For rhe animation switch, the reason why the game would work perfectly fine is because it doesn't change any of the games code. It changes some of the code for the unit, because units are coded in SQL the ID that's use to play the Super Attack animation you see would get switched. So Gogetas Soul Punisher animation ID would switch to Yamcha
So, you are telling me that dokkan devs were so lazy to just animate an SA with the right pg and so they just used a bad coded sql query to "link" the png of the pg to the SA animation? That would explain why this glitch wouldn't work with other newer pgs, they realized how it was a really uncomfy and much riskier (in regard to bugs) way to make new pgs.
@@Mattia5792 Well kinda, they did animate the SA Animations back then. But they would have to have their own ID for them to work. Called a "special_view ID" (ik this bc I actually am making custom units in Dokkan). When that ID is broken the units SA Animation will be bugged out and potentially crash the game in some scenarios. In this case it didn't do either, it only switched the special view IDs for those characters. So let's say Gogeta did a Kamehameha instead of his Soul Punisher, while a Goku did Soul Punisher instead of Kamehameha.
Another thing I would like to mention is the devs seem to be pretty lazy. As some bugs in the past that they addressed about a units passive (like Garlic JR or even the busted STR Kaioken Goku glitch) were js typos in the SQL when they typed out the passive skill effects that could be fixed in like 5 or more minutes.
Airplane mode felt so diabolical, felt on top of the world when i smashed the whole of the god event 😭🙏 Now we got units hitting those numbers casually 🗿💀
@@yoelmaza8541 Iirc Airplane Glitch actually made it super easy to overflow your attack into the EXTREME negatives, making them do zero damage. Iirc something similar happens on some EZAs at high levels where using the right category units is actually detrimental because the boss' attack stats overflow and do next to no damage to non-effective units, but are normal against the effective category and so do ridiculously high damage
i remember the save scumming lol. when i came back to dokkan after a few years and died on a boss i reset the game and to my disappointment it didnt work anymore.
It still “technically” works, but at a much less powerful rate. You can collect orbs and activate active/standby skills within a turn, BUT, if you changed your mind about slots or didn’t want to activate skills yet, make sure the last unit didn’t collect orbs, and you could restart the game by closing app memory and continuing. The turn is now reset, and you could mix up the rotation and/or activate skills later or in a different order
Also agl lr future gohan/trunks (released just before rz power creep) str super buu (og release) teq hit eza (kind of the same reason as lr future Gohan, but I’d say worse) Edit: int rof boys (global release)
A theory I heard was that the friend Kaioken Goku was maybe used by the devs for testing the Burst Mode, which is why every player had access to it, they may have specific used Kaioken Goku against Vegeta to be funny cause it's thematic.

I want to add 1 that is unheard of and i doubt anyone but me knows. Its basically an active skill transformation glitch. If u have a character whose active skill makes them transform (eza ssj3 gotenks, eza str cooler as examples) and as soon as the turn where their active skill is available, u spam swiping their active skill u will activate their active skill and if ur quick enough to do it mid-transformation it will cause the turn to play. I did this twice but unfortunately didnt have it recorded. The second time I did it I had eza gotenks and lr agl ui active skill, so i did the glitch with gotenks and as the battle began i saw UI active available and so i used it and it returned me back to the rotation with the damage caused, as if it restarted the turn but with the damage done to the enemy. Idk if anyone has actually recorded this glitch, but i literally just did this glitch in one of the supreme magnificent fights recently. Also caused a max time at the end of it, similar level of odd as the airplane mode but found it fascinating to find. (Global btw)
There is currently a graphical glitch in the Cell stage of the Red Ribbon Army Red Zone. 2nd Form Cell mistakenly has the aura of the limit breaker super saiyan 4 characters. However this glitch does not carry over to the STR 2nd Form Cell that you the player can use despite the character being the same. I don't know for how long it's been there but it still remains untouched to this day, though causes no effect on gameplay.
There was a glitch this year on JP with a friend PHY Piccolo. If you did the Goku Fam IDBH stage, there was a friend PHY Piccolo who had insane stats, 71 dodge and 50 additional and crit. His hidden potential is at 99999999% instead of 100%. I got a worthy rivals team to about 850K hp with him as the friend lead
This glitch is not as crazy, but does anyone remember when INT Namek SSJ Goku had a period where if he got hit in slot 2 or 3 after he attacked, for some reason he would activate his "gets an additional super within the turn after getting hit" ability and immediately launch a super attack like a counter The glitch was so random such things didn't happen upon his release but he just somehow became like that before devs fixed it
The dragon stones glitch and the hidden potential glitch were most the craziest, imo. I believe we have a glitch in game even now with the coin shop. If you are lagging at the right time when buying a unit in the coin shop, you can end up with two instead of one while only had paid for one. This happened to me on JP and I believe icjosh had this happen to him as well.

Dokkan was definitely not easy in the days of the Ox King glitch. The STR Broly event was nigh untouchable and it was common for people to use DS to revive, and pretty much the only strategy against the Cell Dokkan event was chain stunning with SR General Blue and R Bulma

Actualy the last thing isn’t change you can do that from the beginning of the game its a software bug that reset based on server load so if u close the app before do the 3 charge of the turn u can reset turn by item rotation and everything
Something that i think was a little obscure and not sure if many knew. But with the airplane glitch it also benefited certain bosses, especially those that could dodge. I performed the glitch in the Virtual Clash around the time i believe Hirudegarn was big boss #2. When i performed the glitch i wanna say like 3 times(?) I could not for the life of me hit him. All 10 turns I couldn’t lay a single hit on him until i got the Dokkan mode. I believe that it doesn’t just stack on your stats but certain other stats with like additionals, crits and more importantly dodge
Adding onto the last one, there was a glitch that I sometimes used, but I guess they patched it. The thing was when you activated an active skill, like for the lr gobros, you can actually roll for a critical hit on the three slots. Like, if you activated the skill in slot 2 and didn't get a crit, you can reset the game and try in the other slots and you might get a crit there. Also, for the nuking items like dabura cookie and cheelai, you can re-randomize the orbs to be more favorable just by switching characters or using active skills. Not sure if they patched that.

The craziest glitch/exploit was the gift box dupe that duplicated the stones that were in your gift box by an exponential amount. This was way back when vegitp phy and rose all were out I think.
@legendaryred24 it was sort of a trade secret amongst certain people. I've asked someone who was able to do it but they never explained it unfortunately. But all they did was take the stones in your box and duplicate them by running a lua.script I believe and there was an exploitable code that allowed for the exploit to happen. I remember walking away with around 14k stones from having like 50 or less stones in my box. Bandai then sent out a ban wave on all the accounts effected in this way (mine included).

I use save scumming whenever I accidentally choose the wrong orb, or if I am trying to figure out how to get a certain outcome with the orbs. For example I find a way to get 7 orbs for phy broly and cheelais gaurenteed dodge by resetting the turn.
For the last glitch, we used to call it the "Whis." Because just like in the anime, you would rewind the time to get a chance at beating the enemy. Anything bad happen to you, just Whis it out.

@legendaryred24 Let's say you're doing the magnificent battle, and you put the blue duo in slot one and they get sent first. If you restart the app and continue the battle, the battle will continue but you can change the slot with where the blue duo are.
i think the 75% dr for 1 turn is a good item, some guy need to get hit to build up so dr is better than ghost usher. Ma boi blue kaioken goku eza was released when his team is so bad, now everyone got eza and he is out of meta. 75% dr for 1 turn is not so op, could help him so much
There is one glitch that happened to me when LR Nameku was released. It's about his passive, it say launch an additional super atk when receiving an attack, but the things I put him in slot 2 so first, he launched an Ultra Super atk then launch another with his mdeium chance passive when the enemy turn and he receives an attack but he then launch another one which already passed his turn, and I was like, How?
None of them are even close to being the craziest glitches when glitches like infinite refund glitch (from apples side) aswell as the rainbow glitch (get 2 copies of a character to rainbow them instead of 5) existed lol
@@legendaryred24 Basically you were able to unlock all hidden potential paths with just 1 extra copy, if you were fast enough. Obviously a human couldn't do it that fast, but people were selling that service using a script for $75. So once you had 2 copies of a character, you pay $75 to the person with the script (or write it yourself) that just spam unlocks all HiPo paths hundreds of times within a few seconds and all paths would unlock. That's what a lot of the self proclaimed "cb goats" on twitter used. They also used the refund glitch, which only really worked on iOS. Where upon a purchase of dragon stones, apple wouldn't ask you to waiver your right of withdrawal and if you're in the eu, you could refund those purchases without dokkan taking away the stones or locking your account. Meaning you can get infinite stones by spending money that you get back the next day. This process could be repeated.
@@legendaryred24 The rainbow glitch got fixed around christmas 2022 after I reported it to Bandai 💀 And the refund glitch stopped working in like march 2023 as far as I'm aware. I don't know if refunding works again or if it's completely fixed since then, as I'm not in contact with people that abused it anymore. But yeah you could literally refund hundreds of dollars, neither Apple or Bandai ever asked questions about it. Ocassionally your apple id gets blocked but then you'd just make a new one and do it again lmao.

Early Dokkan was not super hard tbh. You could cheese it with F2P units. The only hard fight was Broly and whenever we got to the 1st anniversary Prime Battle Goku and even then you could cheese him. 75% DR item for 1 turn was not gonna save teams that were doing 50k damage 💀. Trust me I’ve played this game since it came out Ik how it ran lol

Adding onto the last one, there was a glitch that I sometimes used, but I guess they patched it. The thing was when you activated an active skill, like for the lr gobros, you can actually roll for a critical hit on the three slots. Like, if you activated the skill in slot 2 and didn't get a crit, you can reset the game and try in the other slots and you might get a crit there. Also, for the nuking items like dabura cookie and cheelai, you can re-randomize the orbs to be more favorable just by switching characters or using active skills. Not sure if they patched that.
Yeah that is what I was referring to when I said you could roll for RNG, and yes it still exists. Pretty sure they would never be able to patch that tbh
The other benefit of ox king vs ghost usher is you can still stack "when receiving an attack" passive. Its honestly way better than ghost

The craziest glitch/exploit was the gift box dupe that duplicated the stones that were in your gift box by an exponential amount. This was way back when vegitp phy and rose all were out I think.

@legendaryred24 it was sort of a trade secret amongst certain people. I've asked someone who was able to do it but they never explained it unfortunately. But all they did was take the stones in your box and duplicate them by running a lua.script I believe and there was an exploitable code that allowed for the exploit to happen. I remember walking away with around 14k stones from having like 50 or less stones in my box. Bandai then sent out a ban wave on all the accounts effected in this way (mine included).

I use save scumming whenever I accidentally choose the wrong orb, or if I am trying to figure out how to get a certain outcome with the orbs. For example I find a way to get 7 orbs for phy broly and cheelais gaurenteed dodge by resetting the turn.

For the last glitch, we used to call it the "Whis." Because just like in the anime, you would rewind the time to get a chance at beating the enemy. Anything bad happen to you, just Whis it out.

I wouldn't call this a glitch, but if you are in a battle and send 1 charecter to the boss and reopen the app, you'll be able to resend the charecter.

@legendaryred24 Let's say you're doing the magnificent battle, and you put the blue duo in slot one and they get sent first. If you restart the app and continue the battle, the battle will continue but you can change the slot with where the blue duo are.

There is one glitch that happened to me when LR Nameku was released. It's about his passive, it say launch an additional super atk when receiving an attack, but the things I put him in slot 2 so first, he launched an Ultra Super atk then launch another with his mdeium chance passive when the enemy turn and he receives an attack but he then launch another one which already passed his turn, and I was like, How?
Ik there was something wonky with them two when it came out but it wasn’t recorded on the database so I wasn’t able to refer back to it

None of them are even close to being the craziest glitches when glitches like infinite refund glitch (from apples side) aswell as the rainbow glitch (get 2 copies of a character to rainbow them instead of 5) existed lol

@@legendaryred24 Basically you were able to unlock all hidden potential paths with just 1 extra copy, if you were fast enough. Obviously a human couldn't do it that fast, but people were selling that service using a script for $75. So once you had 2 copies of a character, you pay $75 to the person with the script (or write it yourself) that just spam unlocks all HiPo paths hundreds of times within a few seconds and all paths would unlock. That's what a lot of the self proclaimed "cb goats" on twitter used.
They also used the refund glitch, which only really worked on iOS. Where upon a purchase of dragon stones, apple wouldn't ask you to waiver your right of withdrawal and if you're in the eu, you could refund those purchases without dokkan taking away the stones or locking your account. Meaning you can get infinite stones by spending money that you get back the next day. This process could be repeated.

And the refund glitch stopped working in like march 2023 as far as I'm aware. I don't know if refunding works again or if it's completely fixed since then, as I'm not in contact with people that abused it anymore.
But yeah you could literally refund hundreds of dollars, neither Apple or Bandai ever asked questions about it. Ocassionally your apple id gets blocked but then you'd just make a new one and do it again lmao.

Early Dokkan was not super hard tbh. You could cheese it with F2P units. The only hard fight was Broly and whenever we got to the 1st anniversary Prime Battle Goku and even then you could cheese him. 75% DR item for 1 turn was not gonna save teams that were doing 50k damage 💀. Trust me I’ve played this game since it came out Ik how it ran lol
