trips to the stations or docking ports, there are times I wished there was a "Option" to include a kind of like recording/cutscene whenever repairs or upgrades are done. If enabled, the user can watch and/or listen to crews in the hangar working. For example, when you leaving the ship, you could end up hearing Jackson getting chewed out by the Head Engineer about being late for work or something. (or some name of one of the developers and a funny easter egg added).
Another great bit to this would be for these kind of activities you and the rest of the crew. Like if you need to get an upgrade and had already paid for repairs and fueling. Your audio will pick up them talking about the work you requested when you leave your ship. That would be an interesting background noise/intrigue when they can add more performance in the game I imagine. I do agree with you about the atmosphere music option for entering shops. That would definitely improve the gaming atmosphere as a whole.
Hey @kate, I'm thinking of picking up the game in the next few weeks with a Carrack as my default/daily. Might be cool to do another 'life aboard' series with two carracks, operating as a veritable fleet! Be a good chance for me to learn the ropes of multi-crew play while I'm at it. Hope to see you out there.
I love this series but I’d definitely try and keep the carrack in orbit as much as possible. Keep it more safe and give more use for the snub as a transport ship to planet surface.
Once again a most enjoyable video. Because I am in love with Kate that makes me a little bias. Still because of the learning experience along with comedy and exciting gameplay I usually watch your videos twice, sometimes three times. Please keep them in production and I know one day I will meet you all in the verse.
we used my carrack and another carrack and 5 other ships to do the Arlington gang mission with the idris it took over an hour of heavy shooting to kill it, we were calling in other ships from the map just to come help shoot it, the idris takes over 40 torps to kill now. those bunker turrets hit hard they are s4 or 5 i think
Good job with the directional music at the shop! that must have been annoying to do. Yah this entire experience makes me wonder. How many people will actually play as crew of large ships. Eventually people will end up buying their own large ships and I feel like there may be a lack of people wanting to play as crew on a ship. I think I personally think if we had enough land gameplay like were supposed too in year 11+, I'd spend all the time roaming the land making a living with my land vehicle. The most I would ever want to crew with is a group of 5. any more and it feels like the game is too easy.

Agree! The idea alone is amazing, but that she added the music was amazing.

Wow Cousin Crows really feels entirely different with music! Great job on the edit! Very directional and realistic!
17:20 AKA: Katie doesn't just have your back, she has your whole body

Very nice job adding the music to Crows.
nice work adding the music, it felt so real and organic
Agree I even had a hard time believing her when saying it as the directional sound and sound muffling was so well done.
Star Citizen might be the only game where you can be entertained by the suspense of the situation while waiting for others to come rescue you or pick you up!
"I'm ..er Alive".....possibly the best status in Star Citizen when something goes wrong :)
Holy Cow! You guys at SPK was the bomb! Great video as always.
This series is peak Star Citizen. Love your channel and the crew gameplay is amazing to see.
Awesome content! I wish I was able to play with friends in as big of a group as yours. This game really shows its potential when you're playing with other people
It’s always cool to see what kind of fun situations you can find yourself in, the escape from Kareah was definitely intense!
The music you added was perfect. Like you said it really sets the mood when walking into that shop awesome work!
The best part of my day is sitting down and watching your videos ❤
The Ursa is so buggy. lol. nothing stays inside it when you drive around. Great video as always. Thanks for the entertainment.
I love the vibe of your videos so much, the music and editing just match perfectly for comfy viewing.
I really enjoyed this episode. Plenty of action!
I think your having fun and I think that's fantastic Kate. You sound very genuine and enthusiastic. I hope life is treating you well!.
Was a pleasure to fly with you and the crew, hope to do it again soon
Man Cousin Crows sounded like an underground rave, that was epic!!!
Standed at SPK is my favourite part of the video!!! XD Never seen content like this and I love it!

The music you added to Cousin Crows sounds appropriate for the location too!
Carrack is the best multi-crew ship. You can turn it into a landing ship or a cargo ship or even a carrier
Its a shame it is going to lose its repawn function 😔
Again great video. Look forward to this type of gameplay being supported😊
Like the life abourd serrie verry much, nice you doing the overdrive missions. And that game play with retrieving post Korea cool
What an amazing rollercoaster of emotions!

"when you say the ship ate you, what do you mean?" lol
Entertaining & educational as always!
Damn I lowkey love your music taste. That had me movin. lol
As far as fuel tanks are concerned. The cat especially has a small tank considering its a hauler.
unlock ports ... use 2h tractor beam on the problemed elevator. Problem solved. Music at Cousin Crows was perfect!
It's always something!😁
Okay, the high-speed scoop didn't look like a great idea. Funny to watch, but not super practical.
Awesome video though! Very entertaining!
That...was...AWESOME!
Katie is a super hero. ❤
Want to see fleet of Carracks or 890 supported with 2 Carracks - with fighter cover :)
Cant wait for life aboard a polaris
good job with the music edit!
wish when 3.23 come, you can have a big team to play with
So much fun to watch :)
I’m beginning to think that someone is becoming a spokesperson for Arclight pistols.🤔
i love this series
Always fun!
I think you need a hammerhead for the distro centers. Want one?
This is so super fun! Is there a way to join you guys on discord or something? Would love to join a crew if possible =)
The camera bob in this video is odd, are you using eyetracking or a makeshift VR setup?
