The stumble off idle can be adjusted. There is an expansion washer on the air filter side of the carburetor, pop that thing out and turn the screw hidden behind it counter clockwise 1/4-1/2 turn. Should clear that stumble off idle right up. I know this, I have two of the 572xps, they're great saws. If you build a performance exhaust pipe on em, really wakes em up also. That and polish the exhaust and open up the transfers a bit. Love your videos Tin Man, I really do appreciate all of the info you've shared with me and the rest of the word. I now port my own sawz, all because of the fantastic teachings you've shared. Keep up the good work!
Found it odd they would only sell it with a 24” bar. Bought a 372 X-Torque several years ago, it came with a 28” bar. Seems like a perfect match, at least for me. Am 6’5” , appreciate the extra 4”. Saves my back and enables me to get larger wood.
Thanks again tinman, love the tailgate wrenching vids, hope baby Charlie and mama bear are doin well. Finally got my 266se 50zn13 into some big wood and man she’s a ripper. Thanks again tinman and see you in the next Friday in the shop
Bought mine 3 days ago. Heated grips - it works great. was cutting in -20C day. I had told them I wanted a 372 with a 36 inch bar. 10 days later - I was back to the saw shop - and the parts guys had a 572 with a 36 inch bar and chain. I left with it - and it works great here in NB, Canada.
Those flip caps in the new 572xp will on Polan and Echo saws. I've checked because my uncle has a small Polan with a 16 inch bar, my dad had an Echo CS490 and I have bought the new flip caps for both of their saws. I also upgraded my 455 Rancher caps to the new flip caps.
Having the same weather over here in the Peace Country in northeast BC. Supposed to finally warm up this weekend coming up! Hope the weather man ain’t lying again
Nice new saw. Jusy cut two cords today with my son and misses. Nice big pine, ran my 55, 268xp and the 272xp to put some time on them. Even kept cutting when it started to rain a bit. Didn't take long to cut two cords with that big 20 inch pine. It was a good day in the bush. Nice full wrap, one day maybe I'll upgrade. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
Was actually reassembling a 455 rancher while watching the video where you mentioned how to remove husky av mounts and had just reinstalled the cylinder mount! Lol That 572 definitely deserves the west coast kit and looks killer!
I finally got out to cut some wood today down here in North Dakota. Hope to run my 572xp tomorrow on a big pin oak. I got that WCS kit for mine too and after the first tank of fuel, I like it. Weird that they send identical anti vibe mount for handle. I'm using a 28" bar so I don't have oiling issues.
Good looking saw! That West coast kit really makes it knarly. I also was impressed at how cheap those are. For around $50 u.s. I got the bar and spikes for the 365 special. Way cheaper than say the stihl oem handle bars.
Good day I have 372 x torque heated carb handles .bought it with 2 tanks burned not sure oil mixture but I burned i tank that was in saw .I mixed next two with amzoil at least 40.1 dominater hard starting when hot if starts at all .leave woods drive home and stats fine when cooled down with choke .changed oil over carb trouble or coil maybe whats your opinion would be appreciated. Or maybe I just might be cursed I thinking maybe lol.
Another great video Tinman, glad you admitted to liking the 5xx series autotune saws. I have seen they get a lot of hate for being computerized. However with the crazy prices on used 3xx series saws and availability of good ones, sometimes a feller is better off going and buying new. I hope you get a 500i I have been following buckins journey with them would love to see your 2 cents on one. I am going to pick one up before next winters cutting season. The power to weight seems incredible on paper. Have to change from my husqvarna loving ways to get the sthil but I know they are good too. Cheers
Hey Sir, Just wanted to let you know that I based a lot of my purchase of my 562XP off of your running videos and opinion of your scored piston 562XP. It is still NEW to me but I have been having fun running it side by side with my Echo 620. Thank you again and I like the new wrap! Hope to someday get a 572 myself!
Great content. Have ported and decked two 350 huskies. Got two years on both and happy. I know it's a small saw but cuts great. Cut base with Maching therfore can use base gasket. 105 e, 125, Trans and 160 duration on intake. Dose not Rev but pulls very well. Do bigger saws have same numbers? I have a 372 play kit and 2171 jonsered. Due 20ish blowdown numbers keep a saw dependable and strong? Squish around 20 thousands.
The ol 350 is such a great saw in general but they are so fun to play with and mod. So many options. I may be biased because I cut my teeth porting 346xp/353/350’s but I don’t think anyone can cut with a screaming 346xp and not have a smile on your face!
I run a 28 full comp with a 32, 36, and 42 in my pack. I have been a sawer on wild fires for 10 years or so. I run a 038 mag2 for fires, as many other fire crews do, maybe I need this or that and do me one has it with them. I have not used a 3/572 but would like to use one for a fall to learn it. I will never bring anything un proven to fire camps. I saw too many guys with 460’s burn them selfs from the new tanks over pressure.
Care to share some details on the 460? Geyser issues? I'm headed to Oregon for my first season on wildfire this year, and I'd just decided my 460 was the saw to take with me..
@@dylanleeevins if you switch to old fuel/oil plugs ( all black with a screwdriver slot), then you can slowly open the gas to refuel, and wait for capers before it’s all the way off. I have been meaning to create a bleeder valve. To use before fueling, it sucks getting all wet covered in nomex on a hot day on the line.
Hey man been a fan of you and BBR for years now, I have a 572 and does it seem odd to you that there isn't a rubber bushing atleast or something in that 1 inch hole on the handlebars with the peg just sticking out into it? I feel like something should be there but I had to come look at this to make sure mine wasn't missing a piece lol
I've always wondered that about mine.. not the faintest idea what purpose it serves. Maybe makes sure the handle and powerhead don't get too far apart?
Hey I've been watching you for a while. You're awesome bro. I have a super vintage McCullough 125 gear driven saw, needs rebuit..would you be interested in doing this for me?

I always carry extra bar nuts in my sharpening kit !
I got the same saw Friday. I got put my full wrap on myself. Thanks for the video.
The WC kits make saws look so much better than regular

Also, my 572xp had an issue with the ignition module.
Check with your dealer and see if the one on your saw is the updated ignition module.

They also fit a dolmar 7900. Talk about an upgrade
Those wide covers fit 372/592 also! They are boss for noodling.
Good stuff buddy 👍, think only reason I don't like buying new is they look to good to use 🤣 ATB 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Same weather here in Montana, one day air conditioning and today woodstove is working away.
Having the same weather over here in the Peace Country in northeast BC. Supposed to finally warm up this weekend coming up! Hope the weather man ain’t lying again
I bought that kit just for the clutch cover. It fits my 372, dont own a 572

good to hear charlie’s doing well
it’s getting on cuttin season finally
Great content! Appreciate it
long time viewer here. Great to see you rockin the old school saws and the autotunes ! Nice to see bud. Keep the chips flyin
Been running and owning saws for 57 yr's and I've never lost a bar nut ever...captured nuts will be an asset for some I guess.
Was actually reassembling a 455 rancher while watching the video where you mentioned how to remove husky av mounts and had just reinstalled the cylinder mount! Lol

@Tinman’s saws what is the part number for the kit? Thanks for the content!
I bet the clutch cover off the 572 would dress up the 576 real nice
Sounds like Melbourne Aus, we get four seasons in one day Lol.
Spot on, Victorian here mate. 👍
I my self always bar up with 28" on the old 572xp and it's not a problem at all

I’m not a new saw guy either but the 500 I Spanx everything in the new stuff specs

I noticed, the felling sight has been moved back closer to the saw felling sight, original clutch cover, sight is waaay off from the saw sight.
Does it make sense to implement these west coast parts. What's the advantage?
Spring does what spring does.Keep your stumps low. Your rubber tired equipment will thank you.😁
Nice setup buddy
Put a 28" light bar also!
Hi everyone hope everyone is having a blessed day
Hey Daniel
I've heard alot of bad review on that 572 xp I wanted to get one

Pretty weird design I think I have no clue @@dylanleeevins
Did same to mine it rocks!😁💕
Can you provide a link for that kit?
Hey Tinman! Does the captive bar nut cover fit a 390xp? Been wanting to put that style cover on mine
It will, I put one on my 390
You ain’t wrong on that 562xp
I bet that 572xp is just like the 562xp for longevity 😊
Is there a link fir this kit
Tinman (or anyone elce), what size fuel line does a 372 use?
It’s kinda funny most people in Manitoba look at you like your some kinda alien with a long bar on your saw
I cut old man pine, and a long bar to me is 60 inch. Cheers from NZ
Nice saw, but the big dogs are just for looks eh! I got some on one of my saws and no reason other than they look cool.
That’s a lot of full wraps.. I like them but not that much lol
Hey I've been watching you for a while. You're awesome bro. I have a super vintage McCullough 125 gear driven saw, needs rebuit..would you be interested in doing this for me?
You mean strange start of the year. 25° during the day, then -4° at night.
The one I seen on display had a full wrap bar . I think you got ripped off
You know it isn’t a full wrap it’s a full wrappy dappy 😂
Hey guys, chainsaw comment from me
hey coolestguy. your everywhere!
Hey Tinman, where do you get the West Coast kit from? I ordered this kit in Australia and was told it’s not an option… Thanks.
They are available online all over the place. Very reasonable
