And that Jinwoo setup Kim Chul to be killed. Kim Chul's sword was stuck in the snow next to Jinwoo when he says "I need a stronger fighting force" then when he uses the mage to call in the big fireball he uses that explosion to blow Kim Chul's sword over to him. Kim Chul realized this as he was dying when he said "Jinwoo... you bastard. You knew... this would happen?" Jinwoo took the initiative to kill Kim Chul. It's a whole lot more sinister than the anime portrays.
18:03 Jinwoo admitted the Ice Elf leader was more powerful than himself and Igris combined, so the odds of him dying (along with all the other weaker Hunters) were greater than him winning. In order for him and the others to survive he needed a powerful A-rank to follow his orders. So that's why he needed to create Iron (kill the A-rank hunter)...otherwise, none of the hunters and himself would have survived.
Yep that's why Jinwoo blew Kim Chul's sword over to him with that fireball. Jinwoo set Kim Chul up to be killed cause he needed a "stronger fighting force." Kim Chul realized this as he was dying when he said "Jinwoo... you bastard. You knew... this would happen?" It was more sinister than most realize.
And it's always a harsh world, be it an anime or reality, if someone tries to attack one, they have full right to do the same to them for one's own self-defense; laws don't matter in dungeons and not like they're very effective in the real world either, the strong survive
@@bigd7481 not the fireball. Its when Baruka and him about to clash. If you go back to when he is about to dash, they showed his foot plus the sword. So he kicked it towards Kim Chul to provoke him, so he can justify his plan on killing him. Up to that point, it was up to Kim Chul if he is going to pick the sword up and go Jinwoo or not but he did go for Jinwoo and poof came Iron
This is the episode that truly reveals that solo leveling isn't just about getting stronger. You have the glitch that prevents Barka ( elf guy ) from revealing too much info and the voices that all magic beast have telling them to kill humans but for some reason not Jinwoo.
@@اميرمادرا He ain’t a good one either. In the anime and the manwha, he makes it clear. Stay out of his way or you’re in danger. He only cares about protecting the people he loves and will do whatever’s necessary to achieve it. Manwha spoilers ahead… He literally just tells everyone in a conference meeting with high rank hunters globally that if they go after his dad, he’ll straight kill them. He’s more lawful neutral than good or bad imo. Thomas was even like “I need to stop Hwang Dongsoo from messing with him before he gets himself killed.”
Sad they cut out a part of convo from Baek (The Guild Master), he basically said after Jinwoo left that he would have to "be prepared to lose an Arm for a chance to win in a fight"-gives a good idea how strong he already is at this point ^^
@@gfys970 it was there but only in the novel. In the Manhwa it was changed/translated to that he have to give an arm and a leg to get him into the guild
Also, Jin is completely oblivious to the girl's feelings. He was confused by Jin Ho being bothered by her age because he thought he was complaining about her being a part of their temporary strike team. He may look different on the outside but he's still the innocent kid from episode one when it comes to being dense.
I don't think he's entirely oblivious, moreso surprised, but also apathetic. He isn't interested in her, so he's not reacting. After all, he wasn't oblivious to Joohe's feelings toward him. I think he's fully aware, but thinks it's just a highschool girl crush and is just letting it slide so long as she doesn't do anything about it.
@@SuperSpellshe's dense regarding romantic feelings. It will be more obvious in later episodes. Guy needs a large glowing neon sign on top of the girl who has the hots for him to even notice.
Let’s not forget, despite this being a very cliche in anime MC, Jinwoo did come from a background of being The Weakest Hunter of all mankind and did not get much attention or respect. It’s been maybe 2 months since his Double Dungeon Reawakening and he’s very much not well verse in the idea that someone is interested in him in that way. We got the nurse asking him for his phone number, the school girls fawning over him and now even Han Songyi. At least we can understand why he’s dense, and it’s not just him being dense for no reason. 😅
The system also would have sensed the bloodlust and given jinwoo a urgent mission like it did with the spider dungeon and kang he just skipped a formality really
To be fair, Kim tried to kill Jinwoo and his group three times. 1. Kim abandoned them to die. 2. Kim tried to attack the group. 3. Kim tried to kill Jinwoo while he's fighting a boss. It's only after the third time that Jinwoo kills Kim.
well in manhwa it was intentional by jin woo, he didn't give him third chance but tossed the sword to kim cleverly while fighting the elves coz he knew kim would attack him and he would kill him to help him defeat the boss
@ABHI-lp7ro Even if he predicted that Kim would try to kill him, it doesn't change the fact that Kim tried to kill Jinwoo and his group three times. I think Jinwoo made the best out of the situation. He was fighting the ice elves while he was protecting his group.
@@tonic451 reminder that jinwoo tossed a convict to death(by monsters) in season 1 of manhwa even though the convict did not have killing intent against his group.
I love her unrealistic expectations for conflict resolution. Someone's charging you with full intent to kill and a sword in hand. This same person who has shown on multiple times, to not care about your life. Your option is to disarm them or kill them. Given the whole problem of also having a second person doing the same thing at the same time, you don't have a choice. "Kill or be killed" - nature
Yeah but Jinhoo thought they were talking about something else due to the out of context nature of their conversation, and the way she was leaning in on him
I guess my question is how is this any different from the other times he’s killed humans? Every single time he’s done it, it has been in self defense of others and himself. I’m pretty sure Kim wasn’t going to walk up to the camp with his sword drawn and just threaten the 3 lower ranks and take their things and then let them go…the only thing that I think is morally gray here, in my opinion, is using his soul in Jinwoo’s army…
In the manhwa, Jin Woo actually kicks Kim Chul's sword back towards Kim Chul (after Jin Woo pushes him away), which the anime didn't include. Jin Woo while fighting the ice elf, thinks to himself "I need someone stronger", looks at the sword on the snow and Kim Chul lying further back in the snow. He then kicks the sword back to Kim Chul while attacking the Ice Elf. The anime just had the sword seem like it landed in the snow. So the manhwa almost insinuates that Jin Woo planned to have Kim Chul attack him so Jin Woo could turn him into Iron.
@@84C4 I’m not going to argue this because it’s not worth it. All I’ll say is premeditating killing someone is still fucked up especially if you’re counting on that person to attack you so you can kill him. Not saying Jin Woo is a bad guy, but it’s still morally gray at best. He’s giving a weapon to someone he knows wants to kill him in order to kill him.
@@FranciscoHOS Oh, it's definitely morally grey, but he _did_ give him a choice to _not_ attack him. In the Manwha he waits until Kim's attack is actually about to land before doing anything while he's fighting Bakura and Igris is summoned to defend his back. He knew chances were good that Kim would attempt to stab him in the back, but he also didn't go over and just stab him while he was knocked out.
@ Sure, but he also knew that Kim Chul would likely attack him. So he premeditated killing him by kicking the sword to him, egging him on. Self defense doesn’t justify premediating killing someone so he can turn them into a soldier.
17:40 We werent explicitly told but so far, whenever someone has shown to have intentions of killing him the system tells jinwoo to take them out to ensure his safety, or suffer the penatly (your heart will stop) First time it happened was very significant so more attention was brought to it, second time he was fighting kang tae shik and we were shown the system telling him to defend himself. Kim chul approached jinwoo with clear intention of killing him. We were not shown the system panel but it doesnt take much to conclude that it forced him to kill again, but to a certain extent i agree with her, it did look like he killed kin chul just to use him even tho its not completely the case Edit: I reread the chapter and jinwoo planned for kim to attack him so he had an excuse to kill him, which is fucked up. This does allign with manhwa jinwoo a little more since before this the anime kang killed the 3 prisoners but the manhwa 1 was still alive he dragged him to the boss room, threw him inside and watched him die before killing the boss offscreen. I didnt notice at the time but during the showdown with baruka the camera pans out to show kims sword lodged in the ground close to jinwoo, then baruka and jinwoo dash, and the snow jinwoo lifts pushes the sword to kim. Jinwoos plan to get him killed as support to fight baruka is removed in anime, but thats why he did it. Honestly fucked up
Agree!! My only thoughts are those other times he killed and the system told him to, those people were threats to him in the sense that they were VERY strong. Not just trying to kill him. This guy seemed not even half as strong as Jinwoo… just some differences that I noticed! But, yeah, could just be that the points been made the system forces him to kill so why go over it again 🖤
I don't think the system was actually involved this time, i think of it in a metaphor Say your in the mafia The first time - You have someone do something morally gray, they're hesitant but still go through with it The second time - You have the same person do something morally gray, they're less hesitant this time and go through with it The third time - You have them do something either morally gray or just wrong in other's eyes, and they go through with it with no hesitation This is exactly what i picture going on with Jin woo here, The system only had to tell him to do it the first two times & would've this time as well, however he was already going to do it anyways so there was no reason to do it this time. Plus in the manhwa, Jin Woo purposefully kicked Kim's sword towards his hands well he was still unconscious, only to give himself the reason to kill him, in Jin woo's eyes, there was no reason to keep someone like him alive, especially when he clearly was going to hurt innocent members of his own team & wasn't a good person, he just needed a reason to do it personally. Manhwa Jin Woo is by all means an anti-hero, he is 100% morally gray. In the arc with the prisoners, one of them survived & Jin Woo threw them in with the boss & just let the goblins kill him, because he was a bad person.
No, the system didn't tell him to kill this time. In the manhwa and the LN, it has no mention of the system being involved when he kills Kim Chul. So Jin Woo is for sure getting a little dark.
Technically, jin woo didn"t killed the guy, now he has servants , it's igris that killed the guy, this is igris job's to protect his master. But jin woo still takes accountability and realise it's the third time that he 'had' to kill. This world, in this situation and in a dungeon, laws can't be applicated but morals still operate. He has the responsability to save people now. Great video =)
Morally speaking, killing Kim was self defense. Turning him into a Shadow was morally questionable but at the same time, Iron was a huge help in the fight so... self defense to self offense?
Epic fight and it’s not even the main fight of the season! Sung Jin Woo's latest mirror clip made me rizz up and I'm a man 😂 Catching the arrow in mid-air was fireee🔥🔥
ohhhh boy, I can tell that dude is trying so hard not to spoil. But tbh, girl you got some good hypothesis though! All I can say is that you will enjoy this roller coaster ride!
Just watch your reaction to Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode two, and I respectfully disagree with her assessment that Jinwoo just killed Kim Chul out of Necessity and not out of self-defense as he did in the other two instances where he killed humans in Season 1. Let's look at the situation: Jinwoo was in a fierce battle with Barca who was stronger than Jinwoo, who was going to kill not ONLY Jinwoo, but the other 3 hunters as well as Kim Chul, once he defeated Jinwoo. In a battle with an arguably S-Ranked Monster (Barca), if Kim Chul had been allowed to attack, he could have been just enough of a distraction to cause Jinwoo to die. Once Jinwoo dies all the shadow disappear as well. Kim Chul had already passed the "Let's Hug it out and tell each other our feelings!" stage and was blaming Jinwoo for his failure as a leader and definitely had killing Jinwoo at the top of his list to do, and in the middle of a heated life and death battle with the Dungeon Boss, no less. And Jinwoo didn't try to give the strike team in episodes 5 & 6, or B-Ranked Hunter Kang in Episodes 8 & 9 a chance or to talk it out once they attacked him, he killed them as efficiently as possible, and in order to defend his own life and those around him. The fact that taking Kim Chul's shadow tipped the scales in Jinwoo's favor (and by tipping them in Jinwoo's favor, tipped them in the other 3 hunters' favor, you know the other 3 hunters Kim Chul had left with Jinwoo to die), was the best thing that could have happened to Kim Chul. I dare say, if there had been a couple more minutes in the battle before Kim Chul died, the System would have issued another quest to kill him to protect the Player! As for the reason Jinwoo was unable to raise Barca's shadow or the other elves' shadows, if you remember in Season 1, Episode 12 when Jinwoo got his Necromancer powers there is a limit to how many shadows he can hold (shadow storage) at one time. In fact he had to release 11 shadows in order to be able to attempt to raise Igris. Jinwoo had just acquired about a dozen ice bears and the Ice Bear Clan leader, and an A-Ranked Hunter's shadow, which at his current mana levels probably had him pretty close to Shadow Storage limits. As Jinwoo's Intelligence Level increases, so does his Mana Level and thus his ability to store MORE shadows and higher ranked shadows. I don't think Barca's level being so high was as big a problem for Jinwoo much as he was at his limit for shadow storage. As far as we know, Jinwoo didn't get any of the lower ranked elves' shadows either, which is another indication he was likely at his shadow storage max.
I remember he said this to himself: "The more I become Stronger, the more I became Emotion less" 😔😔. I can't blame Him, for many sacrifice he have.....That's also the reason he became nonchalant!
Honestly this episode has me extremely hyped for the other craziness later on. This is basically the tipping point in the series where you start to see Jinwoo become what his class describes. That fade into stealth is top tier animation. To clarify the interaction with Jinwoo and Baek (white tiger guild leader) Baek has the ability to sense people’s limits in his aura form. I won’t spoil the rest of it since Baek explains it himself later on.
each time jin woo hasnt resisted killing anyone he had to, the first time against the group of hunters he just had to remember that only the strong get to survive and he was good to go, the second time against he assassin hunter he just let his friend take the duel to hide his secret if he could, but in the end he had no problem killing him, he did ask him to be less bloodthirsty so the system wouldnt notice but even after he did all he said was "i guess now i have 2 reasons to kill you" or somnething like that.
TO BE FAIR, even if he didn't kill Kim off the bat, the system would've given him a quest either way. Kim also was going to harm his sisters friend, who he swore to protect. It's deserved. 🤣
In all fairness the guy Jinwoo killed did think he was sending the weakest off in a group to die. So actually he started it by giving them a death sentence in his mind.
I think one thing to remember is that even if it is a modern setting, it is still a crap sack world. We don't necessarily see the wide scale destruction the gates have caused but case in point Jeju island has a population of almost 700k and has over 10 million tourists annually. So the laws and morals are definitely different than our world's especially among hunters.
One thing I love about Jinwoo (and Solo Leveling), is everyone expects the hero to always be the goodie too shoes. To always be the lawful good . . . Not here. Kimchool came at Jinwoo from behind, while he was scrapping with the Boss I've Elf, after being numerous chances to back down. . . . Nah dawg. Jinwoo gave him what he would've done to him. Done-ski Kimchool!
I completely agree with you. I have read the Manhwa as well, I love the Manhwa, but being able to actually SEE it animated like this... it makes it so much fun.
In warfare when you raise a weapon you make yourself into a combatant. Kim was going kill Jin-Woo, Jin-Woo just managed to kill him first. Simple as that. Some people can't be reasoned with nor did Jin-Woo have the time to try and convince Kim.
"so " can mean different things not just what you assumed, in this situation it means ( so what does it have to do with me, there's nothing going on between us two) plz guys don't misunderstood my boy jin woo 😅😭
i mean aside from the fact that kim chul did try to kill jinwoo's squad & jinwoo himself, when you're a hunter in a dungeon, either kill or be killed. i love jinwoo as an mc cause he's neither an overly good guy or overly bad guy. he will try to save as many as possible but don't get in his way. i love the grey area he lives by. He's always peak 💯
They didn't show it in the anime, but in the manhwa, Daddywoo kicks Kim's sword over to his body during the fight knowing that he would attack him and he could kill him and make him a shadow. Dripwoo planned it from the get go. (Chapter 53 if you wish to see)
also we dont know if the shadows are bringing people back to life as their soul or what, because they arent bringing anyone back from the dead, we can see that with the bears bodies being left behind but the shadows still rising from them. Could be their soul or could just be a shadow with their power, not sure at this point.
I really like the reactions to this, having one Manga reader & one Anime only is good for commentary! Also the post-episode time is neither too short nor too long, it's perfect for reaction videos for anime!
Jinwoo basicaly stated that he needs stronger soldiers if he wants to be able to defeat Barca. So it was basicaly him killing the tank and bringing him on his side or they would have all be eliminated. Tough decision but had to be made or none of them would have made it out.
Kim chuls fate was sealed regardless, remember once the system picks up the persons intent to kill jinwoo he's going to get a directive to kill, this case he just knew what it was and needed his tank. Also in he manhwa they draw the bloodlust in kim chuls eyes.
A lot of people are misunderstanding the skill "arise". It has nothing to do with skill diff between Jin woo and the target. I don’t exactly know it either but it does not have anything to do with skill gap. When Igris was first introduced,he was so powerful that, even if all the South korea S rank Hunters fought together, Igris will win without a sweat. Here's the twist, when Jin Woo revived him,his powers got reset and he is now growing along with Jin Woo. The reason will be revealed later tho……
To be fair to Jinwoo the A rank was attacking him while he was fighting an opponent he couldn't beat even with Igris. I think there is a solid argument he had to kill the A ranker to win. If the A ranker had went to help him he likely wouldn't have needed to kill him
Just wanna point out he's not losing his humanity even on current episodes till the end of the arc he still protect ppl from the final battle, it's his killing intent also he just changed a bit ruthless but doesn't mean he's a bad or lost his soul or whatsoever, for jinah jinwoo isn't even crush or attracted to her, she's like a sister to him just like jinho.
Isn't that the case for any person though? He never proclaimed himself as to being a superhero. Also no one except the healer girl at the start and the guy without the arm treated him like shit. He owes people nothing lol
Sung is generally pretty morally grey in terms of writing. He's not a good guy but he doesn't kill without a good reason either and helps if he can. Also with more power he realises he doesn't have to deal with stronger hunter's shit.
One he killed a human being in the spider dungeon and two is the assassin one and tha last one is kim chul A RANK. Also my theory from this guy jinwoo the more he killed human being the more he lost his humanity transform into a cold-blooded person behavior. I laso notice when baek yoonho( leader of the white tiger guild ) asking: "why this guy is so unfriendly?" Then the healer A rank replied: since after he defeat the boss his mood turned sour all of sudden"
he's not a bad guy , jinwoo is not like other mc's he is most badass and coldest character so, if anyone try to kill him the system will notice the murderous intent and he kill them
A guy runs at him with his bigass Sword 21:22 "He didnt kill for self defense"🤡 (Also left them to die the moment they arrived in the gate, also tried to kill other hunter and his sister friend but he spared his life the first time)
Until now, Jinwoo has made a pact to himself, not giving in the Manwha series; (if you fuck wit me, you get dealt with) he did lay that weapon for him. If he tried to kill him with it, so be it, Kim should have helped but chose to kill. It is what it is, my boy. Jin stands on business. No bs attitude.
@@JuiceboxGM24 neither am I serious 😅 I'm not a hardcore otaku to be serious in some anime matters and conflicts🫠,first of all reaction channels are there so that we can see the judgement and what are their takes on that shows, if she judges jinwoo as a bad person, let her judge, somethings can be bad or good depends on what your takes on it ,giving a character example if yk demon slayer when Tengen got introduced in Entertainment district arc ep1 his some actions that were supposed to be funny got flammed as some sexual acts, even that he has 3 wives some viewers have problem with that too, it doesn't matter how you express some things,it doesn't matter in the end it's upto viewers how they take it....and in this case jinwoo is becoming a bad guy that's how she is seeing, I'm not flamming her that your comments are bullshit or anything, it's an anime that's why we think he is so cool or anything but thinking of that kind of characterism in real life you'd prolly stay away from them👀 what's your take on it? Just curios
@ I think Jin Woo is struggling mentally with having to kill humans instead of monsters. The reason he didn't hesitate is because he saw that guy as a threat to the safety of the others and if he had somehow interrupted the boss fight he could lose and Baruka would kill everyone and a dungeon break would occur. I think he can justify the kill just as he did the others and rightfully so.
jinwoo is fighting for his life and to save others ...he and igris together cant defeat barka !! kim chul already betrayed the team and tried to kill jinwoo instead of helping him so cooperation was out of question this is the only choice left !!what would u have done in his place? kim chul had the mentality 'if i am going down i will make sure to take my allies down with me'
To be fair with Jinwoo, Kim Chul wanted to kill him. At least, he got to be used in a much better way and his personality improved greatly. We love our boy Iron. If he had to die, well, that's life.
He's not a good or a bad guy, he's someone trying to save his mother from an illness. Unlike a hero who makes the decision to be that upstanding person. Sung never did, he went from weak, to strong, and on his own effort. I'm sure he's getting really tired of people trying to kill him for it as well so it's not super surprising to me how quickly he'd dispatch kim just because he came at him already more then once. "this guy again" kind of feeling. but for sure it's definitely effecting him, having to make those decisions. Learning to make them more quickly and with less emotion. His goal was never to help people, it was just to help his own family and everyone else be damned right? >:3
Just to explain a details you missed in this episode but the readers of the manhwa knows (Taylor should have explained it lol), Jin Woo didn't kill Kim just because he tried to kill him, but if you read carefully the what he was saying, you will notice that he thought needed more man power to win and than he noticed the sword of Kim, he than used his attack to Barok to send the sword to Kim so he can attack him. That's why Kim said that Jin Woo know he would attack him and that's also why just before Kim attacked him, he (Jin woo) said that he used the mage attack to "buy some times" for Kim to attack and than Igris used the snow so that the humans doesn't see Jin Woo kill and Arise Kim.
@@T_K_Ohhh Well, in the manhwa is explicit but in the anime, it's not. That's why I said that the readers only can see it. And you can see in the episode the sword just behind Jin Woo not beside Kim.
Idea: could it be possible that the system told jin woo to kill the A rank even though it's not shown, because like the other humans jin woo killed this guy showed murderous intent which we know the system recognizes as a threat which then instructs jin woo to kill them.
So its not that he was less reluctant in killing Humans per-say compared to now its just that as he grows stronger just like any human being you tend to change your views or outlook on things, UGGHHH im a light novel and manwha reader so im biting my tounge trying not to say anything that is a spoiler
Strong disagree. Jinwoo was scared to engage with the first murderers, until he really needed to, but the dungeon assassin, he let his mentor try his hand before he jumped in, and that's all. What really made this one feel different is that while Kim Chul WANTED to kill Jinwoo, he really didn't pose a legitimate threat. He needed to die. It just so happens that dead things are also a resource for Jinwoo.
Let's just say Sung Jin Woo wasn't really a "hero". He's doing everything to survive and to protect those who are good but kills anyone that is a piece of sht
Just telling you there can be a big difference in battle strength at the same RANK . Like A-rank Woo Jin-chul was stronger than Kim-chul because of technique , battle iq , experience etc .
Just telling you there can be a big difference in battle strength at the same RANK . Like A-rank Woo Jin-chul was stronger than Kim-chul who is a low a ranker because of technique , battle iq , experience etc .
I don't remember but didn't the system tell him him to kill Chul when he started going after him? I know Jinwoo still manipulated the circumstances for that to happen. *I was wrong. I went back to read the chapter and nah, he didn't get a emergency kill quest.
If jinwoo didn´t kill the guy all of them would have died including the guy himself. Also Kim Chul, the guy who got killed, was an asshole. He left the lower ranked hunters to die, which they 100% would have if it wasn´t for jinwoo. After that he tried to kill the low ranked hunters again because they had food, clothers and shelter and to top it off he tried killing jinwoo again in the middle of a battle that would decide all the humans lives.. So yeah ofcourse jinwoo would take his life and arise his ass. He was also needed to win the battle, the final piece of the puzzle. Also: the system would probably trigger anyway and force him to kill the guy if he waited any longer.
While killing people isn't good guy behavior lets take a short look back on Kim Chul's actions. He split the party considering the lower ranked hunters as dead weight and left them to die in a forest he knew was too powerful for them. Then he led his squad into a fight they couldn't win and stood paralyzed while his men were slaughtered to the last. After which he promptly turned and ran away. Then having done all this he discovered those that he considered unworthy to join his squad alive and comfortable. He went right to blaming them for the death of his squad because they somehow kept supplies from his squad and was summarily going to execute them until Sun Jinwoo intervened. Then he attempted to kill Sun Jinwoo instead of attempting to help fight off the enemy first. Kim Chul was in every aspect a liability to every member of his squad and while killing him wasn't an ideal punishment it was the only one that remained because of his own actions. The real moral question is raising him as a undead minion and in the situation it was down to survival making the morality of the action a moot point.
My problem wasnt jinwoo killing the guy because in that tense situation two guys are trying to kill him and one of them is human that is a liability because he’s trying to protect the others since barca is shronger than him he cant afford to focus on trying to solve the situation any other way it’s easily defendable my issue with what jinwoo did is the fact that he killed him because he knew he was going to be a liability but he also basically enslaved him for eternity to serve him it’s pretty distasteful even though its baddass😭 but ye you can see he’s getting colder as he grows stronger
It's the third time he's killed a human being. That's what he was refering to. Edit: It's also the fourth time he uses arise. 1) The army he fought in class change quest. 2) on Igris. 3) On polar bears. 4) On Iron.
no, Jinwoo is based, Kim Chul tried to leave them for dead, and then blamed them for what he caused, Kim Chul deserved to become one of Jinwoos shadows.
what a episode man im still shacking from the animations, no Jinwoo is not a bad guy he just protected himself since kim wanted to kill him also he held back by the last clash to him as a warning. I do believe after i watched it 14 times in row that sung jinwoo wouldnt have made it if he didnt arise kim because of his tank abilitys to taunt him like Sung jinwoo said he is much more stronger as him and it would be hard with igris also it did happen Iron taunted him and the mages used an inferno fire spell against him and jinwoo used stealth and paralysed him aswell also he catched him off guard with throwing his knife and used the ability he got from igris to get his knife back to him like a bumerang.
the horse caught strays just for aura farming

And that Jinwoo setup Kim Chul to be killed. Kim Chul's sword was stuck in the snow next to Jinwoo when he says "I need a stronger fighting force" then when he uses the mage to call in the big fireball he uses that explosion to blow Kim Chul's sword over to him. Kim Chul realized this as he was dying when he said "Jinwoo... you bastard. You knew... this would happen?" Jinwoo took the initiative to kill Kim Chul. That entire fight was insane but honestly the biggest aura moment was Jinwoo snatching the head off that Ice Elf in front of Baruka. Pure god energy
I agree with you here❤
Killing a dude, reviving him as your slave and then changing his name is some diabolical work 💀
18:03 Jinwoo admitted the Ice Elf leader was more powerful than himself and Igris combined, so the odds of him dying (along with all the other weaker Hunters) were greater than him winning.

He ain’t a good one either. In the anime and the manwha, he makes it clear. Stay out of his way or you’re in danger. He only cares about protecting the people he loves and will do whatever’s necessary to achieve it.
Manwha spoilers ahead…
He literally just tells everyone in a conference meeting with high rank hunters globally that if they go after his dad, he’ll straight kill them. He’s more lawful neutral than good or bad imo.
Thomas was even like “I need to stop Hwang Dongsoo from messing with him before he gets himself killed.”
Because he knew those people will turn on him.
Sad they cut out a part of convo from Baek (The Guild Master), he basically said after Jinwoo left that he would have to "be prepared to lose an Arm for a chance to win in a fight"-gives a good idea how strong he already is at this point ^^
Might get addressed in the next episode
In what chapter does he say that? I remember it somewhere else but not in this chapter
@@gfys970 it was there but only in the novel. In the Manhwa it was changed/translated to that he have to give an arm and a leg to get him into the guild
The ICE Bear boss with the flames later becomes a great asset to the team as it levels up and he names it
We love our boy Tank.
@SuperSpells, oh, he's definitely oblivious. The manwha makes it more obvious. The guy still doesn't understand how handsome he is.
@@SuperSpellsl agree with you here
Jin chul be like: y'all farming aura without me? Let me join in
He was in middle of a fight with a stronger opponent. He didn't have time to try to reason with Kim.
The system also would have sensed the bloodlust and given jinwoo a urgent mission like it did with the spider dungeon and kang he just skipped a formality really
He could’ve knocked bro out again but Kim dying did help so I ain’t complaining 😂
Oh! See, I thought this was three different “Kim”’s!!! Thanks for explaining it and not being mean about the things I don’t know.
Yeah I made a comment in another post where, after 3 times, it’s technically self-defense
+ he didn’t actually stab him himself, a “ghost” did 😂
well in manhwa it was intentional by jin woo, he didn't give him third chance but tossed the sword to kim cleverly while fighting the elves coz he knew kim would attack him and he would kill him to help him defeat the boss
Out of all the people I've seen react to this, yall are the only ones to noticed that iron used a taunt! THANK YOU!
We’re gamers after all!!!
Pretty sure Jinwoo said "And?" in the ending scene, because they were talking about the dungeon raids.
Yeah but Jinhoo thought they were talking about something else due to the out of context nature of their conversation, and the way she was leaning in on him
Me snickering when she said he might 'need help' in the future ,,,,,,lololololol
Ya this boss is pretty much the last time he struggles really lol.
@@FranciscoHOS Yes, that's why he says he knew Kim would do that but that's still Jinwoo giving him a choice.
We were not shown the system panel but it doesnt take much to conclude that it forced him to kill again, but to a certain extent i agree with her, it did look like he killed kin chul just to use him even tho its not completely the case
Edit: I reread the chapter and jinwoo planned for kim to attack him so he had an excuse to kill him, which is fucked up. Honestly fucked up
It is also what i suspected since he said at the end it is the third time. Third time he has to kill humans
Nice! Someone who knows the lore.
I don't think the system was actually involved this time, i think of it in a metaphor
Say your in the mafia
The first time - You have someone do something morally gray, they're hesitant but still go through with it
The second time - You have the same person do something morally gray, they're less hesitant this time and go through with it
The third time - You have them do something either morally gray or just wrong in other's eyes, and they go through with it with no hesitation
This is exactly what i picture going on with Jin woo here,
The system only had to tell him to do it the first two times & would've this time as well, however he was already going to do it anyways so there was no reason to do it this time.
Bruh he literally planned his death 😂 Jin Woo definitely killed him

He's not a good guy. He's a Monarch.

I can’t believe how hard they went on the animation here too
I remember he said this to himself: "The more I become Stronger, the more I became Emotion less" 😔😔.
Goat not spoiling so I don’t have to delete the comment 😂
each time jin woo hasnt resisted killing anyone he had to, the first time against the group of hunters he just had to remember that only the strong get to survive and he was good to go, the second time against he assassin hunter he just let his friend take the duel to hide his secret if he could, but in the end he had no problem killing him, he did ask him to be less bloodthirsty so the system wouldnt notice but even after he did all he said was "i guess now i have 2 reasons to kill you" or somnething like that.
TO BE FAIR, even if he didn't kill Kim off the bat, the system would've given him a quest either way. Kim also was going to harm his sisters friend, who he swore to protect. It's deserved. 🤣
Pause at exactly 10:10 with the close-up on Sung's foot. He kicks KIm's sword towards him.
Makes him a super interesting character!
Some people can't be reasoned with nor did Jin-Woo have the time to try and convince Kim.

also we dont know if the shadows are bringing people back to life as their soul or what, because they arent bringing anyone back from the dead, we can see that with the bears bodies being left behind but the shadows still rising from them.

The guy exceeded the systems threshold for murderous intent against the PLAYER had he not killed him the system would have told him to kill him anyway

Sung jinwoo has never been a "good guy" up to this point. Everything he's done is to protect himself, his secret, and certain people.

I laso notice when baek yoonho( leader of the white tiger guild ) asking: "why this guy is so unfriendly?"
Then the healer A rank replied: since after he defeat the boss his mood turned sour all of sudden"

White Tiger guild leader sounds like Kenpachi from Bleach
he is a good guy, had he not did what he did dude was gonna die anyway, I'm pretty sure he has a way to bring him back.

I (Taylor) didn’t actually know he sent the sword over to Kim LOL. That’s a crazy foresight thing to see which is WILD

Totally possible!
He liked that human cause he was attacking him. Just like the other 2x before
So its not that he was less reluctant in killing Humans per-say compared to now its just that as he grows stronger just like any human being you tend to change your views or outlook on things, UGGHHH im a light novel and manwha reader so im biting my tounge trying not to say anything that is a spoiler
11:35 well you can call that ''🌈Self Defense🌈''
in talking about were it's going next you guy's forgot the obligatory beach episode .. but loving the content and both your takes on the show
How could we forget the obligatory beach episode?! Fake anime fans 😮💨
Thats not good guy behavior.... well ...Jin Woo is no superman
Just telling you there can be a big difference in battle strength at the same RANK . Like A-rank Woo Jin-chul was stronger than Kim-chul who is a low a ranker because of technique , battle iq , experience etc .
He didnt kill his cuz he wants. In manhwa he use taunt that's why he kill him
I don't remember but didn't the system tell him him to kill Chul when he started going after him? I know Jinwoo still manipulated the circumstances for that to happen. *I was wrong. I went back to read the chapter and nah, he didn't get a emergency kill quest.
It will appear soon. Just like in s1. Dongsoo’s brother team attack him first then the special quest appear.
16:13 very true, we will soon see
Yeah, Jinwoo is not attracted to her whatsoever lol. Just a misunderstanding
but it was seldefense maybe it was worst but the B rank member was clearly seeking a killing blow
That’s not the third time he killed, That’s the third time “He used Arise”
It's the third time he's killed a human being.
That's what he was refering to.
Edit: It's also the fourth time he uses arise.
1) The army he fought in class change quest. 2) on Igris. 3) On polar bears. 4) On Iron.
@@Raffalius he's killed more than 3 people up to this point. remember he killed people in the dungeon?
@@shrunkin It's the third time he's had to kill humans. The 6 people in the dungon counts as 1 incident.
I think that's the third time he's in a "kill human or be killed" situation
@@brendy_brendy Exactly.
Did bro read the manwha? His reaction to Iron wasn’t near as good as I was expecting
actually he was upset because he had to kill human again
Classic Karlii and her itchy eyes, Fantastic Episode
Call me out on my itchy eyes😭😭😭
@@T_K_Ohhh girl you got the worlds driest eyes
watch eminence in the shadow, legendary
no, Jinwoo is based, Kim Chul tried to leave them for dead, and then blamed them for what he caused, Kim Chul deserved to become one of Jinwoos shadows.
what a episode man im still shacking from the animations, no Jinwoo is not a bad guy he just protected himself since kim wanted to kill him also he held back by the last clash to him as a warning.
So you want him to just look at him trying to kill him and doing nothing
I think you missed the point, dawg 🖤
@@T_K_Ohhhi don’t understand what you mean but the Guy is dangerous and he is not only after him. He might want to kill others too
He killed that guy because he was trying to kill him
Welcome to Korean Manhwas 😂. None of these Shounen BS where the likes of Naruto, Luffy, Ichigo, etc never kill.
slight but not really spoilers, Iron/Kim is stronger as a shadow
