Ngl I had a sweet idea for the first part of the song being Luigi seeing mario even though it's boyfriend who he really is with but his hatred towards mario makes him believe boyfriend is him and near the end of the 1st song before falling he would stomp the ground in anger because he lost once again or something like that causing the bridge to break causing Luigi to try and jump to boyfriend only to hang on the edge and try to get help from him only for the wood to break that he's holding onto and making him fall into the lava which makes him say "I HATE YOU" Because Luigi is still convinced boyfriend is his selfish brother and instead of saving him leaves him to die which then proceeds onto the second part of the song
I personally prefer the original but I don't hate this rendition of the song it sounds intense and very gritty which I kinda like tbh. But I know Chase can do better than this then again it's getting a remake so Chase Redding can redeem himself. Even he said this song was his worst and wanted to go harder on the drop but didn't know how to do it he was trying to go for a fast hardcore / rock kinda drop but it didn't end up well. Gotta say the first minute and 5 seconds slap the hardest everything else still goes in but could be better.

It's incredible. In my opinion the problem isn't really the spam, it's more how repetitive it is, and how weak the vocals are compared to the lines said by Luigi's voice actor
