    The loft would make a great dining room space for big family get togethers like Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner.

    I probably would have use hangers on both sides of the joists unless you're going through the fascia board.
    It look absolutely amazing.

    Bad ass!!! I love watching these videos. Because of videos like this, during COVID I built a 30x40x13 building and started to insulate it and put a 2 ton mini split. These videos are everything.

    I think it looks awesome dude, if you make a fake rail cap all the way around the new deck, and the existing rail that goes to the bedroom. Would really tie in the existing look at the house, great job it looks awesome. God bless

    Great work to use that space. One idea I am going to incorporate into my building is an elevator using an electric wench. Will be handy for lifting heavier and/or bulky things up to that level. There are several videos on YT for how to build them etc. I little bit late for you, but you could still do some modifications for it.

    What if you're on a post-tensioned slab, and you can't drill into it? What options are there for affixing the posts to the floor?

    Just binged through a bunch of your build videos. Living the dream there man!! I might have missed it, but did you run electrical out into that half wall? I have an idea for something similar to make that space my home office. Keep up the awesome channel!

    A good way to take advantage of space that wouldn't get utilized normally. I like the half walls versus having a railing system. One thing I was wondering is if you placed enough electrical outlets on half walls? I thought I saw only two. Is there a reason you didn't recess the lights on the bottom side of Loft? Do you have any RGB smart lights in your future plans?

    • @Create208
      @Create208  Рік тому

      Thank you! There are 3 outlets on the half walls and 1 for a tv! Those lights are a really good price and are really bright so just decided to go with the surface mount. RGB lights would be cool!

    Great job. I’m thinking of doing something similar and have a. quick question. Did you need to have a footing under your posts or is it sufficient to merely attach them to the slab? How thick is your slab?

    • @Create208
      @Create208  Рік тому

      No I didn’t have a footing for this but the concrete is 5 1/2-6” in the shop. Should be fine!
