800 calories a day sounds like Exante is taking the piss. I think they know you’ll go through nearly the whole box in a week, but they can charge you premium prices because they tell you it’s two weeks worth of food.
The unflavoured shakes are great. You can add your own flavouring to them. If you mix with an egg and a little water, you can make a scone/bread roll type thing!
A good way to add some thickness, and even a little more flavor, to a shake is to add some plain Yogurt into the mix. Also adds probiotics so, wins all around lol
Maybe use less water Mike for shakes soups noodles and frappe as it will be thicker gunna be an interesting week but I know your survive as you have basil to help you🐈⬛🖤🐾
Small box for two weeks! By the way, I'd consider investing in a couple of cheap box lights from Amazon. Not ring lights, well diffused box lights. They'll make a nice improvement, the picture won't look so 'dull'.
I dare you to try this now with the 'low sugar' shakes. The whole shake range was replaced with a new 'low sugar' version. Which contains potato starch. So although lower sugar, still quite high carb. Probably due to the company pushing for a NHS colab. But it now makes most shakes a shadow of how they were & many not palatable at all.
I was thinking it was a small box if that's 2 weeks of food but if they are 800 cals a day exercise and eat double 1600 cals isn't much if you hit the gym
it really looks like the items need sorting into drinks ( shakes) and meals so how many items are 1 day look like. you may have to shake between each hand or you will build up one arm more than the other. is the shake whey based as not as good for you long term. there are a pea protein shake which is better. for flavour you then may need calories so everything may have no taste hehe. but by the end of the week you will not have the strength to shake the shaker. I went to look at the site your box is wrong looking at the picture on the website. were everything is in rows and sorted. there are only 2 soups in there full range. 1 desert, 8 breakfasts, 8 meals. possible 36 shakes flavours. so most of your meals are just 99% water

Does diet programs like this allow their customers to be able to have fruits vegetables and nuts etc between meals so they don’t feel hungry or dissatisfied? I only ask because when I was on Atkins about nine years ago, I could have certain veggies nuts etc if I felt hungry. And I am most definitely a carb and junk food lover, so I definitely know these type of diets wouldn’t satisfy me. I’d “cheat” and have something to eat between meals. 🤷🏻♀️
The site allows several different diet plans, depending on your goal. Some allow a low calorie meal in place of a product. Some allow snacks. They do now sell fruit/nut snack pouches. Bit pricey. And obviously all products are highly processed.
i have never seen an unflavored shake before though i suspect that what was in that was the base that all the others are made from. I rather like the idea of a shake i could add my own flavors to.
One thing's for certain, on these diets you'll lose weight and a lot of that will be muscle mass. When you go back to your normal eating you'll put weight back on and most of that will be fat. Your body composition will end up even worse.
800 calories is unhealthy(except you are a 4 foot person maybe) and you will put on twice the weight lost the moment your body gets hold of real food again. But you could try a week on 800 calories with real food if you must. Like 1 salad meal, 1 soup meal, 1 fruit salad meal and one 200 calory snack for taste like 1 big cookie or small pack of crisp or even those snack bars. You will see instead of eating one 200 snack bar as in the video, you could eat two big apples or a big bowl of chicken soup and actually feel full for a little bit.

@@themysteriousone don’t be ridiculous. Your body will literally eat away at your lean body mass at a higher percentage than body fat and you’re unlikely to get that back especially at his age. Then when the inevitable happens and you regain weight you have a higher overall body fat percentage and all the other negatives that go with it.
they do a 1200 calories box from what i see. but its not cheap for so little food. you could buy a kg of pea protein shake for £13. which will last far longer than 2 weeks worth of meals. but all we are going to see is he will end up more tired, and have less energy to do anything and he is far less likely to poo since he is eating very little solid food.
Please stop doing these starvation diets. You're miserable when you do them, they're not fun to watch and most of all, they are not good for you. I'd much rather watch you do a week on where you're happy and eating nutritious and tasty food
Mike please stop these crash diets. I know you’ve said off camera you’ve done other quiet low cal ones to. The trouble usually is they don’t distinguish between lean mass and fat. If anything they will eat muscle mass more as can be seen by how you’ve been looking lately. Sounds ok but losing lean mass as you get older is really bad (think sarcopenia and all the negatives that come with it) and if you gain a bit back it’ll leave you fatter as the lean mass doesn’t come back so easy. If you’re going to do it at least get your protein higher and get some dumbbells for home so at least it has some reason to hang around
Worst thing about mela replacement shakes is they always use sweet flavours but neglect to add any sweetness. Tastes like absolute shit. There is one I have which has salted caramel and it is undrinkable. They also have Moroccan cous cous and oh my God that shit slaps. Savoury is much better
I used to find most single serve shakes ok. Some like lemon cheesecake & cookies and cream were actually good. Before they made all shakes a new 'low sugar' version. Now I can't tolerate anything they sell.
I don't think there's anything sadder in the 'food' world than these shake/meal replacement boxes. Think you should treat yourself (and us) after with a week on festive branded food only. Perfect for the season.

My protein and others did it for at least the last 10 years. I used to mix the plain one with my oats and add frozen berries for the flavour
