Fantastic video! But one important thing you missed out about the intercostal muscles. There are 2 types: External intercostal muscles and Internal intercostal muscles, when you breathe in, only the EXTERNAL intercostal muscles contract, bringing the ribcage up and out. But when you breathe out, the INTERNAL intercostal muscles contract, bringing the ribcage down and in. Thank you for the great video really helped me.
I searched up ventilation igcse and could not find any good videos and then i finally came upon this video and in basically 3min understood the whole sub topic. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :O:)

That is spot on! I left it out of the video as for the course I teach the students don’t need to know that detail but you’re right
