Yes I hate these "high efficiency agitators" they put these in as replacement for regular agitators. While they do clean ok, standard agitatior washers are better.
@@appliancealliance4444 I have a Maytag Centennial washer and it's one of the first vmw washers so it's the one that does have a water level switch and a regular agitator in it as well and I've only had a lid lock go on it two different times but they were pretty far in between the two times
Sad part is that the agitation isn't that bad. If the agitator fins were a little wider and we had a few more centimeters of water, the washing action would be really good. :)
On this machine the agitator needs to be replaced. If you replaced it with a different agitator the rollover would be much better Don't think these machines did too well on the market. You can only wash small loads like this one to have clean clothes. i
GE commercial 525 is the exact same motor as every other GE, even the cheapest GTW335, and a single action agitator. The only thing commercial about it is the cabinet, lid, and metal knobs. The electronics, wash tub, agitator, suspension, water pump, etc are all standard grade GE parts. You can verify this by going to an appliance parts website, look up the model # and get the replacement parts, and then see what other models they apply to. You'll be shocked.
I think this agitator lacks some wider fins, it barely moved the clothes towards the lower plate.

I remember this washer from 2016 I think same agitator and sound but I don’t remember the drain pump overflowing
I created a new channel and no sometimes the pvc drain pipe becomes clogged causing it to overflow onto the floor. Pretty rare it happens though.
If you get the GE commercial 525, I'd like to see the wash action of it. I can't find any video of these GE commercial units that just came out.
