I really enjoy the historic details you use to animate the story (such as Catherine the Great's Wedgwood service.) Hamilton wouldn't be the only gentleman to spend his fortune on a landscape garden. It must be quite addictive once you get going. He did a marvelous job. Thanks.

Take a picnic on a beautiful day and do phone ahead to see if the grotto is open, it's absolutely beautiful. Sad you were unable to capture it on this video, perhaps next time, I think it's the highlight of the park
What a treat to find this older video, from before I found your channel! Duck butts, belligerent swans, and all of the interesting history tidbits you shared made this tour a joy. 18th Century Landscape designers like Humphrey Repton, William Kent, and Capability Brown created wonderful private worlds for their patrons. A serpentine lake provided the look of a river where there wasn't one, with a new vista at every turn. Now everyone can enjoy these once private worlds, where Kings, Lords, and Ladies walked by exclusive invitation. I'm glad the structures have been rebuilt/restored, so we can understand Mr. Hamilton's vision. If I lived nearby, I'd be tempted to go all of the time and just walk for hours. :)

Another wonderful film with interesting accompanying commentary! It's as if I'm there myself, I think this way of filming is fantastic. I've seen a lot of them and watch them until I get tired, haha.
Hi Julia, yes was a lovely day, but true to form that nice weather disappeared before the weekend. We went to Hever Castle on Easter Friday and it hard to hold the camera, hands freezing it was so cold!

For this trip we used a combination of a Canon M50 with various lens and a DJI Pocket 2 for the walking stability shots.
