I missed the baby blue aspect of the whole thing and honestly both lucy and josh in the movie aren't like how they are in the book, so I was a little disappointed. The vibe was very hallmarkish.
I agree with Lucy but thought Josh was great! Not how I pictured him exactly but didn’t bother me 🤷🏻♀️ Are you talking about the blue shirts? Because that was in it! A hallmark vibe for sure 👌🏼 but it’s expected with rom coms!
I was so excited to see them come alive but then Lucy kissed Josh in the elevator not the opposite and just the whole movie leading to that point is just too disappointing. I wanted this movie to be exactly like the book but it's not. But honestly if I haven't read the book I would've loved this movie so much.
I think they’re trying to make Lucy more relatable. I actually like movie Lucy better than book Lucy. I don’t like the quirky girl trope. I thought she made Lucy better.
I personally liked both. If I had to choose I think I'd say the book because I feel like the movie scenes were choppy and short and you got to know lucy better in the book. But that being said I like the movie Lucy better than book Lucy.
Did you know that a 15 year old girl (Angelina) sang the opening theme? I think that's a funny little fact, lol 🙃 I also agree that the music gives that rom com feel.
I'm just now reading the book after having watched the movie first and honestly, I think the movie is better than the book. I like some of the subtle changes they made to the plot. Also, other than Lucy's inner monologue in the book, I'm not entirely sure how they should have made her more quirky in the movie.
Interesting! She had the props, but her personality wasn’t actually quirky, even just going off what she said. I can’t think of one “quirky” action she did. She really didn’t have a personality at all & the book character has a very specific personality 🤷🏻♀️ Seems like an acting problem.
I think people are biased towards what they experience first. Because I read the movie and gave it six stars so watching the movie change so much, I didn't exactly like it.
Well everyone says that Lucy hale is so perfect and did a great job plus that was Sally Thorne idea for picking Lucy hale to play lucy Hutton ! I think you ain't better than the author
Have you seen The Hating Game movie?! 💛🥵 It may be my favorite book to movie adaptation yet! WARNING I say "rom com" 1000000 times in this video x

I still need to watch this one but I'm happy to hear they stayed pretty true to the text! Maybe I'll watch it tonight...
It seems like readers complain about Lucy & non-readers complain about Josh 🤷🏻♀️ lol they don’t get his character but he played him to a T 👌🏼
I read this book pretty recently and gave it 4/5 stars! I haven’t watched the movie yet but I’m so excited to watch their relationship on the screen!!
“Who cares?” EXACTLY STORRI. I can’t wait to watch this film!
😂😂 You’re gonna love it!! x
