I had the Kenmore portable version of this model. There is actually a water level control low, medium and large, on the medium level it senses the amount of clothing and adjusts it automatically. The washer worked very well. The adjustable + and - for time is the only washer I know that has this feature. Only thing negative was very sensitive to unbalanced load, I put a piece of soft styrofoam behind a little off-balance arm so that it wouldn’t trigger the unit refilling again to try to balance itself worked very well.
So I just moved into my apartment yesterday and I have this washer, I used the normal cycle this evening for the first time and I can only fit six pieces of clothing... Tomorrow I will try the heavy-duty cycle because it looks like it actually fills up more on that cycle
@@Skivory03 hi there yes I've gotten much better used to it I will tell you I just use the heavy duty cycle because it fills up the whole way and it also does a double rinse automatically.... I would not put a lot of clothes in there just fill it lightly to the top but I'm pleased with it
Kirk thank you for posting - this washer really moves the clothes and even though it doesn't seem to be very flexible with settings it does what it needs to - can you do a load of towels in this - I bet the turnover will be good!
This is actually an Asian style washer. I have seen Whirlpool make 6 kilogram versions of this washer in Taiwan. Considering the water usage of these style washers (and your past videos) I do not understand how this is an "HE" washer... Nevertheless, they're typically gentler and have excellent rollover action, so I love these washers a ton!
I wonder if Whirlpool would make a stand alone version of this? But anyways judging by the design, this washer is definitely not made by Whirlpool. It could be made by Panasonic, Hitachi, or maybe even Haier?
If that's the case, then it looks like Whirlpool is heading in different direction for their washers. Haier already bought out GE appliances. So maybe in the future we would see different variants of the washer shown in the video under GE or Whirlpool or Maytag or Amana or whatever brand names.
computeruser75 back in the day this design was made. But as portable washers. On youtube there's videos of a vintage GE washer with an impeller on the bottom. This is nothing new.
Wow for a compact washer I thought it did very well!!! don't see many compact washers these days that have a decent size tub in it??? The store down the street from me where i bought my Speed Queen set had a compact washer there, I didn't see the brand name but it was $699 and you were lucky if you could put 2 pair of jeans in it that's how small it was... Great video!!! Have a great day!!!
This only holds 1.5 cu Ft. Many hold 2.5 and one now holds 3.0 which was the size of the largest full size Whirlpool in the early 1990s which bested the rest of the industry at the time. The problem with the portable that holds 3.0 is that it is 27" wide which is the size of a standard machine. This and the machines up to 2.5 (a mid size full machine before the change in washers) are 24" wide which generally fits the needs of a portable customer.
Yes. Her grandfather and great uncle developed the modern format for the top loading washer. They founded the Upton Washing Machine Co and sold machines to the federal government and then Sears. Later it was renamed the Nineteen Hundred Company and finally after developing their first fully automatic with a curved tub it was named Whirlpool Corp in 1949. I guess we could say that she has good genes but that's sort of obvious. She's a very gifted girl.
I like this one compared to the portable washer from Haier that I had years ago. It did a very good job at cleaning except it did not do a decent spin until about a minute left in the cycle. Do they have this available in a gas dryer ?
I have this unit. Does a good job. Two notes, Heavy duty wash adds more water, and it also adds an additional rinse cycle. I don’t really have any issues with the normal water level, but would prefer to be able to add an additional rinse. The turn over is good on the normal setting too. I have not used the delicate setting
@@bobhodgson3740 I believe HD also has more intense agitation. It will actually turn the entire drum pretty briskly while washing (which doesn't happen on a normal cycle), in addition to the agitator at the bottom.
Wow😳😳 that spins really fast!

You should have tried to add softener in that little space with the 4 little holes provided. Not easy!
I took those 4 holes as some kind of Joke. Maybe one day I'll get it. But a good machine. 3 years without a problem new.

Hello I’m planning on buying this washing machine. Do you mind telling me your experience after 1 year?

Although the capacity is limited. The turnover is exceptional.
Also the holes in the basket the white part are for fabric softener which we all know is bad for clothes and washers but that's what it is
Whenever you get the GE I’d like to see the blanket tests first starting with the one blanket test on the bulky items cycle.
Ge shakes alot
Show me where to put the detergent in
Sounds very much like our Whirlpool Cabrio from around 2010
I just hated they became obsessed with impeller design after replacing whirlpool calypso with whirlpool cabrio

computeruser75 Haier/Whirlpool they are merged from what I've heard.

Yes Kenmore has a stand alone portable washer. Works very well and also has a water level control which this model lacks.
petermazbabie agreed. This wash action isn't new. Hell even hoover made washers with impellers. Just took me a while to realize it.

Whirlpool. The company founded by Kate Upton's grandfather. I knew I always liked them.

How did you get the drum so full of water? I have the same model and it NEVER gets that full. Does the heavy duty cycle fill the drum with more water?
Yes heavy duty adds more water and a two rinses
Hi, need help removing the top of this model as the washtub is cracked. Any video on disassembly or how to get in to the washer insides?
Wow it doesn't take too long to ramp up to full speed.
no dice donde va el jabón ni el suavizante
lava sin jabon
Can someone PLEASE tell me where to put the fabric softener?!
It goes in the spot around the drum where the four holes are.
Every time I lift the lid, and try to add soap the water stops filling, and if your video the water keeps going, how do I change that?
I like this one compared to the portable washer from Haier that I had years ago. It did a very good job at cleaning except it did not do a decent spin until about a minute left in the cycle. Do they have this available in a gas dryer ?
can I wash a comforter or pillows in this machine
Where do you put detergent & softner?
I believe the softener goes in those 3 holes u see on top I have this exact stackable
I have this same model, only a few years old. Sometimes when agitating it will only agitate in one direction. Any ideas what could cause that?
Is it enough large to wash a set of sleep sheets???
Yes. I have this model and I guess it depends on the size of your bed. I have a full size bed and it does my sheets (sans comforter) easily.
I do one queen sheet at a time for a good cleaning.
Where can I get a replacement lint filter ?
ours washes but will not do spin cycle anymore
How to open front panel ?
I am considering buying it, is it working? Can it be soaked, I am my spa shop
How much volt?
The heavy duty cycle use 2 rinses
Wow!
Is 110 or 220 and what is a special 110 cord ?
It needs a 20amp duplex receptacle. The one that has a slash sideways
Kirk can you do a mop head test
The model number has the word wet in it.
That's a coincidence! 😂👌🤟
is that a stator or belt drive washer
It's not big??
Hi Kirk, tks for the video. Just to Know: this washer has 1 full water level or senses the load like the HEs model?
I'm not sure. There is no size adjustment.

Does anyone know after the first spin before the rinse cycle can I still add my fabric softener before the lid locks
HELP
Not made by Whirlpool.
This looks like the RCA model sold in London Drugs.
