Great reaction and agreed they really put on a show! I believe they’re doing a couple festivals in the summer but probably won’t be back in the states till next year, they’re currently working on their new album which is very exciting. About the song! I quite agree with what you said, Avatar don’t tend to shy away from criticism towards war (their first album Thought of No Tomorrow quite literally having a song about that named War Song haha, though a bit more juvenile and more blatant) but especially towards those in power that create it, I like your analysis of what Vultures could entail in this context. Have you listened to any of the other recent songs? Cruel and Unusual is a straightforward angry song, Construction of Souls is fun and “christmasy”, Going Hunting is very theatrical, and Barren Cloth Mother is a heavy banger, and if you have, as for live performances I’d very much recommend Bloody Angel live at Poland Rock, The King Welcomes You to Avatar Country live at Alcatraz, Torn Apart live at Sticky Fingers, Puppet Show at Poland Rock, and although not played to an audience Regret/House of Eternal Hunt (live from ages) is amazing
I have listened to some of the newer songs. So good. I actually did a reaction to "So Sang the Hollow". His vocal and piano work on "Going Hunting" is phenomenal. It's the live performances I haven't seen much of.
Thanks for reaction! Awww, cute kitty!)))) 😍😽😽😽Black cats are the best! Vultures are sacred birds of god of war Ares.))) Elysian fields is part of Hades, world of dead, and very nice part. Well, a lot of Greek mythology.)) The official video fully reflects the essence of the song.
I've seen them live 4 times 😁 they have NEVER disappointed not once!
