You know you should be able to swap out that agitator with a dual action or straight vane.You will get MUCH better wash action and results. I have the most recent model that's been out a few years already. Works well.
The problem with the that is all these "high efficiency agitators" are single piece. Because of this the the agitator fin design is almost irrelevant. I have seen the duel action one operate and it's not much better. They need to make a two piece that would easily solve the problem of bad rollover with large loads.
@@appliancealliance4444 My current Amana does have the true 2 piece design. Amana had other agitators for this washer. I have three for mine. A dual action and 2 straight vanes. They all work very well. The HE agitators stink to put it nicely.
The only way this agitator might work better is if you select the large water level. Possibility it might move the clothes thru the water. This agitator is absolutely not cleaning these clothes
I understand the concept of these HE washers. Get the most out of cleaning using the least amount of water and energy. But this agitator design isn't really doing much to move the clothes around in a lower filled wash tub. For this to really work, the fins on this HE agitator base needs to be larger and higher to create enough centrifugal force to create the roll over necessary. This HE agitator was not designed effectively and I really don't know how this got pass any Quality assurance tests during the manufacturing phase.
Oh I agree but I believe that the 6 years that we've owned this washer says that it's not the worst option out there... I wish they'd change the design too but.... No bigger fins with this amount of water is how you tear up clothes. I believe this design was more to trick people who wanted an agitator into buying a high efficiency machine.

All whirlpool cabrios, bravos, and oasis washers made after 2007 contained the washplate with thin fins and the rollover for the most part was really good. The problem is the wash action. The wash action has gotten noticibly weaker. For one the the cabrios used a dc inverter style motor which can switch directions very quickly and quicker than the belt drive style set up. I also believe that the motor turned a little faster during agitation.

This is why I don’t trust auto-sensing features. Not enough water. A water level setting is better.

@AYO_VONTE ik but none of the high efficiency agitators do. I mean it does circulate clothes ok but yes it could be alot faster.
The wash action is way too SLOW!!! This extremely SLOW ACTION can NOT clean well at all and definitely NOT enough water!!!!!😢😢😢😢😢😢
