There are a few scenes I wanna cry, particularly the self made chef when he was being judged by Judge Anh, he was looking down and peeping up to see his reaction. He was scared and yet hopeful. I can tell he’s really worried and hope to get good feedback. The giant minced pork meatball wrapped around a big onion that was fried and go along with babaocai was like so unique that I want to taste from the TV. I am Chinese but I never heard from Babaocai in my country SG. I hope he made it as a chef because I can see his passion and hard work ❤

Btw, I am so in awe of Judge Paik, he can already tell what’s the food in his mouth when he ate the food while blindfolded. And the other Judge Anh, he’s also remarkable in his high standards. I wish I have his taste buds but I am also a picky eater but I think his is different. I wish I can taste all the food in the show. I am so curious of the taste. I also am curious of the oyster omelette that the grandma cook, the white bimbimbap that I have never heard of, the charcoal grilled steak with salt that didn’t get a pass so I can know what’s wrong with it, I also want to taste the food by Chef Edward Lee because I didn’t expect salad to be so delicious, and the funny big fried meat ball around an onion like how he ever think of that, vegan sashimi by celebrities chef and many more. I just want to taste everything!

This show is really awesome! Me and my employer "madam" here in hong kong watching this with intense, extremely interesting and excitement Korean cooking show really made it far from other cooking shows, more thrill and the twist in every round are so much fun and surprises bring it more challenging The key of this show is more surprise than you ever predict
On episode three and it's good so far, however the translation is throwing it off a bit, like it's taking away from the authenticity of the show. It is as if they got 5 people to translate everything
idk, after I watched the whole episode. I think this show is bios thought new generation and some rule for semifinal is not fair. Napoli Matia didn't go to the tofu round. If he has to go, I think he won't pass. another competition is more qualify than him. He was just lucky. and finally, the show wants to go for the new chef so I don't think this show is fair even it was entertaining but they have so much bios thought new style chef.
...I wish the girl with dumpling was judged by the other perfectionist judge ( Chef Ann).He may be perfectionist but his critiques is rational/makes sense and on point (walk your talk/the dish should taste what you discribe or said, why garnish a bland flower into a pasta dish, right fusion of dish is must for totality of the dish to avoid confusion, respecting the ingredients is important (ex.the veg dishes who nailed/survived ).Classic is gold (Sometime simple is more) .I like him more than the other who based solely in taste alone (Chef Paik).I mean yup it is delicious but food prep (I cringed when dumpling girl flipped over her messly dumplings and oil purred all over around her station)and food presentation is also important in culinary world,C'mon this is a culinary competetion not a home cook competetion, they are all professionals with yrs of experiences. And to mess with a dumpling presentation is just meh.(I understand mistakes if she is cooking the likes of filet mignon, turdukchen, ravioli or some mole de pavo but that is a freakn' dumpling). In restaurants or any food related business may it be fine dining or food truck ,we first ate with our eyes,a beautiful looking dish should also taste as good. I believe there are deserving deferred dishes/ contestant than her.
@@liedshax7619 but her dumpling is creative! She add good ingredients inside, and she add chestnut! She also fried the dumplings specially with starch on the pan for the crispy effect. That’s a thing that people are not doing anymore in my country like adding chesnuts. Our dumplings and noh hiang (local special) are not as good as last time when I was young. The chefs in my country keep cutting ingredients that it’s crap now
I can't deny that she is a great chef. But if she attempts to create a crispy effect and falls short, it can compromise the entire dish. Consider a lava cake or japanese omelette but failed the lava or omelette shape- while it may still taste good but it just not the dish supposed to be, and we anticipate more from contestants, particularly those got passed for perfection in their dishes. But overall it’s a great cooking show, the judges comments are professional and precise.
Yes she's a great chef and her dish taste good but food prep and presentation is must in a culinary competition or in any food or cooking competition . And the fact that all contestant are seasoned chefs and cooks with years of experiences vying for the top in a very fierce dog-eat-dog culinary battle of course they're expected to perform at thier best.Think this as this one you are in a very-very fancy restaurant, all beautiful dishes are on display and on the go would you order a messy cracked beef willington ,heck no--- I will get my money's worth and order the most good looking dish out there.
Please correct if I’m wrong. There’s one guy who cooking aglio olio and I saw he took out from a plastic packaging. But the 3 Michelin star judge gives him a “in” to top 20 black chef. I mean chef Ramsey always against of pasta cooked from store bought. I don’t know. At some time that same judge also has the same mindset of chef Ramsey to judge like if you put decor that’s not edible on the plate, it’s not recommended and the contestant is put on hold. But in this case, the store bought pasta got an “in” first so maybe different standards? What do you guys think?
As an Italian, of corse we also prefer the self-made pasta. But i think is not so bad to use dried pasta, also if it was a professional restaurant. Because he cooked an aglio olio, not such a special one that other guys from italy cooked
He was accepted as a Michelin chef only with purchased pasta, not with homemade pasta. Isn’t it because it tastes that good? In this show, only good food wins
Fresh and dried pasta is just a different genre. It doesn't mean fresh pasta is a must for every recipe. And chef ahn looks prefer a good technic executed perfectly rather than fancy technique but executed badly... like the meat only guy.
i dont think that was a store bought pasta, the first round lets you use your own ingredients, and I believe the contestant has brought the pasta that he sells in his own restaurant.
Viéndolo ahora mismo y me parecía súper bueno pero cuando veo que los únicos que ganan son “los cucharas blancas” siento que está todo hecho para no dar oportunidades a los chef “cucharas negras” por eso no seguiré viéndolo.
I think the black chefs are given this opportunity to showcase their skills in this show. They have audience who seen their face and will check out their restaurants, bar, shops, and IG. Without this show, you don’t even know them. This show is finding Korean top chef. It seems to showcase their skills. They (white and black chefs) all deserve the opportunities given by the show so I don’t agree with you.
